@@stellagyan541 There is such thing as delusional pessimists too. I categorize these beliefs as optimism, pessimism, naive optimism, and naive pessimism.

Being a realist often gets labeled a pessimist. Just because you are aware and can accept that things won’t always be rainbows and unicorns, doesn’t mean you think about EVERYTHING negatively. What is mantra? Hope for the best, plan for the worst.
@@infamouscrusader3363 yes! Thank you. And they would say that's ok, it was always going to be that way, so enjoy it while it lasts... If clouds come, at least you enjoyed that time. An optimist is stoked that it's sunny, but expects that it just should be that way, and gets upset when the clouds come
@@ApolloStarfall I agree. At the same time, you are clinging more on optimism because they always look at the bright side. The pessimist would be saddened that the day ended but also know the night wouldn't be better.
@@ApolloStarfall Pessimism and Optimism are exact opposites. Personally, I take a more moderate approach considering both extremes are rarely approaches in life. It would make sense to have a realistic approach on things but it makes sense to be pessimistic because often it is negatively that pushes one in life and where growth takes place.
I am neither. I prefer to live in the moment and accept anything that happens. Optimists hope for something but can be naive. And may often be let down due to expectations. Pessimists are skeptics. They can be more grounded in realism but often their bitterness can be debilitating. They expect things to turn out for the worst. Both optimists and pessimists expect a certain outcome. Both are places I would rather not be.

Of course people are generally not deep thinkers and are therefore optimists. How many deep thinkers throughout human history were optimists? Realism is pessimism. Read schopenhauer.
Exactly. The majority of people are optimistic because they never fully understood the big picture on things or further understand what they went through. I myself am an Pessimist-Realist. I am happy when it is convenient but negative concerning future outcomes because there are many things that can go out of hand especially when I am in complete uncertainty.
Who cares about intellectuals? Even all the Schopenhaurs of the world die and go to nothing. Once you're dead, your life won't make any difference because you'll be gone. Eventually, this world will end and even their philosophies will be nil. Nothing is eternal, including intelligence
@@TheEternalClown True. That's why it bothers me how people say they want to "contribute to society" or "make a difference in the world" and all this garbage. I plan on being an author but that is to entertain people and not necessarily teach them anything and that is only because I know that I don't have the right or ability to make an individual think. If my stories do influence people then that is a bonus but I understand my works do not mean nothing in the end and that the world can go on without me or anyone even those who had made their mark in the world.

I feel, I'm a mix of both pessimist and optimist to be honest, I'm bad days and I should just feel mellow and on my better days and actually more upbeat. I wouldn't label that. But I do appreciate the little things I have so yeah I don't I believe you be both a mixer.
Exactly. Of course they will show more optimists because most people are so positive thinking and can you imagine if the majority of them were pessimists. This video would be sad and probably disliked. Also, did you notice how the video was edit just to make her sound bad. It's so biased and only appeared once to speak her perspective. All the optimists got so much time unlike the pessimist who for all we know probably have some good points as to why she is that way.
@@TheEternalClown It points out a view that makes pessimists look bad that's what I am saying. Instead of giving viewers a mutual or complete view on both perspectives, it makes one look better than the other. In shorter use of terms, it is misleading.
