Dating apps are design to addict individuals 2. Emotionally unavailable people are prone to addiction. 3. After a breakup, they will always return to dating apps as faster as they can to fulfill the void. 4. If you are smart and real dater who are looking for a real connection, after a breakup, you go no contact forever, so they need new supply to feed their ego. 5. Because they are addicted to the dating app reward, they know if one relationship doesn't succeed, they always have plenty of fish in the sea. So they won't put the necessary effort to make it work, only on the love-bombing phase. So please, people, stay away from these platforms. @Nathaniel Smythe I loved your commentary :) I had a two-year relationship with a man a meet through OkCupid, and no, I don't advise anyone to go into online dating apps because it is a pool for avoidant, narcissists and other sources of emotional unavailable individuals. Now he is back on the game, after just 4/5 months of our breakup and my question is: who is the person who had a real relationship and healthy mind that will go back into the dating scene right away? The answer is simple: emotional unavailable individuals. Their hidden agenda is what matters, and you will be just a tool for them. It was so brutal that I had to seek professional help. @@alexandramaria7754 How does one find potential mates now? Sure not going to bump into them at the grocery store, while pumping gas, or at the library. Maybe when I'm ready, I should put a sign up at local intersections like they do for garage sales.

@@SpaceCadet4Jesus We can find them in places where we share common interests, for example. Or from friends of our friends, who knows. Online dating can be another tool to find a partner, but you have to be cautious and selective. However is the situation, after a break, we should take a sabbatic period at least one year to evaluate our future, who we are, and what we want.

@@donaczella the twin flame theory is the idea that when we are at source in the universe our soul splits into two and somewhere in the universe there is our perfect match ...someone that mirrors us in every way. It is an interesting theory but remember that it's just that a theory. I think what Susan is saying in her video is a healthier way to look at relating is to see everyone you encounter as potential soul mates as we are essentially all soul brothers and sisters. What I found especially interesting since I am sure I to have met my twin who passed in and out of my life is what Susan is saying about continuing to work on oneself and self growth as tool to be united or reunited with my twin. A word of caution though in terms of the twin flame philosophy or ideal. Meeting your twin isn't something that should be pursued with any type of goal. If and when it happens it will be so natural and unavoidable as you and your twin are destined to meet again and again throughout history . The real problem is people start to obsess over the idea of a relastionship based on a romantic fantasy with their twin rather than experiencing actual human relationships. There was a really good movie called Chances Are in the late 1980s that kind of provides a summary of the prototypical twin flame relastionship.

I had successful LDR bcuz I was attachment avoidant in the past and so distance worked for me. Now I want secure attachment so my needs/wants have changed as I’ve evolved. It depends on the ppl and their priorities. If your on the same page then it works. Know thyself and stay true to you ✌️

I wish they would get rid of dating websites. It has given people the addiction of instant gratification.

I feel for you. Im 59 and i have been single since i was 32, i have had relationships and i have always blamed myself! oh its coz i have 2 children, my job not good enough, maybe its my tummy coz its not that good having 2 kids blah blah!! was married to a voilent narcissist and had 2 realtionships with another 2 narcs! last one was 5 years ago. So im deflated now with men and dating now is like going for job interview they have say 5 people and your dam lucky if you get position and this is with very average looking men with not much to offer.

Despite your legitimate reasons in reducing your contact (in your case going back to work) he is looking for someone who can be there on a more regular predictable basis. It's not your fault. Everyone needs to work for a living and many careers are demanding. If he can't accept the fact that you have a career and (maybe he doesn't and maybe that's the real crux of the situation) wait for you to make contact with him then I would suggest you move on. It's probably not you, but him. Or maybe he was waiting for an excuse and he's not being honest. So, don't take it personally. You're the better person in this situation.
