Cass Elliot was such a pure, amazing singer. I LOVED her voice, her inflection and interpretation. I was so crushed when she passed. Only 3 months later, we lost my younger brother. That year really sucked. RIP, Mama. This fan will never forget you and will ALWAYS love and respect you and your tremendous, larger than life talent.

When they started the mobilization he left Russia. It was very tense because they were refusing some people to leave the country. His caption to the picture was; All the leaves are brown And the sky is gray I'm leaving on a jet plane I hope I will return someday Here is a Russian man who was not even born in the 60's, at one of the most tense moments of his life, quoting and adjusting the words to a Mama's and Papa's song. That shows you the power of words set to music to reach people all over the world. A fleeing Russian thinks of an American song to capture how he's feeling.

Throughout my life I have always missed the greatest events and this was yet another. I loved Cass Elliot so much. It was very hard to reconcile her passing as a child. Thank you so much for sharing the event. Looks like Owen did an amazing job putting it all together. She did her mom so very proud!

Okay this is huge being a child of the 60's and having The Mamas and the Papas, The Lovin' Spoonful and CSN and Y (sometimes at the end of a sentence) also The Monkees love them I was 10 they are my rock music heroes plus Henry Diltz and his iconic photos.
