Video Description:
Medicines are meant to help, not harm. But sometimes taking too many drugs can be dangerous.
Although some medications can save lives, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicates “Americans buy much more medicine per person than any other country”.
World statistics reveal that the United States is the most over-medicated country, resulting in drug-disease interactions.
This is a frequent culprit with so many new peripheral neuropathy cases. More and more people are developing peripheral neuropathy which is being labeled as idiopathic, meaning of unknown origin. When in fact, the origin of the nerve damage is due to one or more of the medications that are currently prescribed for these people.

In my experience, don't trust them. I was born with a serious foot deformity. There was remedial work, and I've got by since. But specialist advice in my 30s advised that most of the surgery had been at best ill advised and at worst incompetent. A few years later, I drove my then infant son for a whole day from hospital to hospital before a surgeon consented to remove his appendix - as it turned out, only just in time. Later still, falling to the floor one morning, I spent almost 2 years suffering from an 'ear infection' before a specialist determined I'd had a serious neurological insult which it was by then too late to treat. The medical industry isn't powerful because it's right - it's right because it's powerful.

I honestly believe it’s more due to an imbalance. I had absolutely torturous neuropathy in my hands and feet until I stumbled on an obscure comment made on someone’s RU-vid video. The lady talked about having my same symptoms and said B12 (Methylcobalamin) and B1 took away all her symptoms. It worked for me and none too soon. I was honestly thinking I couldn’t live with the neuropathy. It’s worth trying. I take Solgar brand which works for me. Sadly the less expensive Nutricost B1 didn’t work that well and caused headaches. I hope you try it if you’re still suffering.

There are a lot of foods and supplements that may help you reduce the symptoms for the meds they’ve prescribed you! Too many doctors are ignoring all the detrimental effects on our health! I had numerous health issues but reading the leaflets of the drugs I was prescribed ie Amlodipine for high blood pressure with side effect of sudden cardiac death I did a lot more research & got some private tests to see what was causing all my symptoms! Heavy metals and 2 auto immune disorders and food allergies! Treated high blood pressure with more raw onions on salads and the high cholesterol with red yeast rice and plant sterols stopped the prescribed drugs reduced peripheral neuropathy to repair my body I ended up on a lot of plant & herbal supplements! Did a detox with spirulena and fruit smoothies got some Coenzyme q10 to help my heart some extra collagen and Alpha lipoic acid plus milk thistle and slipperly elm for stomach to help replace the lining and Apple cider vinegar finally after 4 years neuropathy and stomach and chest pains went without any of their prescribed drugs! Took a multi vitamin and VitD and turmeric to reduce inflammation and I will never trust those 2minute consultations and UK doctors again! Their drugs are all based on flawed animal experiments the animals are poisoned to mimic Symptoms not the actual symtoms or diseases they claim they cures! They are All so quick to try and prescribe antidepressants and ignore health issues and they are all also on Blackbox warnings and cause psychosis and suicidal thoughts the very things they claim they cure and also many health issues they don’t divulge the bad effects of any of the drugs and then dismiss them when people complain about the bad effects! They need to start looking for the cause of the illness and stop treating with bad drugs & ignoring al the detrimental effects on health they cause us! Research food as medicine and you’ll find some very interesting things about which food stuffs can heal your body which plants or herbs or supplements! Can’t thank these guys making these videos enough for telling the actual truth about the bad effects of prescribed medicines as so many have been fooled by Big Pharma including supposedly intelligent doctors!

I had sudden onset of a form of neuropathy (I'm a very healthy 62 year old no medications) to feet, legs, hands and forearms for a number of months. I also had CHRONIC fatigue... Wife thought I was becoming Type II diabetic...but testing showed my A1C was 5.0. Went to Dr...he was of no help. Turns out I gave myself B6 toxicity from diet, multivitamins, and high-end meal replacement drinks (a couple per week). Once I got off vitamins, shakes, and banana/plantains, the symptoms immediately but slowly improved over a course of 6 weeks or so...now I'm back to normal.

Great feedback. Question ? How did you determine or find the problem was vitamins and other things you mentioned ? Did you stop and discover ? Or, did you have blood test or simply go to holistic or functional Dr ?? I have had mild tingling in feet for at least 8 years. I take supplements but not shakes. I take it you mean healthy shakes with no sugar. I'm 70 now and take no drugs. Any feedback appreciated. Cheers

@@mikepeek5655 Went to my regular doctor who reviewed my blood panel and found nothing off so he advised more protein, less water, etc... It got a bit worse as I 'googled' and found several seemingly reputable websites that clued me into B6 (and that it is VERY common to get toxicity especially with the synthetic B6). My symptoms aligned so I targeted B6 as the culprit and tracked everything I ate with a cronometer. Wife was skeptical. She is Type II and has true neuropathy and has recently found relieve from shying away from bananas, which we both ate too many as it turns out. I was taking Ka'Chava...tasty schiff.

Happy I found this, it confirms my suspicions of taking Gabapentin and my increasing issues of mental cloudiness, increasing neuropathy, etc. I stopped seeing my so-called pain specialist after continually increasing my Gabapentin intake to more than 3600 mg daily. I noticed my mental cloudiness and memory getting worse and started doing research on my own. Only 65, survived esophageal adenocarcinoma in 2014 after carboplatin and paclitaxel chemo sessions then removal of my esophagus with a gastric pull-up. I’ve suffered nerve pain after the oncologists stopped giving me opioids and my pcp sent me to the witch doctor of a pain specialist. Since stopping Gabapentin I am feeling more normal even though I still have serious peripheral nerve pain and tingling. I can live with that. I also became type 2 diabetic after cancer which I never was before. Thanks for posting this video, very informative and supports my suspicions of doctors prescribed meds more so causing me worse symptoms and helping me to take control of my life and well-being.

To reverse neuropathy I take 600mg of benfotiamine (B1) three times daily along with the same dosage and frequency of R-Lipoic Acid. I have regained significant feeling in my feet again, and I rarely have any pain. The hands weren’t as bad, although they still do get cold sometimes. I am take 180 mg of magnesium L-Threonate (Best for thinking/clarity/memory) in the morning, I try to take a small dose of magnesium citrate midday and whatever the difference and with magnesium glycinate at night for a total of approximately 420 mg (for men… 320 mg for women). Also, I take 1000 mg of taurine in the morning and again at night. Adults usually do not get much potassium in their diet so supplements are good to take up to 4700 mg daily. I take many other supplements as well and I feel great and I am pushing 70. Lost 50 pounds since January 2020 and a tall person that that is height weight proportionate. Good health to you!😘

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I recently started on amlodipine to slow my heart rate from fibromyalgia. I did notice my neuropathy getting worse and getting more of a creepy crawly feeling in my legs, which doesn’t help my chronic pain. I will take this with me to my primary doc to talk over what I need to change. Fortunately, I have very receptive docs who respect what I bring. It helps that I trained residents and fellows in critical care before my own health deteriorated. I say do your own research! And not Dr. Google! Go to reputable medical websites. Ask your librarian to pull medical journal articles on what you are researching. They have access to medical publications that most people don’t.

Take 5htp powder and lithium orotate instead of SSRIs Carnitine 1200mg and taurine 4g (and 2000 mg to 4000mg of chromium nicotinate) for psychosis/scitzophernia or voices. And you will return to normal quickly, in just weeks. Neuropathy and chromium and vanadium are very effective, all these work better than drugs and have no side effects. Get chromium sulphate powder from chemical suppliers.

I've been prescribed almost all of these drugs at some time and have either been told I'll have to be on them forever, or coming off them is never discussed. I've taken myself (very slowly, taking months or years) off of them except for a necessary thyroid supplement. No one who prescribed these meds - MD, physician's assistant, or prescribing RN - ever discussed side effects or seemed to be aware of those effects or their severity. In recent years instead I have been paying increasing attention to my diet and avoid all sugar. I take my dog on walks on woods trails daily, 365, in rain, snow, or shine. I garden with no pesticides and mostly eat vegetables I grow. I buy free range eggs from a neighbor. I get plenty of rest and sleep. I have two online jobs that I work at from home. I'm eighty years old and live independently with no disabilities or chronic diseases.

My mom was on that bp medicine for years and was in terrible shape and almost died and her doctor never bothered to do anything to help her so I found her some real good doctors and three different doctors said she needed to get off that bp medicine, her blood pressure would shoot up to 260 often and was constantly having to go to the emergency room many times in 2023 until November the doctor changed her medicine and she now feels like a new person and not having to go to the emergency room anymore. My mom has always been in great shape and had her own dance group and she went through a rough time. I told her I would find her a new doctor that would help her and that’s what I did. The doctor said you can’t just quit that medicine all at once because your body is basically addicted to it and you have to slowly over time take less amounts until you can get off of it. They said it was a very old medicine that was made a long time ago and there’s was better alternatives now for long term. My mom was on that medicine for years and it would bring her bp down but then it would spike back up worse body wanting more until it was in extreme levels. I hope my story helps people having issues.

I know you have lots of subs and comments but I would be very grateful if you could make some recommendations that might help me live a somewhat more normal life. Why is it that any time you have a troubling health problem and suspect a medication the doctors will always shake their heads and say no it isn’t the medication. Yet so many of prescriptions especially for the elderly have so many side effects such as dizziness,headaches,stomach pain,heart palpitations and the list goes on. Then they will add even more drugs as preventative measures like statins or antidepressants though there is no issues with these problems. If you ask a senior how many medications they take they’ll tell you anywhere from six to twelve or more daily. No wonder they don’t feel well and aren’t at the top of their game.
@markae0
@markae0 5 месяцев назад
"no it isn’t the medication" because those testing the drugs have a vested interest in it being "good" so don't write bad things down. It isn't written down, so it then doesn't exist.

@@bonniemoerdyk9809 So sorry to hear about your dad. Many Rheumatologists like to prescribe Lyrica for just about any inflammatory disease (e.g. Fibromyalgia, sjogrens, etc.). One rheumatologist gave me samples of Lyrica. When I read the package insert I recognized a similarity to Neurontin - an older anti-seuzure medication which has terrible side effects, including severe depression. I then spoke with a pharmacist who said that "drug companies often reformulate and rebrand older drugs," and in this case the reformulated of Neurontin to Lyrica. I returned all the Lyrica samples to that rheumatologist and found a new rheumatologist, who also tried to prescribe Lyrica, because most Rheumatologists have a small bag of tools (drugs) and that's pretty much all they have to offer. I've been suffering from neuropathy, which has gotten worse the past few months. I take HCTZ, and do supplement with magnesium, but after watching this video, realize it's not enough. Thanks!

Can l suggest multi B capsules every day. Meds almost killed me and l began my own research to regain my lost health. The bottom line is that B vitamins are essential and are depleted quickly when we’re under stress so a daily dose covers all bases. It can take months to slowly build up but dont dismiss them and stop taking. It took three months for me but the alternative was n injection. Unless a nurse is specifically trained for this it can be excruciating. My doctor took ten minutes to administer the shot and then l had to lie still for ten more minutes, but it was a pain free technique. I just take multi Bs daily and it has removed anxiety and depression. Wishing you well from Australia.

Dr. prescribed Lyrica for severe pain in bottom of right foot and numbness. made me very very happy. I could not remember anything started loosing my balance. But I was happy! Driving home one night after work, in my vision, I saw headlights and tail lights across my range of vision. Pulled over and tried to rest. did not help. Had to drive home with left eye closed and right eye squinting. This occurred about 2004. I started having numbness in my hands was diagnosed with carpal tunnel. three operations later, no help. Twenty years later I need glasses with prisms, left hand has little feeling, am labeled as a fall hazard in physical therapy that I needed for other problems. Dr. replaced Lyrica with Gabapentin. First night, one pill, could not walk without leaning on wall. Tried to dress for work, could not put trousers on. went back to bed and slept for twenty four more hours. Few days later, I thought I would try to halve a capsule and that lessened the problem but that was enough for me.

I was put on Ambien when first diagnosed with RA. My doctor told me that i had to take the Ambien so that i got enough rest to be able to function the next day. So i was taking it for years and felt it was affecting my body negatively. And then i woke up and couldn't move. i was diagnosed with GBS. i wish more research could be done on Ambien and GBS.

I used to take Ambien and became habituated to it so I couldn’t get to sleep without it. I slowly tapered off and haven’t used Ambien for years now.

I took it when I broke my leg. It worked for a week and then stopped working.

And as far as my life is going, my mind already feels so much better, mentally just from diet change alone!

They had me on 6 meds for my back, including 3600mg of Gabapentin daily. I slowly tapered off everything and went to all natural.

3600mg!?? I'm on gabapentin for peripheral neuropathy caused by my years of alcoholism. I'm only prescribed 100mg, three times a day. And even at that low dose my doctor and counselor were worried about me getting addicted.

@Rick_Cleland Yes, it started out much lower, but they kept increasing it, as Gabapentin putters out fairly quickly & it takes more to do the same job as before. So, my wonderful (insert sarcasm) doctors kept upping the dosage on it & all of the other things they had me on for pain relief...and I was still in pain....so I took myself off all of it by slowly tapering down and did meditation & positive self talk until I felt I was ready. No one should ever quit medicine cold turkey! Gabapentin is hell to get off. It makes you think you can't stand the pain, but I had natural supplements like turmeric with black pepper, etc. After feeling horrible for 3 days, I was ok and used holistic remedies. Acupuncture helps also.

@@KassiusFineArt I'm glad to hear you're doing better now and using more natural stuff. Yeah, I wouldn't advise anyone to go _"Cold Turkey"_ off anything; especially alcohol, benzos and opiates. Did that amount of gabapentin not make you as high as a kite?

Amlodipine BP Med caused mine! 18 yrs on Mylan til it was recalled ( never told why?), then put on a Ascend brand. My feet ( toes) have been numb for 10 years, moved up both outer sides of legs, while 4 toes & the top of my feet turned grey, & all fingers & both hands are really tight, numb & tingly, along with horrible vision loss, now 425/400! Hemiplegic migraines, switched to throbbing pukey migraines daily, 45 lbs of immediate weight gain, swollen extremely painful knees & legs, with horrible toe, feet, leg, & back spasms. It was the only drug I take. I would get shooting pains up the side of my face like lightening strikes into my ears. I stopped the Amlodipine ( only HBP drug I didn't have immediate allergic reactions to) & now have really high bp, but lost 16 lbs, the edema & severe leg pain went away, but my eyesight has been destroyed, & I am a detail artist. I can no longer see to read, often, cannot see peoples faces, as they blur. I also have extreme fatigue & a non stop cough for years. Just another guinea pig of big pharma.
