I downloaded your starting studio template and it's amazing! I've been using keyshot for years but never bothered with a studio before. Now the products looks better than ever!
I used a similar approach with 360 photos from street view. Modeled a mushroom shaped spheroid that worked as a solid hdri, snapped to ground and then lowered by just a bit, then photoshopped the 360 photo to enhance the different brightnesses, and used it with emissive. Kept the PSD of it in order to make adjustments. It can be done with most photos especially if the subject's at the centre, by following the tutorial to turn photos into environments, but the final aspect ratio doesn't have to be 2:1. It's harder when the subject is in a corner, maybe enclosed by objects, so there lots of guessing is required
This is very helpful Will. If I had an ask for a deeper dive into a subject, it would be how to effectively work HDRIs into renders in such a way that it looks convincing.
Right. That's tough. I mean, not impossible, but can be tricky since ideally you want/need HDR content for that. Still a good request. I have some ideas that might help if I can work them into a future tutorial!
I just discover your channel, awesome tutorials and super well explained, thank you very much for sharing! PS: I think the link for the project files redirects to this video instead of downloading.
Hey Will!! This is very helpful and awesome content! I just downloaded this tutorial from your website, however it does not contain the Keyshot file on the ZIP file... Is there a way you can update it on your vault, so I can replicate as is, this tutorial? Thanks Will, I really appreciate your help!!
Thanks, it would be better if you made a detailed step by step tutorial... Anyhow great tutorial and learnt a new way of adding background image on planes and also dramatic lighting technique... Followed for more tutorials and skills.
Can keyshot actually render glass transparent ??? How can I render transparent glass, not just the body but the see-through part of the glass as transparent? P.S I have checked Include alpha transparency Background: Color Image: Basic
Please make a tutorial on realistic looking milk in a glass bottle please! I have been struggling to make the milk look right as it always turned out to be black inside glass bottle.
You need to use the translucent material for the milk. Make sure it has the correct IoR value. Also, make sure the milk is protruding into the glass material. Finally, render with caustics on and in product mode and all should be good!
Where you throwing shade at Solidworks?! why? i love solidworks best program ever!!!! :D also can you try fixing my renderings on one of your i try to fix your rendering vids pls i would love to know what i am doing wrong and how i can improve thanks for all the hours you put in to teach us you are the reason why i bought keyshot i felt confident after watching your videos thanks a bunch
Hey! I really apprecaite you comment and the support. I was poking fun at Solidworks, but honestly, the tools don't matter. Use what you have and do the best you can with it. No doubt, it's got plenty of features that Fusion360 does not have.
