Lindsey takes something simple and explains it beautifully were as us guys would analyze, buy multiple pedals, read tons of mags, and watch every RU-vid video on relay. Thanks L
I recently just picked up my Boss DD8 a couple weeks ago. absolutely wonderful piece of gear and tons of settings and modes packed into it, including an Analog mode. well worth the money. it's got a looper in it and everything. Boss can simply do no wrong with their pedals. The DD8 owns!
Glad you made this video. I’ve been trying to find the delay sound I wanted and now seeing this, I know that slap back is what I’ve been looking for. Less time figuring that out means more time playing. 👍
Absolutely fascinating stuff, encouraging me to explore the settings on my meagre amp as I've only got a looper pedal. I will experiment more now with my amp settings. Thanks for sharing 🤠🎸
That was impressive. I didn't know that much about the delay pedals. That reverse Delay is spectacular! Thank you Lindsay for an amazing video. And I tried the new Tone Master Blond amp. All I can say is you need to try it without further delay. 😉
Hi marty, i got into guitar during quarantine and theres this song called «bloom» by the paper kites i would love for you to cover. Other tutorials arent as good as yours, keep doing you!
I just like my delay subtle like over lead lines etc. Kinda like how Marty Schwartz demonstrates in his carbon copy indtructional video. Which one should I get? Clearly just something simple right?
Beginner question. Lindsay spent a bit of time on "double delay" but did not explain how to get that effect. I have a couple of delay pedals--what settings would achieve the "doubling" sound?
texanfournow usually if you turn the volume up the decay down so it will not quiet the second but you only get one repeat you get a true double. But if you your not careful you get that infinity delay feedback loop where that sound is repeated over and over if your decay is too long.
Perfect timing on this one. I just ran across some fantastic suggestions out there for clean settings on my Blues Jr. that've really caught my ear. This is a nice, clear, concise demonstration of some stuff to take up my Sunday night. Thanks!
This video seems like it had a lot of hard edits that made it distracting to watch half way through that’s what I was waiting for. These are usually way better.
You are a guitar god! All your videos on effects are amazing. I’ve been using the delay on my Katana mkII amp for the last few days as you said for a richer tone, and just this morning I tried turning it off just for comparison. Absolutely huge difference in tone, absolutely gorgeous. You also got me using reverb properly. Your explanations of how to use gear aren’t so geeky and techie as others; you talk about gear as a musician, not as someone who just likes to shop. So with your lessons I’m not thinking which make and model are the most highly recommended by experts, but rather what do I want. I would love to get a lesson with you sometime, and when I’m back home in LA I’d be happy to buy you lunch.
