LOL... that 2049 tone is WAY more aggressive than the Edge of Tomorrow .. So was the Joh Wick Pulses. Nice to see something different in there.

Edge of Tomorrow is at an extreme level, quite close to 0dBfS, but they are just sine tones, so they'll look less intense than more complex wavepatterns

Alternatively if he's watching the Atmos-mix of EoT, the tones in the intro have been reduced significantly compared to the original DTS-HD mix, for whatever reason. Perhaps to avoid damaging peoples' equipment. The last, more likely, possibility is that the tones are close to port-tuning, and therefore cone-movement is less.

I think its actually the Stereo Integrity subs in the background in this video. The Perlistens are behind the seating as of this filming.

Off topic, I know I am sorry, with arendal quitting the 1961(I was going to get 11 monitors for 7.4.4) and you are on of very few people talking about Aperion. How would the novus slim lcr monitor stack up to the 1961?

I’d have to put them side by side to do a real comparison, but I think the Aperion would do very well.

Hi jiles, can you please share the data for these sweeps for sealed and vented including 0 to 10hz? I'm interested to see in the sealed mode if you get any room gain for the the 8-10hz region?

I don’t sweep from 0 to 10 hz. 0 is really just a dead short.

Room gain will work the same for either sealed or ported.

Thanks. I just know Arendal supposedly cut off the power at 10hz so wondering if it digs down meaninfully to 8hz like some Perlistens do. How do they compare with D15S mate? @@JilesMcCoy

Innocent question: What are the benefits of a subwoofer design that incorporates dual opposed drivers?

More output than a single driver. Smaller box geometry compared to a single huge driver. Reduction in box movement. Singe plate amp vs 2 for 2 separate woofers. Check out the video and the measurements. Dang!

Really different set up. The Harbottle is a single driver passive sub. This is a dual driver active sub. It all depends on what you need for your room.
