Yeah your right babyface wrote the ish out that soundtrack. Babyface wrote majority of those songs for Whitney to do, but she didn't want to do the whole album by herself, she only wanted to do just a few songs which was 3 in total
@@jameskirk1638 yeah me too. I can only imagine if she quit smoking. I will she she tried because her voice was completely gone in 2006. But managed to get some of it back for the I look to you album. Such a shame she is no longer here anymore.

Aretha said that her smoking didn't bother any of her singing, or reaching any notes. She said this on national television. I wasn't aware of her ever changing that statement.😮❤😊!!

I think her emotive ability increased over the years, just like Whitney. Feeling something in your teens compared to 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and up, must be so different. I like this song, it’s sad though. I remember the scene from the movie.

@lsaturn01 Aretha's voice did come back for a hot second in 1993 or 1994. Now my question to you is how many Newports did Whitney smoke a day? Aretha smoked for over 30 years and smoked 40 cigs a day. Anyway isn't Whitney still struggling to get her voice back? I watched a video of her in concert a few months ago and she sounded dreadful to the point where I felt sorry for her. I haven't heard anything from her lately so hopefully her voice has improved.
