When Dennis said "the greatest singer that ever lived", Ms Aretha looked surprised. When Ronald said "in this whole wide world", she said "amen". She went from "surprised to "took pride" in one sec.
I was backstage. I was in the band that played behind all of the other singers onstage during their sets. Aretha did this for her set. It was in Cleveland at the R&R Hall of Fame, where they were giving Aretha her honorary Doctorate. Chaka Khan had a set too! Dennis and Aretha were a couple back in the day...(Can't you tell?) He inspired Aretha's, "Daydreaming And I'm Thinking of You". We were backstage falling all over each other!
Dennis and Aretha dated back in the day. They were remembering the days when they were alone, This brought back memories, they forgot other people were on the stage❣❣❣
Outstanding: All Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees....Aretha Franklin 'The Queen of Soul' and first female inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Ronald "Ron" Isley of The Isley Brothers, RIP Dennis Edwards; The Contours, The Temptations; Feb.3,1943-Feb.1,2018) Thank you and God bless. RIP Legend. Thanks for the upload, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Blessings
No disrepect, however I would have liked to have heard more of Ronald Isley( what did they have him up there for?) Rest in peace Mr.Edwards, such a loss.🙏🙏Another loss, " The Queen of Soul", Rest in Peace.☝☝🙏🙏✨✨
Exactly. The exact thing I was thinking. With Edward squeekie voice. I was ready for Ron to test it up..... Rest in peace; Queen of soul, music, Aretha Franklin, love you and missing you. RIP Edward.
I wanted to hear more of Ronald Isley. I remember Aretha recorded this song on her, Let Me In Your Life album. She tore it up. The Temps did a very good job on it, too.
Day dreaming and I'm thinking of you, Aretha wrote about the feelings she has for Dennis Edwards💕. Poor Ron got himself caught up in the middle of this 😂😂😂. And they not even thinking about him. Ron's like, okay they're having a moment. LMAO
I love this..look at Cissy and Jerry in the background. Can't no one touch Ronnie or Dennis. I love Karen Carpenter singing this song also..this is a classic..
I think this was a SPECIAL moment between Aretha and Dennis. She wanted to do it. She DID. GRACIOUS she was. OH YES. A Heart of GOLD. I mourn for your passing. You will always be the QUEEN of SOUL. A NATURAL. A GREAT MOM and a LOVING person. Hey, U R a NATURAL WOMAN. RIP
Dennis was a "sangin' brother!" Aretha the undisputed "Queen of Soul!" Isley must have felt like he was the proverbial "crowd" blocking some action; the way Dennis and Aretha were fawning over each other and he wasn't contributing much of anything to the song. No doubt the two of them reminiscing over those precious memories of days gone by. Rest in peace two of the greatest singers ever to uhhhh, do it!?!🎤🎹👑🎶
Aretha never lost her voice, even in later years. I am blessed and privileged to share among others the music and song of this great Queen. I miss her so much. Just knowing that she is no longer with us breaks my heart, but at the same time believing that she is at rest and in the loving arms of our Divine Creator. Tearfully Yours..... A grieving fan.

Nobody’s voice lasts forever. People love to criticize yet would LOVE to have had a fraction of the lives these legends have had. Beautiful Black voices! Rest in peace Queen Aretha & the incomparable Mr. Dennis Edwards.🤎❤️
Naw, I don’t think he was being rude, he just forgot where he was and he was locked in on ReRe, I think he and Aretha was having a moment of memories after all she loved her some Dennis Edwards back in the day. But, Ron got his piece in there towards the end😁❤️
