When she kept singing, "answer my prayer" over and over, I lost it. I broke down. I know what she was talking about...It was then, I knew her time was getting short...RIP 😢😢😢

She NEVER had an off day! And this final performance is at 76, thin and frail, most likely wracked in pain. Take note, millenials. There will only be one Queen of Soul.

You can tell she's in pain. But that voice didn't change. Still same old Aretha!!! Today's singers aint got nothin on her! Take note youngins. A true legend! The only Queen!

Her health may have been failing, but her passion for singing never left her. That golden voice was a gift to the world. Rest easy Queen. 👑

When she put those hands together and had those eyes closed i could've fallen OUT! I'm so hurt. She was so small. 😢 this is still really hard for me to shake.

It's hard to believe the grande dame of Soul has been gone 5 years. I first heard Aretha Franklin when I was 18. I had never heard such a powerful voice as on her album Soul Sister. I was an instant & lifelong fan. Her passing was an incomparable loss to music. 🌹🌹🌹

The Queen Miss Aretha Franklin was a very beautiful woman, I feel in love with her when I was 15 years old. That voice saved my life. My father had just died, June 1973 and I felt like the weight of the world was on my shoulders, There will never be another Queen of Soul that was only one voice that will live forever and that is the voice of Miss Aretha Franklin. R I P and Love. I will always love and miss you

To see Ms. Franklin this way saddens me, but also applaud her for her strength and courage. I am sad that Ms. Aretha's prayers and my prayer requests was not successful, as she wanted to heal and continue being here with her family and friends. I immensely hate illnesses and cancer, as usually people who become sick are the individuals who try to not become ill. Since Aretha complained of pain in her left side in 2010 according to an article, I question what were the Doctors doing and did they check her pancreas then? That is how Patrick Swayze, Michael Landon, Jack Benny and many other individuals health declined, as the Doctors did not check the pancreas to after the organ worsened. There must be more awareness raised for pancreas health.

Over . Dietary . Aide at . The . Art. Center hospital on . Woodward in . Detroit . Michigan and so mom had to take her tray of food up to her room and mom gave. Aretha a big hug and they talked a little minute and mom told . Aretha whatever she wanted that she would make sure that . Aretha got it ,lol, so much love to all of the . Franklin family and we be thinking of . Aretha especially on this day and try to have an awesome rest of the day.
