I love how Aretha incorporates left field songs like this in her concerts. Aretha has such a wide scope which leaves most modern R&B singers and a lot of her contemporaries in the dust.

Just amazing interpretation. She's amazing...also this arrangement is really cool, her conductor is really creative. Does anyone know what the underlying groove, which becomes prominent towards the end is called? I cant find it with any of the traditional arrangements of "Cherokee"....

Wow! Thanks so much for this video. This is by far the best video of this performance at the Jazz Fest. She is surely a timeless legend and this proves she can sing any genre with aplomb. No lip-synching or voice enhancements going on here. Just pure raw talent. Many of todays performers could stand to take a few cues from her of how to sing and perform.
