Aretha was usually guarded in interviews but you could tell when she liked someone she was very lighthearted here

...she always liked Bryant....i think she crushed on him a bit too...he was very classy to her....and he loved her too...he appears in her music video for EVERYDAY PEOPLE....by SLY and the FAMILY STONE....

Bryant Gumble did a clever interview, albeit he probably barely knew of Aretha's history other than headlines. She was very natural and handled his rapid questions well.
