Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir Season 5 Episode 18: " Emotion "
Summary: Adrien must attend the Diamonds Dance organized by his father and Mrs. Tsurugi. He will be the king of the ball alongside Kagami, who has been chosen to be this year’s queen. Neither Adrien nor Kagami want to go, but they are only teenagers who cannot disobey their parents’s orders. When she finds out that Adrien did not dare to tell her about the dance, Marinette decides to go too. But how will she enter such a private event where she does not seem to be welcome at all?

Things to take note of Argos: 1. Argos is *not* evil, he is actually pretty pure and good willed... Take the biggest note that he kept saying he never wants to hurt anyone but the ones that hurt him and his friends and family, and that he did all his plots and plans for Adrien (as he mentioned in this episode it was all for him), and you'll understand his true idea and true heart in future episodes. 2. Argos does not want to create senti-monsters, he doesn't even like them being called "monsters". Argos truly believes that the creatures the Peacock Miraculous makes are true beings, alive and have emotion. He sees them as friends and family, which is why he found it difficult to release the Red Moon from existence and why he called it his "sister". (Btw, Cat Noir also sees senti-monsters as creatures that are alive, as he raged when Mayura got rid of Ladybug senti-monster) 3. Argos is *very emotional* (emotion concept of the Peacock Miraculous), its fair to say that the miraculous makes the holder feel emotions to a higher degree and display those emotions. Final note, I hope you are ready to see and fall in love with Argos, also that "ring" that Felix was wearing is a replica he made from Adrien's ring to make sure people will truly see him as Adrien. (SPOILERS AHEAD:) You will learn everything and thanks to him, he's one of the reasons this arc is finally over.

I love that they used a Greek myth as a reference for Argos. The name comes from Argus/Argos, a humanoid that 1,000 eyes all over his body. He was created by Hera to watch Zeus and warn her about his continuous affairs. When Zeus noticed Argus, he killed him. In honour, Hera laid his eyes on the feathers of her favourite bird, THE PEACOCK!

Felix holds a lot of anger towards Gabriel because: 1. He knows that he’s Monarch 2. He controlling ‘centimonster’ Adrien like he was being controlled. 3. He found Emilie’s body in Monarch’s lair and believes that he did something bad to his aunt. 4. Gabriel mistreats Felix and his mom.

But when gabriel transforms into monarchs skin is purple now. And he isn't unifying with any miraculous anymore. I think it's maybe a choice but blue skin might be the default(i mean shadow moth didn't have blue skin). Or maybe it doesn't matter and in reality you're just blue when you wear and use the peacock miraculous and im over thinking this

It's really interesting to note that Felix's sentimonster allowed him to snap people away the same way sentimonsters are snapped out of existence. One of my favourite symbolisms in the entire show. (Also, this episode instantly became my favourite episode of the entire show.)

Felix is a very complex character, he has his own understanding of whats right and wrong, he is willing to do whatever it takes to obtain his goal, but unlike Gabriel, his motives revolve around obtaining the one thing everyone else in the world has but take for granted, freedom. There is still a lot to know about Felix, but for now, what we do know is that he is not evil, but he is willing to do bad things to do good, so antihero.

The name Argos comes from Greek mythology. Argos is a hundred-eyed giant/beast or you could call it a (senti)monster. After his death, Argos’s eyes were transferred by Hera to the tail of the peacock.

That’s not the cat miraculous. Felix created a copy of the camouflaged ring to be fully identical to Adrien. That ring also kept Red Moon’s amok.

1. Emotion here along with referring to the use of the Peacock Miraculous by Felix also refers to the overwhelming EMOTION he felt of anger towards everyone in the world being controlled and Marinette's intense EMOTION of anger towards Felix when she saw him again. 2. Up until this episode, we never knew much about why Felix was acting the way he did but now we know that he's sort of a freedom fighter who believes any form of control is bad including Ladybug's leadership. He only wants to free Adrien from his father's control and to do that he needed to trade all the Miraculous with Gabriel for the Peacock Miraculous and then come back on the day of the Diamonds Dance to snap away all the rich entitled jerks at the party to save Adrien. When he met Kagami and sensed that she was a sentimonster too, he included her as well and when he saw Marinette come out of the crowd to tell "Adrien" that it's OK that he didn't tell her about the dance, he realised that Marinette genuinely cares about Adrien and decided not to snap him away speaking of which... 3. This episode shows how far Marinette has come as a character with her doing something as Ladybug she never would have done back in season 1 a.k.a pull a Cat Noir. She let go of all control and sacrificed herself trusting that everything will work itself out and Felix would see the error of his ways on his own. Sometimes things are like that and there's nothing you can do but take a leap of faith.

Just to clarify, Felix never had Adrien'a miraculous to begin with. He made a copy of the camoflauge ring that Adrien wears in order to be fully identical to Adrien. If it was indeed the real ring, it would go into it's base form, when he takes it out from Adrien, then when he puts it on, it will have his own camoflauge mode and the kwami would have to come out, in this case, Plagg would have to come out and Felix would know Adrien is Cat Noir, but that never happened. This did seem to be a common misconception with this episode, but I hope my explanation helps you understand :) Great reaction ❤

@@tytesz2371 Its not that confusing, and the show did reveal last season that Felix made replicas of Gabriel and Adrien's rings... Hence why the episode Gabriel Agreste happened. *IF* it was Adrien's ring Plagg would appear and the camouflaged mode would change to Felix's camouflage mode (which we dont know what it is), also why in god's sake would Adrien disappear into the Red Moon but his ring would stay? -Now that doesn't make sense.

I would like to think that the reason both Gabriel and Argos danced to the same song (rather than to also save budget) was to show us just how similar Argos was becoming to Monarch (In terms of using his power to get what he wants by hurting innocent people in the process). Just like Ladybug said, "You're no better than Monarch if you use the same methods he does!" Its only after Argos is led to believe that his powers ended up hurting the ones he cared about when he realized the kind of evil path he was taking (after all, Red Moon was made from the emotions of Argos, which was probably his immense anger and hatred as he kind of says when speaking to red moon). 10/10 episode and reaction

THIS WAS THE PEAK OF THE ENTIRE SHOW. Felix might be the best character in the show so far. Ladybug VS Argos might be the best fight in the season, it was loaded with Emotion: Felix fighting for his goal and seeing LB as the same kind of person as Gabriel, and LB with her repressed resentment for Felix since the end if S4, and the NOTHING Lucky Charm was an awesome twist.

Well, granted, Felix sang it in English where Gabriel danced as it played in the background in French. Felix's dance/movements while singing were arguably better. For Gabriel, it felt like I was watching a dancing giraffe. It just looked unnatural. Bryce Papenbrook is such a talented voice actor, truly, but in terms of animation, Felix's time with the song was just executed better.

Ladybug doesn't decide what the Lucky Charm will be, the universe does. Ladybug just has to figure out how to use the Lucky Charm, the charm adapts to any reality and any universe... So the lucky charm didn't actually provide anything because the universe didn't believe Ladybug should need one to defeat Argos.

The song Félix sang IS EXACTLY the same one Gabriel sang in "Deflagration". The English dub and all the others didn't dub the original French dub of the song, but it really is the same. But I guess Argos owned that song. In fact, "Emotion" aired before "Deflagration", so Miraculers consider the song as belonging to Argos.

Félix's dad died some time AFTER Adrien's mom. In "Félix", Adrien apologizes to Félix for not attending the latter's father's funeral, saying that Gabriel didn't allow him to go because he had just lost his mother.

Interesting thing to Think about is that ever since Master Fu lost The Miraculous the Peacock Miraculous or up till Gabriel and Nathalie found it has been broken and pretty much takes the life energy from the person and kills the User (Emile and Nathalie) and the fact one person can creat a Senti Being at a time

I just love how outspoken Zoe has become. She was already quite clear in her intro episode about how she didn't like having to act snobby and everything, but now she just openly makes sure everyone(including her own family) knows how she feels about all of this. This whole Diamond's Dance is SO CREEPY! Zamber at 7:11 - "Felix, stop!" This feeling will escalate I'll bet. lol Annnndddd Thanos has now arrived in Miraculous Ladybug. :P Yeah, the song number really caught me off guard. >.> But I still loved it This episode honestly did an amazing job of making me care about Felix now. Like, I'm not forgetting the bad he did in the past, but you could see he really was trying to do things that he thought would make the world better for those he truly seemed to care about.

You know, Zamber, "Emotion" is perhaps the most perfect episode in terms of animation, as there hasn't been found any mistake in animation so far. But the episode also embodies its concept in every sense of the word. It's not just about Amokization, but also there are a lot of emotions flowing in it. Also, the ring Félix had that looked like Adrien's camouflaged Miraculous is a fake. Félix made it so no one would suspect he was not Adrien, while also using that fake ring to hold Red Moon's amok.

Essentially, my take is that they were showing the audience that she couldn't stop Felix from what he was doing. The only person who could was himself. It wasn't worth Ladybug fighting him because the moment he would try to please Adrien by bringing Marinette back, he'd reverse everything once he realized that he couldn't. In the end, seeing the pain Adrien and Kagami were in with Marinette gone was all he needed to bring everyone back.

Great episode and the next one will also be good! Felix steals the show with that transformation, the dance moves and the end of it. Amelie was a nice touch and liked the scene with these two. And Lila, I keep thinking how long did she know about Gabriel.

I have suspected Kagami may be a sentimonster ever since Gabriel told Adrien they were cut from the same cloth, as I had suspected he was also a sentimonster. This applies to Félix as well, given he seemed to obey Gabriel the same way Adrien does when posing as him. If Kagami is a sentimonster her amok may be in her ring, as they made a point of Félix looking at it when they met. He had the peacock miraculous at the time and may be able to sense it is in there. I think this is the first time they've met, not counting when she was Ryûko. Félix calling Red Moon sister pretty much confirmed it for me that he is a sentimonster, exactly what is going on with that is unclear.

28:06 you definitely seem right about the whole Kagami sentimonster sotuation the holders of the peacock miraculous can sense amoks and sentimonsters (this was proven back in season 3 when Nathalie was shocked to sense the amok in Feast). Because Felix had the same reaction with Kagami’s ring, Kagami’s ring must contain her amok!

i just watched these last 4 episodes a few days ago, And on episode 15 i was just admiring how purple Monarch is and how many powers he has, and it eventually reminded me of Thanos and i thought "He's already trying to reset the world or whatever, wouldn't it be crazy if he had the power to like, wipe out half the population of the earth that'd be wild" and then 3 Episodes later Thanos Felix shows up snapping people out of existence

I feel in this case, Marinette / Ladybug herself WAS the Lucky Charm. The Ladybug Vision highlighted Felix / Argos and it's like she just knew exactly what to tell him to push him towards the realization of all the harm he was causing.

Im curious about the marinette, gabriel interaction. Marinette said she wanted to have a heart to heart with him to get him to see that Adrien and her belong together. Also back when we saw timetagger and he said he worked for the hawkmoth of the future and it wasnt gabriel, it could be lila. She knows his identity, when hes gonna akumatise someone and isnt going to pass away. (At the same time it could be Mrs Tsurugi, she knows and now knows gabiel and natilie is gonna die) 🤔 just a thought

SPOILER FREE (since it was already revealed in this episode that Lila knew Gabriel is Monarch) Okay, did you knew that Lila might have found out that Gabriel is Monarch since the first episode of this season? I have read the leaked scripts, and it was written there that while Nathalie was talking to Gabriel on phone, about her not wanting to help Gabriel again, Lila “might have” heard their conversation. Lila was supposed to be standing behind Nathalie, and Nathalie did not saw her until the end of the call.

Aww, I forgot that you uploaded this yesterday. WELL I'M HERE NOW! 😁 I remember that when you listened to Gabriel singing and dancing you were like "EWW STOP!!!" but then you see Argos singing and dancing to the same song and you're like "Wow! Me likey!" 😂 Kagami called liar girl "just a stone" and Gabriel is yelling at her and he compared her to bottles of perfume. I CAN'T BELIEVE I ACTUALLY LIKED GABRIEL FOR 14 SECONDS! This is one of the BEST episodes in this season. Yeah, brace yourself for the liar girl. We ain't done with her.
