It was in 1984 on european championship rally where ari passed henri toivonen on stage when henri was driving porsche and ari was testing peugeot on world championship... so it was told by juha piironen who was henri toivonen co driver in that porsche...

Ari Vatanen is the best Peugeot driver and i´m very proud i have 205 (GTi) - same car as this legendary driver...a few months i will racing hill climbs with it so i hope i do not make disgrace ;)

B-s problem wasn`t power or speed but safety. They tried to make cars light as possible and weakened cars constructions. It killed Toivonen (the cabin of Lancia Delta S4 was very weak and was thrashed entirely and the primitive gasoline tank was uncovered too), killed Bettega (the cabin of 037 was weak), killed the co-driver of Marc Surer (Ford RS 200 was destroyed into pieces and the gas tank expoloded), almost killed Vatanen (cabin did not protect Ari at all).

the crazy thing is that one driver from this car (I don't know who) said that he wanted less horsepower, this car is too fast for him. and if a professional driver is overstrained with his car, it must be FUCKING fast! :-)

Well, the most successful rally car is actually the Lancia Delta grp. A - 4WD, Integrale 8v, Integrale 16v, Evo 1 and Evo 2. 6 consecutive manufacturers championships plus 4 drivers titles.

And one more thing: "They" should have banned Football as a game,because football had more fatalities than Group B. I wish Group B could return.

@fkgablonz Not the same. Actually the 205T16 has little in common with the "regular" 205. Get a 309GTI it is much better than the 205GTI for racing. Trust me.

thats the slow model lol. the fast one was a group b and had about 550hp and less weight, and big spoilers and mid engined
