the best thing about her voice is that she has complete control over her different registers. she can transition between them and even use them stylistically. she is the epitome of vocal agility. she’s the biggest pop star right now and still manages to be underrated.

You should listen to Jason's song. It's a collab she did with JRB (the pianist/composer in this video) years back that is somewhat jazz influenced. It's not exactly jazz, but it's really good.

I like how they way she sings this song gives off a different emotion from like, the Anna Kendrick one. You could feel the bitterness in the way Anna Kendrick sang this, but Ariana Grande gives off more of mournful sadness.

She's not underrated, she's unappreciated for her vocal ability. We all know she's a great singer, but unfortunately, how many of the people that think they know her voice ACTUALLY know her voice? Not talking about her voice in songs like Problem, where all you could hear was how high she could belt. Songs like THIS, that showcase her vocal strength and agility and resonance. There's also a stigma held against Pop artists these days in which the older generations are quick to label "tasteless" and "not the same as back in the day". Ari's voice is so incredibly versatile and can cater to all genres and emotions. Everyone needs to hear her!

I blame Ariana. She is at the point of her career where her label lets her call the shots(she has said this), so she can CHOOSE to make sweet ballads like this that would really display her vocal abilities, and her fan base is strong enough to where they will push the songs. She CHOOSES not to and to instead make songs that distract from her immense talent.

She has said in the past that she’s down to go back to her broadway roots, but considering her stature in the music industry right now, it must be pretty difficult to transition from international pop star to broadway vocalist but i dont know.

i honestly feel like she is truly unappreciated for her voice. it’s one of the best of our generation and i feel like she doesn’t get recognized enough for how talented she really is. edit: by “unappreciated”, i mean it’s a part of her that tends to be a second thought. like people focus on the drama or the looks and the glitz and glam of it all, and her talent and versatility is kinda a second thought :)

rifqi adhitama because real r&b and not the r&b mixed with trap beats like artist like jacques people in that field(no disrespect) but more so artist like chris browns past albums that showcased his vocals or trey songs past album when he did the same on certain songs, or luke james-i think what they mean is a piece where she doesn’t just have pure pop songs that are normally high paced but instead maybe more songs that showcased her lower registers instead of the higher ones. i personally love when ari uses her lower registers. but r&b is popular to a certain extent, a lot people mainly who live in the pop world and just listen to that music won’t like it for particular reasons . wow that’s long sorry boo

a singer is acting their song, portraying a character, there is viewpoint, telling a story, with the music as the soundtrack. If you speak a message, it is a poem or a monologue. The songwriter[s] write the script. the song, her voice, "believability" is believing the honesty of a character, whether in writing, singing or acting the portrayal of a character. this oozes believability, she owns the material and then the orchestration and love that cello line... IMO this is as good as she's ever done

It’s been more than a year since this performance and I’m so happy she find peace now . She was totally broken inside , we can hear her pain in this song and in ghosting and even if I’m sure that she will never forget Mac and never stoping loving him , She find her love of her life and she’s happy , healthy, in love with someone good for her , she’s not in this pain anymore and in one year it’s really crazy . She has so much potencial in her voice and amazing talent! She sang pop songs and people think that she is just a mainstream pop star without talent and potential! But it isn't true! She has talent she has deep beautiful voice. When she sing theater musical she open up to as. So I want more that from her. I know that she want to sing by herself and make more musical songs too! I know most theatre people are not impressed by this cover just because she sings it more stylized and outside the very narrow idea of the 'broadway vocal technique'. But i think this version actually gives a lot more flavor and richness to the song. She uses different tones to make the song more dynamic but still manage to keep it emotional without having to resort to actually breaking down.

No dancers, no fancy costumes, no screaming fans just a girl and heart. Ari music is amazing and she is a very good singer but hearing her sing this just hits different it feels real, stay true ari. lots of love ❤✊ Edit: plus good job to the people who play the instruments without them the song wouldn't be as amazing as it is so respect to all of you ❤
