Punk is the man. For people my age, who went through all the phases of pro-wrestling, he IS the voice of truth. He's like the internet made flesh, in a good way. He's not the hateful, ignorant internet sites and comments...he's the passionate, clever site. I'm 28, so people my age saw it all. We saw wcw, ecw, wwf turn to wwe, crockett, njpw...all of it. And thanks to the last decade-plus of the internet, he and danielson turned into darlings that made it big. It's as if he's our fan-conscience.
I just love CM Punk a lot more now. He knows a lot about pro wrestling of course but of MMA as well. Was always a Punk fan, from the ROH days. Proud to see him on top of the world right now
I watched wrestling as a kid and loved it, but as the story lines started getting a little wonky I grew out of it and I felt like I gravitated more toward UFC because it was no bullshit but what Chael is doing is just right, its that warm feeling of the wrestling days mixed with serious ass kicking and I love where the sport is going.
a guy that arguebly saved pro wrestling from its wack pg programming a stand up guy just straight shooter type of guy it's good to know some wwe wrestlers show some respect and actually are grateful for what mma has to offer and don't let business get in the way of their opinions
U do realize all moves in the WWE are faked.. hulk hogans leg drop would have any mma fighter laughing his ass off and hogan on the mat knocked out lol.. you cant put the 2 together WWE and pro wrestling in general should not be compared to MMA i enjoy both.. But pro wrestling isnt a fighting sport its an Entertainment Business
Anyone else seen CM Punk's house...it has to be the most epic house ever. It's like 3 stories, got like 30 rooms or something, what you see here is just a snippet of how big his house is.
guy it's 2012. it's okay for people/human beings to enjoy both mma and pro wrestling. and yes there are wrestlers who know their mma and there a load of mma fighters who know their wrestling.
I'm surprised more people on here are NOT talking about the fact that he's sporting a fucking Cro-Mags shirt. Major props to him for supporting good music.
i think Punk could make it in MMA, he would defiantly need time to train and hone his skills and what not but he has a good solid foundation to build on
The WWE title does mean something, but not like titles in other sports do. In wrestling, being a champion means you've paid your dues and the company knows that you have the ability to be the face of that company. A huge honor. You also make a shitload more money.
All sports learned from Pro wrestling, but in the same moment most of the people try to hate on wrestling. Wrestling started the music entrances. Muhammad Ali learned his statements from wrestlers. Arnold trained with a lot of wrestlers an when Goldberg was on top, many Athlets did the Goldberg stuff or the DDP Diamond Cutter sign.
I would love to see CM Punk vs Brock Lesnar since CM Punk has now signed with UFC and see who will actually win in a real fight, Brock Lesnar beat CM Punk at Summerslam in 2013 but that was all stage but this however is the real deal and I think Punk could beat him.
sorry no sound to watch the video does cm punk have any background in any type of real martial art/wrestling? wasnt brock like a D1 wrestler before he did WWE shit? what are cm punks credentials i cant find anything on wiki
brock didnt retire due to his long term injury. he retired cos of the overeem fight. brock said himself "i was in the best shape of my life and ready to take on anyone! then when i go my ass kicked like that i started to doubt whether this really is for me!" no injury just the realisation that being a great athlete and being a great fighter are not the same thing!
Summerslam? That's in July...a bit far away. There're many PPV's before that,I think they'll team up at some point against Triple H and The Rock or John Cena (whoever wins WM). They may have individual and tag team matches...the Ultimate heels against one of the bosses and the faces of the company.
I always knew Kurt Angle was the toughest guy in the wwe.. Kurt also mentioned he sparred with Brock but he wouldn't tell who won.. I suspect he did.. Man I would love to see Kurt Angle fighting in the UFC and kicking their asses
not to mention the stunts they pull off in the ring are highly dangerous and very painful. Pro wrestlers truly risk their bodies and minds to entertain fans. it should be highly respected
@POLChelseaFC he didn't say Munoz was a better fighter then Bisping he said he was a bigger challenge for Chael then Bisping because Munoz beat Chael in a wrestling competition
