My interpretation is that Pink my not really care about Trump as such, but more the reaction he gets from people for saying he's a Trump supporter. To any sane person the reaction to having that position, from people who are supposedly liberal and paragons of virtue and kindness, is a character study in partisanship and the control the media has over the some people. You can like how disruptive Trump is to a decaying and corrupt system without also thinking he actually has the ability to save the US. Then again I could just be overthinking it 😂

Ive been an Ariel Pink fan for years and while you wouldn’t necessarily catch me at a Trump rally, i did vote for him in 2020. No regrets. Obviously J6 turned ugly and fast fwd to today, i wish Trump wasn’t running again cuz i feel his time has passed. People in general need to drop the identity politics and the cancel culture bs, its ruining everything. If you like Ariel’s music but disagree with his views, great, then learn to separate the art from the artist.
