Ebike is the greatest invention in years. You can modify and upgrade and use them as main transport method even living 20 miles from town . Extra battery packs . And trailers . If #hit hits the fan . Solar charge your ebike . I do . I have driven 45 Mile round trip into nearest auto parts store to get jeep crank position sensor. I consider my ebike like a horse or mule

Thanks, yes they are great for many uses and hauling dogs or groceries and making supply runs is a whole lot easier on an ebike and no gas needed.

Just curious … Was the 30 mph achieved with full power only or pedal assist mode?

I was in PAS 3 and it stayed close to 30mph. I only use throttle to get going and then I ride in PAS. Even went up a steep hill doing 27mph towing that trailer.

Quick question, I have an Ariel Kepler with larger tires. I just bought the xl DoggyHut, but idk the diameter of the Kepler rear wheel bolt size. I can't find the info anywhere. If it is 12mm, can you recommend a hitch adapter. The size of the XL is perfect for my 95 lb euro boxer. I was also hoping to put a seat post hitch on it instead of axle mount if it is possible. The 35.5" interior platform, with 100lb limit was better than flat deck Weize (?) and others, steel frame, so a future diy design for other purposes is possible.

It won't fit the axle bolt. I used a bolt from the rear pegs on my ebike for the mount. You may have a fender bolt that will work.

Hello! Your X-class setup with trailer looks perfect - I have a Burley Bee trailer on the way for my Xclass and was wondering how you attached the hitch to the X-class. It looks like the Burley wants me to connect to the rear axle using a hitch adapter, but yours looks attached to the frame, which seems like a better idea. Was there an adapter you used to get the frame mount? Thank you, and have fun out there!

I used one of the bolt holes from the foot peg since I never have passengers. It is a little close to the back tire but doesn't effect the ride.

@@solarcabin That’s genius - the burley hitch is a 12mm hole and the Xclass axle is almost 14mm, so I was afraid I’d have to bore it out which might weaken it. With the peg frame mount, I can use a proper bolt and away we go! Thank you for the reply!
