I affectionately call them featherbirds. My first base was on Weathertop, and one day a Therizino came by and murdered my poor Iguanodon. I ended up taming one in a moment of opportunity (it got stuck on some rocks), but I woefully underestimated how many narcotics I would need. It was probably a level 20-something, and little lowbie me was sitting there with my very first narcotics and a stack of mejos. I ended up running around franctically gathering narcoberries to feed her before she woke up. 😆
When I first got my bolas I found one and tried it... I died in a second... Edit: this was my most liked comment and finally got one notification for a comment...
I love these guys so much, they are the cutest! When I see them in the wild, I can't help myself, I tame them, regardless of the level, it has become a bit of an obsession :D
Energy123 first time I saw this I was like oh they don’t attack because I read about them in a book that said they were herbivores and their claws were for getting berries and stuff but then it charged me. I survived. He is dead. I took his claws and now their in a box
I died by these so much with my mom, yet they are the CUTEST things in ark. Yes they may have killed our army of dilos and trikes, but we tamed one today and I saw the level up emote that they do and that hit me with the obsession. We called him Luck Duck btw :3
I see you're starting to solo Atlas. This may help noobs trying to get keratin/chitin in Ark. I just figured this out in my solo play on console. Since invertebrates aren't breedable in Ark and beaver dams are sometimes hard to find. Get a pair of turtles to farm keratin. Delicate harvesting with a therizino is the choice between the harvesting options. Hope it helps those trying to find a sustainable way to get cementing paste.
Tamed level 85 Therizinosaur, took me 3 hours and painful amount of narcotics and darts to get it tamed, still the best decision I have ever made in game
I call the Therizinos “Big Angry Chickens” I always name them “Mr./Mrs. Cuddles” Edit 1 Year Later: I call my BEST Therizinos Mr./Mrs. Cuddles, others are Tickle Chickens and other funny chicken related names.
When I started Ark in Dec 2018, my Tribe and I found one of these Theri's in the woods. We were all excited, whoot.... " let's tame it " . Little did we know how extremely tough these things were. They took it down after a bit of playing cat and mouse :O) So proud of the Tribe, then came the long wait. We did NOT know anything about this Theri, or how long it would take to tame it. The lvl 10 took 3 hrs to tame with berries and 500 narcotics :OP Such noobs then lol :O) Now I just raise them,,, much much easier . We call them " Tickle Chickens " too
@@atomic5989 taming multiplier makes your taming faster and easier, you can find this multiplier and others in the settings before you start your world
I set on a rock that it almost walked up I was wearing leather with a pair of chitin boots that dropped I was level 31 at the time but 7 tranq arrows from my crossbow and 250 narcotics later and I had a therizino
U really only need to spam hundreds of narcos to it and then wait for about 2 hours, my dinos got attacked and they were guarding my knocked rizino but they managed to hit it so the taiming effectivness went down to 50% so the level ups suffered a bit
I was once just gathering wood with a few tames, and it walked up to me and killed all of my dinos. I hate that they get pissed that you were in their way. I despise these crestures.
These are one of my favourite dinos! I really like the look of them and how USEFUL they can be many people complain from dying from these ( which has happend to me) but they only get arrogated if you stand too close to them
Useful tip, harvesting an ovis with a max power harvesting Theriz will give you a TONNE of mutton, C attack will also grab you some berries ^^ 110% my favourite Dino, love these guys xD
C grabs berries, THAT was the button I was looking for! But I still don't know whether Power Harvest or Delicate cause I need berries, Keratin, organic poly, hide, chitin, wood so much MORE than meat or fiber.
I kill the therizino by trapping it outside of my house that is surrounded by spikes and a dinosaur gate and I keep my tames inside the pen so when the theri attacks me the tames all attack it and it kills it in like 5 secconds
hi phlinger! trick: make a custom-recipe-brew out of 50+ rare shrooms. fed to flyers while in air will restore stamina over time (until it reaches max.). so you can partially bypass the awful quetznerf. additionally feed some 100+stims in air for an extra staminaboost. it stacks. thx for the gr8 videos!
Fancy updating your whole A-Z of Ark to include the new kibble system. You make it sound so easy to get hold of specific egg for specific kibble, but that is no longer the case.
Okay so, I just learned something and I hope it helps somebody out. You don't have to have a theri to get rare flowers, trikes gather them too. I've been under the assumption that theris were the only things that could gather them from the bushes usually in the swamps and I'm sure I'm not alone in that, so I hope this helps somebody out
im lvl 28 i tame the therizinosorus my item is bow and 13 arrow and slingshot the hee nkockout i ride my trike and get some nacroberry it only take two days on the game its super easy get some 500 nacroberry😐😐😐😐😐 my mind:ITS HARD HARD HARD
I am the luckiest girl in the world, I was one more hit from being killed and it started to run, I was knocked off my cliff, it was not a good experience but I got it and named it the tickle monster 😎
I somehow tamed one with a crossbow. I knocked it out with tranq arrows, and fed it berries. Using high ground areas helped and I would shoot it with the crossbow if it still had tons of health to save narcotics, which somehow worked.
these guys are beasts - i caught a t rex in my taming raft - and went to get a theri - he destroyed my raft - a raft build that i have never worried about except with the super whale thingy
Curiosity: I wonder if these are actually the best gatherers compared to a mantis with good tools and high melee damage. Both of them are going to get encumbered quickly so you will have to transfer a lot of goods to other dinos that DO have weight reduction. I know that the mantis I was using before was beastly. With a 250% dmg sword I looted it was hitting for nearly 450 damage. Equipped with basic primitive metal pick/hatchet/sickle it was getting a ridiculous amount of resources, often enough that I had to transfer after taking down one tree or maybe two river rocks. I would imagine the best way to do it would have a beaver following to carry all the wood, an Anky to carry the stone, and an Equus/Argy to carry the metal and other goods. Cumbersome to do all that swapping, but you could pull in a ridiculous amount of resources in a very short time that way, even solo. I do like that the Therizinosaurus can choose without having to go into inventory by using the different attacks, and is probably tankier than the mantis (I haven't compared numbers) but I'm positive the mantis can very easily out-dps the Therizino by a LARGE margin when equipped with really good melee weapons.
I was riding a parasaur being followed by like 10 tamed dilo as fighters with various levels trying to find a raptor and came across this so I set up like 1 big bear trap and 6 small ones thinking it would work but didn’t and also thinking he will go down in a couple of tranq arrows and get stuck for hours but then it broke free within seconds then started to ran away thinking it was high on torpo and then it turned around charging at me then I tried to run away on the parasaur but it died in the process so did like 7 dilos but it finally went down feeding it berries but screwed up and accidentally stepped on my small bear trap where it went down. I thought I was screwed because I had no narcos on me, about to dehydrate, and low on meat to eat but luckily I survived the encounter and have the best Dino I have so far as a noob player
I tamed a therizino by putting my argy to attack it and i tanq it taming it just took a few minutes with berries and soothing balm edited: without a trap
These things are one of, if not the worst to fight and tame. The first time I tamed one of these with a friend we didn't have kibble and it took 6 hours real time.
these guys are amazing but if you ask me I would go with a lucky moschops tame ... levels below 50 will tame with a single berry if you get them to ask for something like that, the higher level moschops will be tamed easy enough too if you have a low level one to begin with ... not to mention they get HUGE weight bonuses for prime meat and whatnot ... oh and they farm fiber same time with the berries :D... Oh ... and you can ride the moschops without a saddle ! best dino all around for farming imho ... this is nice for farming wood probably ? but castorides does a better job at that :D
My theri killed an alpha raptor by himself. This normal?? Edward was attacked by an alpha raptor while I was looting a supply drop and he fuckin choke slammed the glowing bastard and survived on 100hp. He died to a bronto with 3k hp before so i thought the raptor with 5k hp would murder him.
Me whos on a rock, got 3 dilophosaurs, 20 tranq arows, hide equipment tryna find a vid to see if I can take him with my 20 arrows only to find out he’s big scary thing😃 (edit:hands not big)
Tip for all of you: use berries or the jellyfish stuff. You want duration of gain, not raw amount. Two stacks of narco berries can keep these guys out for an eternity.
boy you best believe i sat there and babied my therizino for an hour and seven minutes because it wanted narcotics every five minutes. their torpor is no joke, but i am way too stubborn to make kibble lmao. mejos all the way.
Kibble is so hard to get. My dodos only laid one egg in 4 weeks which hatched.the baby died 30 seconds later. Got a trike egg, put it in the pot with the other ingredients. Lit it.egg disappears. Nothing else happens
These guys killed my favorite tame along time ago whwn i was a noob now they killed my 3 useful tames (diploducus)-(used to carry metal) and (high level carbonemys) used for shield when taming big carnivores) (woolly rhino) good for wood) now imma get revenge with spinosaurus
My buddy and I have a running joke about these. When we were complete Bobs at Ark, we thought they eat meat, because sharp teeth and is aggressive. Our faces when we found out they were HERBIVORES!! 😮😮😮
Ah yes, tickle chicken They big They scary They tickle... And it ain't funny kinda tickle, nononono, it gonna take two hits and they'll shred you on full flak even riot armor
I hate these guys. I had a female horse that was named Mara from Skyrim and while I was riding it, all of a sudden this thing came out of the bushes and trees and starting killing my horse. Can’t wait to find out how to kill it
There must have been some changes in a patch since this video came out, because nowadays delicate harvest DOES work on trees to get mass amounts of Thatch.
Uh so im level 27 decided to move into the weathertop There is a theri blocking my way back to my base im on my raptor I dont want to die so what should I do?
i was killed once then trapped it the door frame way and I tamed them and I have a level 62 raptor and level 60 something trike and a level 14 stego and we killed 3 rexs and 1 spino
I actually talked one using an Iguanodon with a crossbow, run up in 1st person with crossbow, fire a shot, sprint around, go back to first person, rinse and repeat
