Ark Basics: Baryonyx UPDATED - Everything you need to know! 

The baryonyx saddle unlock at Lvl 49 and cryopods unlock at 51. They are not that far apart. However, I do agree that the baryonyx is, by far, the best caving dino.

One of the most insane parts about them is the fact those guys can stun alpha megalodon. It's a bit long to actually kill them, but they are a great source of xp. If you tame a good Bary you are kind of a king of ocean. Just don't go too deep. I still remember my Boris, the guy is amazing.

They are also amphibious. They can breathe under water and have no oxygen stat. They replenish stamina in water. And their spin attack will heal them when they kill fish.

These guys are extra awesome on the island since the island is broken up with tons of water between Landmasses, it makes getting around swamp biomes so much easier, other than flyers this is the next best thing on the island.

Baryonyx are one of the most versatile mounts, and they're a good looking dino in my opinion.

I think its an unspoken rule that you have to name your baryonyx with a name that starts with b

they can regen health pretty fast from their special attack on fish.. i think even from just attacking normally but their special attack on a cluster of fish works really well...

Been enjoying my own baryonyx, I agree with your assessment cause I love her.

U can also a Stegosaurus and use his/her red ability the Berryonyx and the Kaprosuchus will not be able to kick you off it's effective I used it :).

Packs of Baryonyx verse Cnidaria work well. You just need to whistle the pack to engage the Cnidaria away from yourself.

Me and my friend just tamed a baryonyx we are both level 21 and it took us 2 hours when we found out that we needed to be level 49 to get the saddle we just ended up grinding levels

Oh, the irony :)) You've built a trap for a Carnotaurus, and found a Baryonyx I've built the trap for a Baryonyx, of wood, thought to put a couple of thatch roofs at the top of the ramp, when I Carnotaurus attacked, from a side, and just stopped and tried to bite. Knocked her up and tamed in a bit (it was lvl2) - By your advice, got an Ychty - got a prime meat chunk from a dodo - over 60% immediately. Finished up taming the Baryonyx, too - too bad it got quite far away, on the other side of the quite narrow sea (around south-east istles, near your favourite) Was flying with my MarineOne - a pelagornis, when I see a raptor goes in the water to attack the Baryonyx (it was lvl 2, too), circled above them, a bit too low, because I got knocked off the sadle and the Bary started attacking my flyer (it survived, has 500+ hp) while the raptor concentrated on me... managed to headshot the raptor and ran to put to sleep the Bary - barely managed to save my flyer - damn Bary dropped 10 feet under water... Thank to your advice and the Ychty - I collected and cooked about 17 prime fish chunks just to be prepared - this managed to save the Bary not to duy and tamed her fast. For me - it was breathtaking, I'm at lvl 70, in the cloth armor, as I mainly fool around building my big raft using a smaller one around it - the lvl is mostly because of wood chopping :))

Why repair armor? By the time you can do caving, you must have a pair of spare set of clothing, and somebody can carry it for you

hey ou can use a pelagornis to do this it’s a lot easier to fly and by on water

Not saying it isnt good but id say my fav is the thyla, the thyla is so awsome

I always see people use traps and it’s just weird to me, like am I the only one that uses tranq darts and just normal food to feed it

i need help boss! i made a breeding pen and turned all dinos (one male, one female) to wander and mate but none of my eggs are fertile, what am i doing wrong? i need some babies!!

I dunno man, i am trying to beat all bosses on one character, i started on aberration, just moved to the island, took one ravager with me, and i just feel like the ravager is better. although, i get it, base game dinos, the barry is the best choice. all personal opinion though

I use a raptor, crossbow, and when it torpor runs I chase it on foot.

Its Doesn't Make scenes thats Shadowmane, Wolf , reaper , or other Dino who don't have a saddle ..... I think Every Dino should have a Saddle tbh Yeah Like Equus etc

One nerf is that we can't immobilize baryonyx with a bola now, like we once could. I found that out the hard way about a year ago.

I hate baryonyx so much. I’ve only been playing for like 4 days barely got to level 35 and been taking some Dino I had 6 total. This baryonyx has been spawn killing me since day one mind you im still on south island 1 spawn. but amyways im just making some spark powder and the baryonyx comes and kills 5 of my 6 dinos. im going to delete my server

I just dont know why when i bread 2 level 70 barys i always get only a level 15-21 out of the egg. Does anybody know why?

I havent seen prime fish meat on sharks since the shark tlc. Also these updates are great but i have watched a few now and i am not sure whats different from the old mounts. So, os this just a great redo or was something updated.
