I have found that you can stand in between the crystal wyvern's shoulders and feed it. Even if it flys vertically, you won't fall off

Great video, thank you. I play in single player with taming speed set to 20. On a lark I tried using regular crystals on a level 140 and it worked fine. It took 5 feedings to tame and was still at 99.x% efficiency on the last feeding. Now I have a nice airforce going.

If you put meat in the Wyvern's inventory and then put the Primal Crystal, it won't eat the crystal. It prioritizes the meat, so you can keep the spoil timer high, until your ready to tame again.

Take sleeping bags and parachutes because you will get knocked off there's an element of luck to taming wyverns riding their back because you will be after max lvl 150 tames and it takes awhile for that tame bar to fill up so my advice get some wyverns tamed up using that method then start trapping them save yourself the trouble that way you can farm primal crystal as well and get better tames

I like how the guy at 9:17 is all, "Okay, I'm ready to be trapped now!"

just wait for X2 taming which is almost every weekend get crystal jump on the wyverns back you want tame lay down on its back and feed away very very easy to tame

If there is raw mear or crystal on wyvern first inventory slot, it will eat that rather than primal crystal

Can anyone give me any tips for my ark as I cant fine any wyverns on crystal isles and on ragnerock I find wyverns but the nests dont spawn does anyone have a tip for me (I'm on xbox one )

If you do the jumping on it's back method with a grapple hook then you don't get knocked off

If you want to store your primal crystals in your already tamed wyvern for more taming, could you put regular crystal in it's inventory and would it eat that instead? (Like when you wanna save your prime meat, you put it in your dino with regular meat)

4 behemoth gates the first with doors, the other end open to stone pillar's with ceilings on top. Just kite it. Also its alot harder on official, level 25 only 2 or 3 crystals.

Tamed a tropical with reg crystals, I like my tames low lvl so I can choose the points when leveling them up. Had a lvl 20 now shes lvl 83 and kicks butt! Great vids, great ideas for taming thx 😎👍

The amber wyvern have a rage mod that you didnt say when you do the fire attack alot he will rage and the fire will have some blue in it and get stronger (sorry 4 the bad E)

What level for this is recommended?

I'm guessing they've changed some of this because I recently discovered this map and was able to tame a high level one with normal crystal, it took a while of me laying on it's back riding it around the area but it worked and I ended up with a lvl 203 after the tame. However, using your trap would have made it easier.

So you can only get the primal crystal from the wyverin?

They will have more if you knock it out collect them then leave him/her alone for along time the more crystal.

I you can tame them with normal crystals too I tamed a tropical one with normal crystals

How did your Ptera not get damaged when the wyvern was chasing you!? Cause if I attack a lvl 20 I won’t make it till my trap before my ptera dies

If you are on small tribes you just need normal crystals, I tamed a 140 with normal crystals.

Sleep a wild one, take crystal, put on parachute and jump on wyvern back

When I jump on its back it starts to die and won’t let me feed it the crystals

Awesome video just don't bother with the 8x8. It's way too much work and if you want a reusable trap there are much mich cheaper and easier designs on youtube

Last night I tamed a lvl 300 wyvern on just regular crystals, it does work but the taming efficiency drops to 90%

you dont get 40 primal crystals from a 140 on official i get about 17/18

If you really wanna do the trap with minimal resources you could have just lined up 3 behemoth gates with two doors but 💁🏻‍♂️

"Crystal Isles How to Passive Tame Wyverns" Easy. It's called the immersive taming mod. Much more realistic than the current Stockholm Syndrome method of taming most things.

Not gonna lie I dont like the lies in these videos, you dont need primal, you dont need honey, it's not hard to find these. Just simply get a pick transfer to the server get some crystal (it's not hard at all to find some, its everywhere). Then you hop on its wing then move to its shoulders with the crystal in your last slot and then you can sit back and relax

I don't see why every video on taming these always say "don't use regular crystal's! Pff. I used to tame horses all the time and you gotta worry about carrots despawning. Taming a crystal wyvern with regular crystal's on 2x is so easy. Takes about 30mins and boom. You got a badboy wyvern

How that's passive

Don't take a bunch of crystal, take a bunch of raw meat.

you never go full pve

That's to much work just jump on there back and lay down and ride them as you feed them

All this effort for 4 extra levels compared to jumping its back with ref crystals

This girl clearly has no idea how to build a trap.... do the same thing you would do with an argentavis trap Place a Dino gate Add stone pillars with a 1 pillar gap on each side of the gate Then work your way back adding six stone pillars with a 1 pillar gap in between, and go 4 pillars high, Do this on both sides and add 4 pillars to back to complete your box Add your ceilings. Then add your door. Bam done. Agro your argy in the box, run through a pillar, close the gate and he's traped. No need for the useless foundations, or bear traps. the concept is the same for the wyverns do the same thing except add a behemoth gate and go roughly 8 to 12 pillars high depending on your resources. She made this trap WAY too complicated like...overly complicated, wasted alot of time, wasted alot of resources, the bear traps are completely useless, the foundations are completely useless, not to mention the sheer amount of time it took to build.

Passive wyvern taming is rubbish. I prefer egg version
