Me again.. One last question, I have the server up running and its great, thanks for the video and the help, I have also seen your configuration guide which is very helpful. The question is to do with security and admin privileges. Using the basic set up like this is a admin log in in the console which would allow someone to change settings?
The discord link in the comments and in the description are both invalid. I'm having issues of the game crashing after farming for like 30 seconds. I know its not my hardware I have a i-9 13900k 4090 and 64 gb ram wondering what I must be doing wrong with the set up for it to keep crashing like this.
So, I assisted one of my friends in getting this setup on a server they just setup in their house. The ports are all forwarded correctly. I myself can see the server in the browser within the game, however, my friend cannot see his own server, that is connected onto his own network. Something isn't adding up here. Any ideas?
Hi, i downloaded gsm. I finished getting the server running. Still need to do mods but i closed the program out and now i cant find the windowsgsm on my computer. How do i get it back up?
You will need to search your files, Unfortunately there is no default install location, so there is no way for me to know where you installed the program. for further help please join the discord.
Everything is setup like you said to do. I have ran multiple servers on my pc with no problem so I know it is port forwarded properly, but the server won't even show up in my Lan list on the steam servers list. Also won't show up in the game when I search for the server name. Could I get some help with this please and thank you.
Having the same problem as you. I have ASE servers on the same PC I'm trying to host my ASA server from, so I'm familiar with getting ports properly forwarded. But when I try to find the ASA server, nothing shows up. Did you figure out what was causing your issue?
did you ever figure this out? discord invite is invalid, ports are forwarded and my ISP doesn't block them, I tried making the server on my own no matter what could not even join even as the host or search it up on server list, tried this windowsGSM stuff and still doesn't work
It is my understanding, that events are now loaded as mods, so private servers can run them at anytime, so you would just add it as a mod, if you need help with that see the server configuration webpage or join the discord
@@survivalgamingclub ok so i have mods up and running and i have 2 servers, one is the island and the other is svartalfheim, i am trying to link them in a cluster and i have the cluster ID set but for the life of me i cannot get the transfer server option to pop up, any ideas?
a server is a server, I have not tried crossplay, but there is no reason for it to not work. Note: currently windows 10 is removed from crossplay until they can fix cheating.
