I'm a Californian who lived in Fayetteville for 4 years doing a PhD, and I loved every minute of my stay in Fayetteville, AR. Great place to live. Kentucky does not hold a candle to NW AR. Go Hogs! Go LA Rams! Let's rebuild Razorback football too!
Both states have some beautiful scenery, like NW Arkansas. Both states have some dang depressing scenery. But Arkansas is for an unfair reason thought of as the whole state looking like the Mississippi delta. In fact, I love a lot of the scenery in Mississippi but just like Arkansas, you have to move away from the Delta to understand that. People would not believe the mountain scenery in the whole Western half of the state. I've seen just unreal scenery around little places too like Jasper, Arkansas. They call it the Grand Canyon of the state. The difference? Mention Kentucky and people think horse country, not the dirt poor regions. Mention Arkansas and they instantly think of a Helena..or West Memphis or the likes. Mississippi River delta becoming de-populated, no jobs because it's agriculture and machines just don't require manual labor anymore. Same in Mississippi. Drive through Yahzoo City and you'll just want to cry for those people. But go North, West or South and see some pretty country.
I agree I lived in Fayetteville for three years and I always called it God’s Country it is beautiful out there in Northwest Arkansas!! And Dickson St was amazing!!!
As a (transfer fan) don’t worry bout uk they’re very deep on social media and super active in all news Arkansas is pretty calm and grateful from the looks of it keep posting you one of the best outlets currently !
These Kentucky fans are a walking contradiction. On one hand, they say, "Good riddance! He could recruit, but he couldn't win titles!" They will say, "I don't care if he is gone, It's about time he left!" On the other hand, they spend time on Arkansas youtube and FB pages and BASH Cal to no end. If you really think the guy can't coach, then why do you care? You should be celebrating his exit to a conference rival. But here is the truth...He may never win a title at Arkansas. BUT... He may win a few. Only 3 teams in the SEC have won a chip...Arkansas, Florida, and Kentucky. If Calipari had gone to Vandy or Mississippi State, UK fans would be laughing at him. But he went to a school that has pulled Todd Day, Lee Mayberry, Oliver Miller, Scotty Thurman, Corlis Williamson, Joe Johnson, Sydney Moncrief and a ton of other great players. Arkansas and Florida have always tap danced kinda close to blue blood status, but both needed more chips for that conversation. Simply put Cal can put together teams that are (at a minimum) highly capable...This scares UK fans. Their long lived status as the only SEC blue blood is being challenged, and they don't like it. AND...They are acting like jilted lovers. Kinda like how we acted when Muss left.
Kids like what they like. They think Cal is responsible for all these pros. Good anecdotal evidence, whether he's the cause or not. NCAA has upsets. Basically, the reason why it's popular, the bracket being the biggest reason people get into it. Arkansas was doing pretty good under Musselman. But, they are getting best of class talent now with Cal. Law of averages, Final Fours and national championships. And there will be years when there are upsets. Sounds what a fan base should enjoy, watching NBA talent and having a chance to excel in the tournament.

Just because he failed at Kentucky doesn't mean he will fail here. it doesn't mean he won't either.. he spent 15 years there let it go.Hes the coach but the game is still played on the court just saying .we've beat Kentucky several times in the past y'all aren't invincible Go Hogs!!!
