Toyota has come a long way as far as saftey in their vehichles. That lexus is one example of their safety done right cars. Now if only they made all their cars like that.
There are multiple trooper Byrds and all are amazing. This was James Byrd. Great job. Jacob Byrd is the iconic PIT Viper - That man is pure talent. Thank you all Arkansas Troopers for your superior abilities and service ❤️🇺🇸💙
It was a bit too dangerous. He's lucky he veered off into an exit and only ran into a plastic traffic drum rather than a big ditch to send him airborne, a metal safety railing wrecking his cruiser, or something else dangerous.
How would that cop feel if the driver kidnapped the child’s child and the child died in the roll over. This cop is beyond reckless. He is a psychopathic and need to go to Prison or a mental hospital for the rest of his life.
@@MrJimmy-fl2bn That driver was the reckless one. He could have killed anybody or their children driving around like that. He had to be taken off the road. Put the blame where it belongs- on the criminal. Wtf is wrong with you?
It's just so bizarre. I've been pulled over for speeding and the only things going through my head are, "Oh, man. I don't want points on my license. What's going to happen to my insurance rates? Uggh." This dude takes cops on a 114mph chase that ends in a rollover and all he says is "Where's my phone?" The level of disconnect from reality is incomprehensible to me.
The reason you fear so much is you way too much to lose. You have a savings account, money, assets, insurance, a job, etc. Someone like this doesn't have anything so there really are no consequences outside of some jail time.
That’s what I was thinking! Let’s count how many times this fukkeroo says “Lemme get my phone” and “I just wanna get my phone”. Why so he can go live on social media and tell everybody how råcīst the cops are?! Nah… whine about it to your cell mates. 🫷🙄
@@sha-naynay18 You from Arkansas too? They have plenty of time and space to move over and do not. Every one of those drivers should be cited using the police recording with their license plates on full display.
@@sha-naynay18 It's called having situational awareness ffs. If you didn't see them coming then you aren't checking your mirrors often enough. How these people get a license is beyond me. All of the idiots that didn't pull over had plenty of time to do so if they were actually aware of their surroundings. Driving standards are at an all time low. It's scary sharing the road with these braindead people.
Well, I was guilty of that many years ago in France. I was standing waiting for a stop light, and I heard a siren. I wondered "where the hell comes that siren from?". I looked left, right, ahead, shrugged my shoulders in disbelief and checked my dashboard. Still a siren, checked again around me, nothing to see. Only after thirty seconds I watched my mirror and saw a fire truck right behind me. I must have delayed him for at least 30 seconds. Sorry!
@@ronaldderooij1774 You should be. The fire truck should have pushed you out of the way then made you pay for any damage. Pull your head out. You shouldn't be on the road.
We could seriously crack down on crime if the rest of the country had supervisors and administrators like the ASP have. They let their troopers take care of business.
Why… do all these criminals who are going to jail for CLEARLY committing a crime, run on and on and on about their phones? You wrecked out and coulda killed people but all they care about is the phone. WHY? It makes me angry just to hear it.
These officers are so nice. I like the way the perp keeps asking for his phone. The answer should be "Where you're going, you can't have your phone, but we got one there that you can make ONE call from".
Ggeeeze!!!! The wherewithal to make the pit…..miss the weigh station sign and dive off on to the exit at 114 mph is the most amazing piece of driving if ever seen!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
That officer that had him in cuffs has got to be the nicest dude, he was calm, polite and seemed like he was sincerely worried about the dude that put every driver and officers life on the line that day. That felon is one lucky dude!
That's because once he's in custody he's responsible to any further injuries or lack of care. He really didn't care whether the dude died or not. And if it would've killed a family in the other direction he would've blamed the perp. Which it would've been to an extent but being plowed into by a cop sure should spread the blame.
He played A LOT of cops and robbers when he was little. So he has grown up being a cop. It's second nature. Or should I say cops and flea-rs. Not sure that's a word.🤔 And well he from Arkansas. And loves his job. I haven't watched the full video but I bet the guy ran because....he didn't have a license. 🙄 I will put people's lives in danger because I don't have a license. I need my phone so I can call my momma to tell her I reckedup her ka. Guess they won't change his pants when he gets to jail. He's already in orange. Oh and can you get my phone charger while your at it. 🤦🏼♂️
@@nealramsey4439 WOW so now the cops are responsible for someone running. Active shooter killed by cop. "They could have just shot him in the leg!!". And during the time they are trying to shoot in the leg the active shooter hits 5 more people. The median wires are there for a reason. They keep vehs from making to the on coming traffic. That's what they were designed for. That's why they are continued to be used. That's why they are there on almost if not all Arkansas major highways. I guess the van load of kids on a field trip that the flearrr ran into the side of a semi was ok. When they get the van out from under the semi trailer we will see if everyone is ok. ...... didn't happen but those are the reasons the chase was put a stop to by ASP. Don't run from ASP....it NEVER ends well. I'm hearing they have a Track Hawk running around LR to take care of the ones that think they can evade. Unmarked.
@@DanielAtkinsFirewood Well, maybe in terms of driving the car. But the way he immediately popped up out of the sunroof had me thinking he was about to run 😂
I’m pretty sure that in the beginning he said that it was a Lexus but the plates came back to a mustang. So I’m gonna take a wild guess that car is stolen. I can’t believe he popped out of the sunroof like that. Of course the doors were probably crushed.
@@gungadinn Who would want to??? (Especially since the guy probably failed "the clean underwear check" during the rollover... is that why he wants his mama? to change it like she did when he was a baby?)
Arkansas State Police are the best at stopping pursuits and they do it so much that they don't even get an adrenalin rush. 😂 Dude really wants his phone, must have been recording the whole thing for his social media group.
This is a high speed to be performing a pit maneuver, however the Officer made the right decision to get the suspect stopped before they endangered any more lives in this particular case. This was great use of the land, dropping the suspect's vehicle safely into the delve of the land, but you can see that it's crazy at that speed and the Officer's trajectory was thrown off a bit, catching a construction marker in the windshield. So, one brave Officer's life, saves many lives, good work.
@@DeclareRestore Sadly, yes. All this guy cared about was retrieving his phone from the car. He knows he'll be back on the street soon in another stolen car.
@@jessebaldwin2661 exactly, he'll be behind the wheel of a stolen Dodge Charger with fake plates, and a blacked out window doing this same shit again...
I watched one where they followed him through a cemetery!! A slow speed chase with six cop cars behind him and they followed him through the freaking cemetery. Did they think he was going to endanger one of the gravestones? Why the hell didn’t they stop him there? But nope - he went on to start a high speed chase and endanger danger a lot of living people🤦🏼♀️
always confuses me how people dont see a police car with lights and sirens on right behind them on the highway EDIT MOTHER I IS FAMOS 😱😱😱 40000 LIKIES 💋💋💋💋🎂🎂
Driving while oblivious is a real thing. I'm retired LE and it happens all the time. Was at an accident with 4-5 squads, 3 fire trucks, and 2 ambulances. All with their emergency lights on, and a driver went through the entire scene. People were diving over guard rails etc and the driver didn't see anything until he was in the middle of it.
Man, this departments policy is awesome. I watched an LAPD chase go on for over an hour and not once was a pit attempted. No peds, no other vehicles around, just followed until they bailed out. Not here in AR lmao.
I know! That LAPD will follow someone for hours sometimes! Hundreds of times they could PIT but no just keep following at 20 MPH ! I don’t get their policies in California! They don’t want to hurt the criminals’ feelings?? Then when the guy finally stops he won’t get out of the car! So they wait for more hours! Just drag him out already!! Crazy isn’t it?
That’s pretty impressive. The CHP would never Pit a car going that fast here in California. My mother-in-law is from Arkansas, she made me an honorary Southerner, I considered it a great honor.
I don't know what a Byrd is, but the driving up until the 6 minute mark of the video is, hands down. the most proficient fundamental driving I've ever seen on a chase video. This should be THE training video industry wide. There wasn't a single millisecond where that car wasn't in perfect control which even includes a correction for debris. Reducing speed differential in traffic, the racing lines, all of it. Just driving perfection. Now I'll watch the rest of the video since I guess there's a high speed pit too. Ok, I have to edit this post to bolster my point. At 1:07 the offender takes off, and at 1:19 the trooper has to apply his brakes because he already caught up. 12 seconds, lol
He has risked the lives of hundreds and all he can say is get my phone. Should be no sympathy for this guy! The hell with his phone and put him in jail/prison for years. Sick SOB!
Three Byrds at ASP and they should all have the signature "3" painted on their cars since they have no problem using their bumpers just like the Intimidator
Or like in WWII where planes would put the number of Nazis or Imperial Jap planes shot down, we should put on our troopers cars a logo of the usual perps photos on their front fender.
that was James "Jimmy" Byrd. he took out an orange barrel too on the folliw through. guy and his phone - was shrinkage in the linkage or something seriously impt on it, like his mommy's speed dial.
