Trooper's Narrative: (both dogs were ok) The suspect vehicle passed me at approximately 114 M.P.H. in front of Walmart and I observed him fail to stop for the red light to the entrance to Walmart. He accelerated as I began to pursue him. We exited from the city limits of Wynne and proceeded eastbound on U.S. 64. As we neared Hunters Rest, the suspect vehicle began following traffic very closely and passing in a no passing zones. As a result, V-1 almost struck a semi and another vehicle before merging back into traffic. After passing JB’s Steakhouse, a Cross County Deputy was in front of the suspect vehicle to conduct a rolling roadblock. The suspect vehicle veered into oncoming traffic almost striking another vehicle head on. The suspect vehicle traveled around the deputy and proceeded eastbound on U.S. 64. Speeds increased to as we neared the Bay Bridge on U.S. 64. After crossing the Bay Bridge, the suspect vehicle accelerated again and drove into the on-coming lanes of traffic, continuing to flee eastbound on U.S. 64. The suspect continued fleeing at triple-digit speeds as we neared the curve at Rainbow Farms. The suspect vehicle used the on-coming lanes of traffic and ran head on with another vehicle. The suspect vehicle veered into the eastbound lane at the last minute to avoid striking the on-coming vehicle head on. He almost lost control of his vehicle in the curve after passing Rainbow Farms. The suspect vehicle continued fleeing eastbound, pushing his car in a reckless manner. Several vehicles were located at the intersection of U.S. 64 and State Highway 75 north that observed the pursuit closing on their location and promptly moved to the shoulder of the roadway. We entered the city limits of Parkin at speeds of approximately 120 M.P.H. Trooper Hensley turned from State Highway 75 south and proceeded eastbound to take the secondary unit position. As we exited from the city of Parkin, the suspect accelerated and continued driving recklessly. We entered into Crittenden County and proceeded eastbound on U.S. 64. We came to an area with no traffic and the suspect vehicle moved into on- coming lanes of traffic. Trp. Hensley took secondary in the pursuit as we passed the Earle High School. The suspect vehicle continued driving recklessly as we entered into the three lanes east of Earle. Cpl. Strayhorn and Sgt. Roberts set up spikes at the Grassy Lake Bridge. Trp. Cheers waited on the pursuit east of Grassy Lake Bridge. The suspect vehicle sped up and passed another vehicle running head on with a passenger car that had to run onto the shoulder of the roadway to avoid a collision as the roadway dropped from 3 lanes back down to 2 lanes. We continued traveling eastbound at triple-digit speeds as the suspect passed multiple vehicles in a dangerous location. A successful spike deployment was conducted at the Grassy Lake Bridge, causing the suspect to reduce his speed. Trp. Cheers took primary in the pursuit and moved his vehicle into position to conduct a TVI. A TVI was conducted by Trp. Cheers, who successfully conducted the maneuver and caused the suspect vehicle to leave the roadway to the right and enter the south ditch. The suspect vehicle overturned multiple times. A felony take down was initiated on the suspect, who was responsive to commands. He exited from his vehicle and laid down on the ground next to his vehicle. He was taken into custody without incident and an ambulance was contacted to have him checked out at the scene. Upon the arrival of EMS, the EMT’s determined that the suspect needed to be transported. Trp. Cheers rode in the back of the ambulance with the suspect who was transported to Baptist Medical in West Memphis. After being admitted to the hospital, the suspect who was identified as Ethan Matthew German, refused to take any medical treatment. An AMA, against medical advice, form was filled out and signed by German and the attending Physician and German was transported to the Cross County Detention Facility. German was formally charged with the following: 1. 27-16-303: Driving on a suspended DL 2. 27-22-104: No Liability Insurance 3. 5-54-125(d)(2): Felony-Fleeing-Vehicle or Conveyance-substantial danger of death 4. 27-51-301(a): driving left of center 5. 27-51-307: Improper passing on left 6. 27-50-308(b)(1)(B): Reckless Driving 7. 27-50-302(a)(7): Speeding more than 15 M.P.H. (135/55) 8. 5-13-204: Aggravated Assault x6 9. 27-14-306: Fictitious Tags 10. 27-14-701: Owner Fail to Register vehicle 11. 27-16-302: Unlawful Use of a DL 12. 27-51-403: Signals for turning, stopping, decreasing speed required 13. 27-51-305: Following too closely 14. 27-52-107: Fail to stop at a red light
@@InspektoraDeFrutas. they worked. Spikes are designed to deflate the tires so there is a decrease of performance rather than a sudden and complete loss of control. This usually results in the vehicle either slowing down and getting PIT’d, not slowing down and losing control on a turn, or the tires disintegrating if they keep driving on them too long, at which point scenario 1 or 2 occurs.
actually there is one that I just saw that's even better...Arkansas State Police drop SPIKES during pursuit of truck is the title of it... so if you want to see a perfectly executed one, it's at 7.45 on that chase. 😊
@@InspektoraDeFrutas. Not for long. His tires were about to pop off. That first little love tap from the cruiser caused the right front tire to shred and fly off.
@@newfieboy1947 The _deployment_ was world class. Besides, even with runflats he had to slow down a lot. So yeah, the spike strip did lots of good. Why don't you understand simple things 🤡
Trooper's Narrative: (both dogs were ok) That was the first thing I said when I seen those puppies is I pray they are ok!! Thank you for letting us know they are ok
@@johnbeltron8787 Don't mind this sort of mindless people, but thank you. Such opinions fit right in with the woke, defund idiocrats of the liberal sect of our country. But watch them scream, if their home is burglarized, or if they or a loved one's assaulted in any way. They'll sing a much more different tune. I, too once thought I was a real 'toug guy' who had no use for law enforcement. At 74 I'm all grown up now, and found that shown dignity and respect, these officers are the best friends we could ask for. Thank you for appreciating them!
Travelling over those rumble strips at 135 mph must be brutal on a car's tires too! I was somewhat expecting that one of the perp's tires might blow from just constantly crossing back and and forth over that broken pavement at those speeds.
Total recorded chase time was 10 minutes and 11 seconds according to the dash cam (9:55:00 to 10:05:11). According to the GPS coordinates they travelled 21.4 miles, averaging 126 mph. That drive at 55 mph (posted speed limit) should normally take 23 minutes and 20 seconds. I'm very impressed that the Tahoe maintained that speed for that long. Trooper West is one of my favorites on this channel
You Arkansas policemen are just fantastic. Thank you so much for expertly performing your duties and keeping the roads safe. I pray that you remain safe from harm's way. Louise Claridge, Chicago suburbs, but from Kentucky.
Great video PP, thanks! Liked how you switched the cam views to show the officers with the spike strips and the cars doing the PIT. Great job by the Troopers. I feel bad for the two doggos that got ejected, glad they are ok and hope they get adopted. Dont mess with the ASP, they dont play! Thanks PP❤🚓🚔
So much respect for the ASP!!! I have watched 100's of these videos and what comes to mind is that seeing a vehicle in a field or ditch surrounded by ASP, has to be pretty common place in Arkansas.
I seen a news story few days about ASP and they said last was over 900 chases and average about 2 a day. The superintendent of State Police said they would continue to PIT if necessary, guess criminals in Arkansas don't watch the news 😂
It is nice to see stop sticks successfully deployed. That seems to be such a rare occurrence. Unfortunately, chases like this will never end until the judicial system decides to take them seriously. An immediate double tap would eliminate repeat offenders, and it might cause other dirtbags to think twice.
uh no it won't hahaha it's funny you think it would considering they used to have firing squads, town squares where adulterers were shamed, hands cut off for stealing and yet people still did all those things, it didn't detour them one bit. Criminals are gonna do that they do best, commit crime without worrying.
Whoa! Put a red cape and boots on that first dog!! He came out of that tumbling car and hit the ground running thinking 'eff this, I'm outta here!' Glad both dogs are okay though, great job ASP!
Force an Arkansas Trooper into a dangerous high speed chase and he is going to be pissed. Make him get his boots muddy and now you are in SERIOUS trouble.
Dude was like; “Vroom! See ya later suckers! Ultimate driving machine… Hey why are you pitting me?” 😢 *I like that they charged him with everything in the book (in the video description) but unfortunately, with the way the ‘justice system’ works, the judge will probably dismiss most of those legit charges for a plea deal and have him serve a lesser sentence then be on parole. He lives to reoffend again.
Nice work officers! Thank you for taking out this POS who risked lives including his dogs. He should never own another animal or vehicle. May karma bite him in the a$$ after his dogs do!
I'm happy to see that the dogs were ok, the only thing worse than pulling this shirt with children in the car, is doing it with innocent pets. I hope they were removed from his care!
12:56 -- That was probably the most aggressively delivered Miranda warning I've ever heard. 😂 "DO-YOU-UNDERSTAND-THESE-RIGHTS-AS-I-HAVE-EXPLAINED-THEM-TO-YOU?!" "YES, DRILL SERGEA--er, Trooper."
they never learn , I hope a good judge put him in jail for long time and don't play the drop charges game after police risk their life to arrest the trash.
No, that makes no sense at all lol. Road conditions in dense SoCal and rural Arkansas are completely different. Cops in CA can't predict which road a perp is going to go on and they have a lot less opportunity to pit cars that are ripping through traffic in busy areas. There's almost no cars on the road in this vid and he's taking a major highway through a rural area where the cops can reasonably predict where to set up spikes. ASP is top of their game for sure but this was nothing like the chases CA cops have to deal with.
That was a trashy pursuit. The officer almost took out several cars by passing into oncoming traffic at 130mph. Then nearly killed the BMW driver and himself with the 105mph pit. Not a good example.
I applaud the drivers that did yield! 135+ mph is nothing to mess with. They stayed safe and the troopers too! By the time this was over the BMW sounded like a cheap lawn mower from Wally world! What a fool!
As I've mentioned, hundreds of times, the overpass and underpass are the perfect places for a spike strip, they're impossible to avoid! The underpasses have a shadow which hide the strip!
Trooper driving over 130, excellent skill behind the wheel at that speed. To the trooper pitting over 100 mph; stupid. Could have seriously injured the suspect. Shame on suspect for running and with dogs in the back. Also, the moment the suspects vehicle comes to a stop after FLIPPING like that, render ASSISTANCE! Don't stop and wait.
Some deserve 150k volts, makes a better world for the ones that don't...need to hold those who make um accountable.....double tap solves the problem....play stupid games, win the best prize
Did your Momma and Daddy not teach you "Don't break the law" ? Probably not !! Guess you will bond out and do it again. Pathetic parenting. Good Job ASP!
this type of video should be shown in all Arkansas driving schools and class but if they did that, we wouldn't be able to enjoy these videos but the public would be much safer..........
I'm unfamiliar with Arkansas but it looks mostly rural and depressed. Struck by the numbers of cars who seem to ignore the lights/sirens and don't pull over.
Hmm, I wonder if the Walmart truck they pass at about 1:26 is the same one that passes by the scene later at 15:40 lol. Also, glad the poor doggos are ok!!
My favorite police Dept is ASP. They simply go to work and almost always take down the punk thug trash bags they go after. They drive better than most other forces and always are relaxed and calm getting the job done. In Florida the police let this go unless a violent crime as a general rule and thugs get away with so many things here that police don't even fight anymore. Plus police here must say please and thank-you to every crook or more crooked attorneys file law suits for these trash bags. We're all tired of it.
YIKES I know the cops were pissed but to move that guy after that wreck without medical first... BIG MISTAKE.. that dude could sue them... Just Saiyan....
Thats why your dogs should be in a crate while traveling. For their safety. Or buckled in with a strap, you can get special buckles for them to secure them in your car. Just fyi.
