NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - On Thursday, October 3, 2024, around 9:38 p.m., Arkansas State Police (ASP) Troopers stopped a rented black 2024 Chrysler Pacifica on Interstate 40 Eastbound at the 159-mile marker for a traffic violation. Troopers searched the vehicle and found five large trash bags in the rear of the vehicle filled with approximately 136 pounds of individual vacuum-sealed packages of illegal marijuana. ASP arrested the driver, Hui Zhang, 34, of Flushing, NY, and transported her to the Pulaski County Detention Center, where she was booked and charged with felony Possession with the Purpose to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Criminal Use of Property. Zhang told investigators she was traveling from Oklahoma to South Carolina.
I didn’t hear what her answer was when the trooper asked her did you rent the vehicle? I would think she would have since they don’t want it tied back to the person that gave him the marijuana.
@@kinsley7777 I agree can’t make up a better story.. Either way with that amount of pot as soon as she opens the window as the officer approaches the car he could probably smell it even though it’s vacuum sealed bags just being around it absorb the odor.
@DavidJones-ib3zy Ark highways are the main route for these mo ron mules, ASP is very well known for the many many huge busts they make almost daily. They do an excellent job of spotting all the little red flags & nailing them.
@@rob_1 there are plate reader cameras on state line crossings across the south and southwest, maybe nationwide now. so if you cross 1 way then cross back within a day it gives an alert to all the cops in different states then when the readers in the cars see you go by the cops follow you till you make some sort of traffic violation to stop you. also if its registered rental plates that triggers alarms. so cross lines on back roads, dont stop at rest stops, dont drive a rental car. stay a few days before returning. have legit proof of a place you went for vacation and dont have illegal stuff in car.
From NY to S. Carolina by way of Oklahoma(for a couple of hours) and Arkansas. She called "her friend after she got pulled over. Cops already know. License plate readers are Big Brother.
Not because of her📱. But because he is pretty GOOD at his job.(She appeared worried when passed me ).. Just by looking at her face. How amazing! 🙂 Thank u for sharing❤️
Sometimes it's necessary. If a person is old, perhaps someone has a rotator cuff injury, has had recent surgery on an arm or shoulder ... there's a number of reasons to cuff in front but extra vigilance is always needed.
For the love of god people, if you’re going to traffic, have a story together that doesn’t include “I’m in a rental car from five states away and I’m visiting someone for one day, and I don’t really know why I didn’t fly but I needed to pick up a car” for the love of god.
How about just not answering their questions. Officer: Where [are] you coming from? Me: All the information you need for this traffic stop is in your hand. (license and insurance) Officer: Where are you going? Me: I'd like to be free to go. Let me know when I'm free to go. ... The only other question I'll answer is if the cop asks me why I'm not answering questions. At that point I'll tell him what Supreme Court Justice Robert Jackson said, and I paraphrase, "Any lawyer worth his salt will tell you under no circumstances you talk to the police." If a Supreme Court justice says you should exercise your right to remain silent then it's probably a good idea to remain silent.
Damn, it must be very stressful being the only officer on scene with that amount of marijuana could be following her miles behind and drive-by and do something horrible
Cuz they transport it so often so they get complacent after a while and dont do the stuff that normally wouldnt get them caught, that goes with all criminals eventually you get lazy and slip up eventually
@@lancecahill5486 I thought so too but he said that it was a very very faint odor, I would have thought that you could get a contact high😅 from that much weed! I’m being sarcastic about the contact high!!
Did she say "please let me go"? They dont pay the brightest people to transport. I dont understand how a few thousand dollars is worth taking the chance at losing your freedom!
Exactly what I was going to say. I thought I was hearing things. I mean, who say "please let me go" AFTER getting caught with OVER 100 pounds of drugs? 🤦♂🤦♂🤡🤡
Not a loss of freedom for many once it goes to court and get a plea deal at worst. I'd love to know what the outcome is for many of these type of cases?
They will if she doesn't snitch. Everybody on utube knows not to mess with AR. . Im sure tge organizations know also. Thats why they didnt drive it themselves. Sad, so young when $2500 seems like alot of $
These videos have proved me to be naive. I'm been in Oklahoma my whole life and hear about the illegal grow operations etc, but didn't realize how much product is being shipped out of the state - from licensed / illegal grow ops
Warm comfortable jacket, nice rented car, all that road to be driving on anywhere she want's, All those freedoms and comforts gone for some money. Ive never understood these peoples inability to weigh the pros and cons of this.
If you are trafficking...DO NOT USE I-40 crossing the border from OK to AR! Find another route because AR state troopers are looking for any opportunity to stop any vehicle they see heading east out of Oklahoma with out-of-state tags, especially rentals. As a matter of fact, you'd be better off avoiding traveling through Arkansas altogether if you're running drugs.
Chinese have had there hand illegally in the weed buissness in Oklahoma...been getting raided alot. When Oklahoma first passed legal weed the Chinese rushed In And was trying to buy up land to run weed farms...they would use a proxy owner .Must be a legal resident of the state for the liscense..
@@Ringworld2 TBH you should be up in *arms* if that was a British factory. I think it's all good, considering that Chinese invented gunpowder/fireworks, not to mention never invaded the US.
I keep waiting for someone to drive by, stop, and proceed to "help" him. Anyone driving by would definitely know what's happening. Scary. Great job, Officer.
The big mistake people make is talking. Especially if you're guilty of something. Don't answer questions. You have the right to remain silent, your best bet is to use that right.
LOL exactly, as other comments said, the point at which she should have stopped talking was LONG before she started piecing together this extremely tall tale LMAO
Don't people watch ASP before they try to take drugs through AR... rental vehicle, coming from OK and driving at night. And always the word Ahhh before answering, where are you going or where are you coming from. And their timeline of how long they were there.
So now that you know, are you going to take a carload of drugs through Arkansas? I mean you seem to have all the answers on how it’s done right. You can make big money, huh?
I actually work for a rental car company and I drive to Oklahoma from Little Rock almost every week and the police are constantly stopping us and asking us these questions because we’re driving a rental vehicle. They are profiling people who drive rentals using them to transport drugs on I-40. We’re tired of constantly being stopped and questioned like criminals when we’re just doing our job. The police have tag readers in their cars and they already know it’s a rental vehicle when they light you up
I hope these cops know that if she is bailed out, the people who bail her out will probably have her “un-alived” within 24 hours of her release. Asian gangs do not accept failure. Getting arrested is not a form of street card for them like it is with Black and Hispanic gangs-it is a huge dishonor and an arrest like this is usually a terminal mistake…
You can tell just from the way she's resigned in the back of the squad that she knows she's done for. At BEST she gets left alone by them and goes to prison.
I dont think this is organized triad type stuff. It's really not ALOT in the big spectrum. Also if the DEA isn't coming out? Seems to me a real organization would have made better efforts to hide this. She probably was doing it for her family member, or lover. Also $2500??? Real traffickers woukdnt use a rental. They would already have a local car registered in each state they were traveling. Imo.
She be out in a year or 2 . Probably part of an international drug trafficking sect .The thing is they eventually get caught but it can years and during that time thousands of lbs of drugs are in society , resulting in more crime, more death, more destruction, more hospital visits, more accidents and the continues general decline of society in towns and citys .
Also realistically they just want the fines. A small county of 16k people can afford a hummer. So can a town of 3500 within said county. I wonder how they manage that when a fat chunk of the tax dollar goes toward the schools.... I wonder.... 😂
Thank you, LT! It's taking me a bit to watch the videos I've missed. It's been kind of crazy around here. Many still have no power. The grocery stores are not able to keep up. I am busy filling my pantry with canned foods. Meat included. Won't be lift without again. I have enough for my family and then some. Even sterilized water to be shelf stable. Just being prepared.
@@arkansaspoliceactivity Thank you. God is good no matter what. Those in North Carolina are far worse off than we are. Unfortunately, their loved ones are ending up in waterways far south of where they lived. It is sad that they have not gotten the help they deserve. But that is another story and another soapbox I could get on. Thank you for your prayers.
Rental vehicle. Coming from Oklahoma. Iffy story. "My friend told me to pick up this car." What's in the trash bags? Is everything in the car yours? No. Yup, you are a smuggler. Bye bye.
Thanks for keeping everyone safe. This very dangerous plant matter was likely to consumed by hard working Americans. Could you imagine the outcome if this shipment would have arrived at its destination. This is truly heros work...
Thank you Trooper Crossland! We have the absolute best State Troopers in the nation !!!!! They are so good at intercepting illegal drugs. They make us so proud!!!! Please be safe, wear gloves and don’t take too many chances, we want you to go home to your loved ones.
Naive ppl do not get anxious. She is playing innocence & weakness. She knows that asking stupid questions will make some appears as dumb or naive & used by evil ppl.
One of these days I'm gonna take a huge cooler and drive across state lines where certain things are legal. I'm gonna go to one of those shops that's right on the border and carry my empty cooler in. About 20 minutes later I'm gonna have someone help carry my empty but seriously heavy looking cooler out to my car and struggle getting in in the back seat. Then I'm gonna drive back across state lines and see how long it takes to get pulled over. 🤣
people it aint worth it. they got plate readers up and down the freeway across the south and southwest and in the cop cars. they know where you been and where you are. if you in a rental or cross state lines and come back right away it triggers a regional alert and cops will be looking for you.
@@arkansaspoliceactivity hope you’re enjoying a peaceful Sunday … saw that yesterday ~ ouch !! … seemed like one of my boys’ scores 1-6 so far ~ makes me wanna cry 😭 … there’s always my Sox ⚾️ lol
There are huge grow operations run by chinese immigrants all over the country. They try to ship it to their contacts in other states where it is more expensive
Even though I’m pretty sure they were tipped off, that has to be the most incriminating story ever told by someone getting pulled over. Holy moly that was dumb
There's a good chance this will be thrown out in court. There's a U.S. Supreme Court decision that established that traffic stops cannot be prolonged any longer than necessary to carry out the purpose of the stop. If he pulled her over for lane drift, all he can legally do is run her driver's license and give her a ticket for failure to drive in an established lane. All this chit-chat about how are you doin', where are you comin' from. where are you goin', etc., is just to prolong the stop. Same thing with having her come sit in his cruiser -- there is NO need for that just to write a ticket for distracted driving. They do that so they can chat up the driver, which unnecessarily prolongs the traffic stop. Don't get me wrong -- I don't like drugs and I'm always happy when the police get them off the streets. But I also care about the Constitution, and I hate it when the police play games to get around Constitutional rights.
Sometimes these fishing expeditions-regardless of how unconstitutional and randomly arbitrary they are-pay off. But it WAS still a pretty sketchy fishing expedition…
How Stupid can Oklahoma Growers be?? They don't watch these videos and figure out Rental vehicles from Oklahoma in Arkansas are going to be stopped & searched!!
It's the Chinese cartels, they have plenty of "slaves" working for them, they don't care to loose a few...they will just bring 3 more across the border to replace the one lost.
