A man was arrested in the San Gabriel Valley after he led authorities on a dangerous chase in which he stole a van and a truck, and hit several other cars on the road. Full story: abc7.com/chase-police-pursuit...
Love how they dogpiled that innocent dude at the end. Really showed how brave they are, especially after they didn’t bother boxing in the van at the start. This is as bad as the cops during the school shooting in Texas last spring.
Cops scared to do their jobs. That’s why this took so long and why so many ppl put in danger. No cop wants to do something that puts them in a bad light. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
Im so confused , for almost 2 hours, the police couldn’t arrest nor stop the actual suspect who stole multiple vehicles, rammed into several innocent people’s cars and endangered an entire city, and they dealt with him as if he is just doing a minor misdemeanor, but the poor guy who had his car rammed into by the suspect gets arrested violently and had his face smashed and pushed into the asphalt as if he is committing a serious felony.
@@decadicc did you see him get calmly walked back to the car and hands cuffed standing 😂 the other guy didn't get treated that well and he didn't have a gun.
@@jct4418 My guess at first was that they wanted to get him out of there so he didn’t get shot or something but they were super rough with him and I don’t understand why he was detained.
I agree. I do not know what protocol they have in Cali. but that was seriously embarassing . With a minimal effort this could have ended way earlier. If this is an indication of the level of possible response available by police today God help us.
Homeowner is a civilan without and protocol. Police are law enforcement officers with specialized training to handle such situations. Review their training, why they train that way before judging them
@@cbletl1996 After I watched that, I told my girl don't ever try to restrain me from protecting what is mine, especially after breaking into my house. Oh no... that lady should have let her man handle it, because those cops were pathetic.
@@thunderb00mAre you saying these were "trained officers"...? At "Mc.Donalds"...??? How many lives were in jeopardy because of their"training"...? But they saved the live of the "criminal"...!
@@jnh14 it's easy to find. The guy who was arrested out of the car is Adrian Cruz. So if you Google search Adrian Cruz detained Los Angeles, you can find some good articles
Good news the van owner raised over $25,000 on GoFundMe & the other family with the truck has raised over $90,000. Glad they’ll be able to recover from this 🙌🏼
Better news would be if CA police learned how to stop these criminals. If CA doesn't wake up and elect people who will fight against criminals instead of treating them like babies they could improve their state for the citizens who are victimized by criminals daily.
This is now my third time of watching this in its entirety. Every time this pops up I end up watching it. It's spellbinding. This is way better than any Hollywood action movie I've ever seen, it keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. This guy has nine lives. I still cannot believe with everything that happened at the very end, that the guy was still able to get out of the vehicle. UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!! This is one of those things that once you see it you never forget it.
To the officer who had him blocked in the parking spot early on. You could have prevented all this misery by just pressing on the gas and not giving him space to back out. That's why you have push bars on your cruiser!
They were pretty much helpless. Let the guy run amok for more than an hour, destroying whatever got in his way. That's the way the voters want it though.
Their hands are tied. They’re put on trial if they shoot a dangerous moron like this. Heaven forbid if it was a black guy they shoot. Put your brains in. It’s Defund the Police California, where you can take garbage bags in and steal up to $999 dollars. They care about the criminals, not the victims. This is what your marches for a crackhead/ meth eater solidified
The driver was running back and forth to the driver’s side door, so its easy to think it was the suspect trying to take another car for those arriving officers
@@brittanyb.59 it just shows me how ignorant you are to the situation! I’m sure that if you were a cop you will be doing that or even worst decisions! Stay behind your computer desk criticizing 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
@@sherimiller8446 wow! I first laughed when I read your comment. He surely was in the right spot! And then with his take-charge attitude. The only problem was the possibility of crossfire.
Those have to be some of the dumbest cops I've ever seen LOL With guns and knives on their belt there's no way that van should have ever left that original parking lot without at least two flat tires
30 years ago that's exactly what would have happened. Thanks to the cop-hating liberals and bleeding heart democrats, the cops are reluctant to use excessive force and now, these situations are the results.
@@timg2973 no he didn't, he got out of his car because he didn't want to be in the crossfire, and then got arrested because the cops thought he was the suspect
@@Germo_07 are you serious? They thought he was the guy with the stolen truck right in front of them and police aiming their guns at it? How did you find that out?
Johnny Anchondo, 32, of Moreno Valley was arrested Wednesday and charged with violating his parole, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Steve Moreno, who didn’t have information on other potential charges. Anchondo is being held at the Norwalk sheriff’s station without bail and on a parole hold.
After an hour long posted video, we don't even get a synopsis of the charges and why the reason for the run?? What sucks about these videos is they never say what was the reason for the desperate escape and what they were charged for ultimately in the end other than the stuff we could actually see.

A incompetência dos policiais, deixou uma situação de 4 minutos sem vitimas e danos, passar para 01:40 horas com todo os problemas. Lamentável...
What made this video so good to watch was the guy describing everything. You would think we were watching a boxing match or a football game. First time ever I didn't skip through to the end. The broadcaster guy is a legend and does his job better than good.
@ Kimberly Turn my exact thought and the guy should have boomed our "Are you ready to RRRUUUMMBA a a a a aLLLLlll?" Evertime the guy seemed trapped and got to moving again! The Judges score this mismatch at .....
No damn wonder L.A. has so much crime, all the cops were chasing this guy, cornering him, letting him get away, wrecking more vehicles, and endangering innocent people all the time. I'm all in support of law enforcement but this was a real travesty.
Between the ineptitude here and then the cops that shot the UPS driver hostage over in Florida I think, can we actually trust them to handle anything in a useful manner?
The worst thing ever is the fact that the first cop car, at the back of the van, didn't even tried to block him!!! As an retired officer I'm ashamed!!!
If you are referring to the parking lot that cop had jumped out of his vehicle and took cover. He had no backup at the time. Not sure if this is the incident you are referring to but not possible to move your car when you are not in it.
@Cassandra Stokes He had a gun and he had a golden opportunity to, "Serve And Protect" by keeping that van pinned till reinforcements arrived. Pathetically inept.
I think the most egregious thing about this chase is the fact that they viciously slammed that innocent man into the ground, busted his nose, and arrested him. Meanwhile the perp gets paraded with tender care into a squad car while they waited on EMTs. Truly an LAPD moment.
Your point was the most incredible about this. It's followed only by the fact none of rest of this needed to occur had that cop kept him pinned in the van with backup arriving seconds later. CA in competence on world wide display.
How do you know his nose was busted. I didn’t see that. If it was I would consider that he had just been involved in a 2 car collision so I would not think the police caused it. Plus, I would more believe they had to hand cuff the car wreak victim for his own safety. I know some hot heads that if they were in that situation white rage would be driving them and they would have went straight and confronted the perpetrator. Maybe the officers were preventing that from happening. That makes more sense than to believe they pulled a car wreak victim out of a car, injure him and then hand cuff him for jail. That sounds dumb.
@@Marg205 Yours is the first rational suggestion of why the innocent guy in the car got so manhandled. I was thinking the cops just had steroid rage after the chase.
They threw that guy down and tackled him as if he was the guy they were after. They weren't doing that just to keep him from approaching the pickup I'm sorry to say. A shame.
I thought that maybe it was somehow a person related to the truck that was stolen, following down the persuit with his own agenda to get back at the car thief😊😊
The "weed wacker" was a total fail though, but it did last half the chase time before the truck got totaled...... poor guy, he baught it brand new only a few months before it was taken out by the crim.... You see, he loved that truck more then his mrs..... thats why he ran out with the pistol and she tried stopping him as she wanted the truck to die.... "Jealousy is a bitch" is more than a saying in their household 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
I miss the days when video games taught people to run around in the dark, eating pills and chasing ghosts while electronic music plays in the background.
His bosses clearly thought he was talking too much there were several times he stopped talking mid sentence. It's almost like u could hear them say "shut up Bobby "
Thank you, this is appalling. There's been no strategy they're just letting him run amok how many people he could have killed already going into a house, I'm amazed. Never happen in Most states that have been police all over the place this has gone on ridiculously embarrassingly too long.
I like how the commentator was like "I'm sad to say that this has come to an- I mean I'm happy to say this has come to an end" Man was actually enjoying and I can't blame him
I caught that too. It’s unfortunate that anyone would enjoy after all that destruction. I’m so thankful a lot of people weren’t hurt, but so much of it could have been prevented if the hundreds of officers did their job SMDH
The cowardice and incompetence of those 3 police officers who failed to shoot out his tires or pin the van in the parking lot is astounding. They should all be FIRED.
You how officers feel nowadays if it so happens that they do their job they’ll find their self with a lot of complaints from people who hates our officers
One of the cops literally told me that he seen the criminal jump into my backyard but didn’t proceed to chase him because he was alone and didn’t know if the criminal was armed LOL
@@merliegretler997 I felt as trained Officers they could have ended the chase far sooner. They are still being criticised for this poor performance that took the entire Police Department in their juristriction. Thankfully there were no fatalities, but the Lunatic Driver could have killed multiple people to reach his escape.
Hamm, he said the guy had poor car control when I thought the bad guy showed reasonable car control. Caught a few slides etc. Showed some restrain and not quite as reckless as they made out. MSM always hype to hype it to keep you watching. Even though they did not really need to here, dramatic enough without the hype.
he did not have time to transfer from the truck to the motocross bike. need to wear body armor. take at least a couple of defensive fragmentation grenades to protect the infantryman in the fight against superior resistance forces, as well as a powerful smoke bomb and wire cutters. then he would have at least some chance.
Video was still live, but lost audio after the crash & gunfire. From the look of the bullet holes, I'd be shocked if the runner wasn't dead! Does anyone know how this ended?
They had him in that cul-de-sac and let him go, unbelievable. Apparently it is their protocol to just let him keep going until he crashes into something or someone, and then they'll go ahead and arrest him. They wouldn't want to endanger the public for crying out loud, they're going to let this guy endanger the public for an hour and a half instead.
@@ScaryClarey You don't spray bullets in a neighbourhood like that. They ricochet. The correct move would've been to pin the truck in with cruisers but they failed at that.
@@ScaryClarey Not everything you see in movies can be applied in real life. When officers open fire it's considered DEADLY FORCE meaning that there MUST be justification to end a life otherwise the police will face charges. Bullets will also ricochet off the rims in all directions.
@@ScaryClarey Shooting a firearm is considered DEADLY FORCE by the police. They can only open fire when it is justified for the police to take a life otherwise the police can be brought up on charges. This is why they can never just shoot someone in the leg or arm with the intent of injuring them and not killing them because lawyers and prosecutors will have a field day with them in court. Tires also surround a metal wheel (rims) which can cause the bullets to ricochet in any direction killing or seriously hurting people. The only means to take out tires would be with a spike strip.
No bro, that commentary wasn't good, he was all over the place. I guess I get annoyed when a person misses information that his commenting on, when we all can see it. I give him a 3/10 for the commentary.
This entire thing is embarrassing for the police. Had they worked harder in the beginning, NONE of that insane damage would've happened. That guy went full-on GTA here.
When DON'T police embarrass themselves??? The entire institution of law enforcement in the US is a joke. They use excessive force all the time when it's unwarranted, and then don't use enough or step up and do their jobs when it is warranted. They're absolutely useless.
They lie all the time. Watch a few of them. They go on about how close he is or how he almost hit that guy but he wasn't that close and nope he didn't hit that guy. I've seen it so many times. They weren't as bad this time but he was driving really well. It was wrong but it was impressive maneuvering.
@@lorimiller4301 yes I was just yelling at the video saying he was not close where's all the people they're talking about in front of the elementary school I guess he's got to try to make it exciting
I was gonna say all that. He is on something for sure, relentless. But it's surprising how skillfully he drove almost the entire time. Dangerous? Yes. Could have been worse? Very yes. I think the worse part is when he went into that house where he stole the last vehicle.

The thing that makes me angry is that the people who own those vans probably work really hard. Truck is vital to their business, probably full of tools. Arrogance of law breakers!! 😠
@@rochellefox5907 They sure do! But too bad the politicians in the state have made it easier for criminals to be criminals. I don’t know where you live, but where I live criminals, are walking into stores, filling up their backpacks or bags, full of merchandise, and walking right out. the crime in our area is out of control going.
The guy probably wasnt in the helicoper. You should have been able to figure that our yourself, but this is the sad state of the world where people don't think for themselves before just believing what they are told or the first stupid thought that comes to their mind.
I was sitting their yelling at my screen for the officer to push his car up further against the white van so he couldn't build the momentum to push the it out the way. The cop gave him everything he needed to escape.
@@BornAgainstAll I was thinking the same. I understand the safety concern but with the LITTLE room he had there would’ve been little to know injury to the officer in the car
They announced this morning Johnny Ashando was charged with 18 felonies and 7 misdemeanors. DA says if convicted on all charges he could get 54 years in prison.
Based on the articles attached, they literally arrested the victim that was hit for absolutely no reason other than trying to protect himself and his family. Absurd.
Why was the guy in the white car manhandled, but the guy who tormented an entire city was softly placed under arrest and treated with more respect? WTF? This blows me.🤷🏽♀️
Cops can't nor should they shoot at tires unless absolutely neccesary, and this situation wasn't one of them heres why; 1. The Bullet could easily miss it's mark (guns aren't as easy to aim as you may think) and ricochet 2. They were in a domestic area with people living in homes at the times he was cornered 3. Shooting a tire mid-pursuit has an incredibly low chance of hitting it's mark, as well as if it DID manage to hit it's mark, the car could spin out of control and hit pedestrians, other cars, a home, etc.
An officer posted on the passenger side of the van when it was stuck would have stopped this madness right there. Officers had so many opportunities to end this. They failed miserably
