Another great video Mark, for the life of me I can't figure out how to get into the ballistic calculator to set to real time or the other. where do I find it, in the scope menu to change it there? Keep more videos coming on the Arken, this scope is the best. 👍👍👍👍
Another great video Mark. I assume you had it in 'dial' mode when you were seeing the reticle move when ranged. The 'holdover' mode would show a red cross somewhere on the reticle to alert you to the changing POA depending on the range. IMHO it would have been nice to have seen that also. Maybe in another video? Excellent work though.👍
I did my first para course at RAF Brize in June/July 1984, then a refresher in October 1996. 144 PFA in 83, and 16 det, 4 Para in 96. I had been with 23 SAS between 86-92, but was out of date when I went to 4 Para.
Yes, did P-Coy in the September of 83, followed by the medic course, then it took about 9 or 10 months before I got to go to No.1 PTS. @@predatorprotectionuk
Do you know where Arken ship from to the UK? I've ordered one over a week ago and no delivery update yet. Looking forward to trying it out on the sub 12 FX Impact MK2. Cheers for the vid
I believe they have a distributer in the UK. If it hasn't arrived yet, it shouldn't be too long. They manufacture them and send them in batches. The first batch sold out in two weeks, and it takes a couple of weeks in between batches. I am sure that as time goes on, manufacturing will grow, and this issue will sort itself out. You will love it when you get it. Remember to get a micro SD card and some flat top 18650 batteries in the meantime. They ship from their factory in China. I got mine in the second batch, which was delivered from a UK address.
So, you have to go to the app every time u need to change ammo type? God Its driving me mad!!! so complicated compared to my Pard 008s. Battery is flat its taken so long to not work out how to work this bloody thing.
Yes, it works really well. The scope also has a built-in gyroscope that will read all angles of shot. You input you zero angle for your ballistics, so it should adjust accordingly.
@@airgunsniper-elite7385 Ok, I will try it. I had switched off gyro, and while shooting at approx 60 deg up, my shot was far too high, and didn't hit where the reticule indicated.
You can make adjustments to the scope and zero on the scope itself, through the menu settings. But if you want to use the biult in ballistic software for automatic aim, at any range, you'll need to upload the information, such as projectile weight, BC, Zero distance and distance that you will be shooting too and from. This will depend on the type of rifle used, such ans an air rifle, or even a high powered powder burner. Once this information is uploaded though, for a particular rifle, or projectile, it will stay in the menu directory for use in the future. The scope has 26 slots for different shooting senerios that you put in, using the app, so you have lots of choice. If you don't want to bother with the app and use the scope like any other rifle scope to make your windage and elevation, you can. You can also save money and buy the version without the laser rangefinder, and save £150, if you aren't bothered about automatic reticle sighting in.
@@airgunsniper-elite7385 I was thinking of putting it on a .22 bolt action with one setting subsonics and one for stingers,, thanks very much for your feedback appreciate it.
Pointless buying the 600pound version for an airrifle shooting out to 40 yards tops more for fac work. Seriously think if you don't understand hold over and under you should not be shooting live quarry anyway, and if range finding for shooting at targets you are only cheating yourself and taking all the praise away when you hit a realy difficult target. Gadgets Gadgets whats it all about. All that said i am definitely going to buy the 3x12 when it comes out early next year to up grade my pard 007. Good video, the image seems excellent
Well, that made no sense when the 3-12 was created for sub 12 users. Then you criticise it then say you're buying it. Anyway, why I agree that learning holdover is the best way to develop skill. However, no one is perfect, and if using tech takes away some of the risk of injuring the quarry then that should be the utmost priority
I appreciate your work BUT you need to KNOW what to do b4 u make the video. Therefore I consider the quality of this video, like most of yours' that I seen as NOT VERY GOOD.
