The ads are honestly some of the most horrendous things I've ever seen. The trailers for their upcoming contents are absolutely incredible looking in comparison. They should've just used the PVs made for their game instead to pull in new players from the start.
Arknights is the first gacha game that I've played for over a year and still plays it to this day. What got me into Arknights is a The Speed of light ad featuring penguin logistics, got addicted to the song and the visuals of the animation got me to download it
Ohh my God, same man. I joined at the start but the slow story drove me away. That ad and the song were so catchy that it made me search up the add and brought me back to this game, and I’m glad for that

@@brunopagnoncelli975 it's really weird, all it takes was at least 5 years for something cool to flop like nowadays CGI, I mean in comparison game advertisements and CGI almost shared the same fate. I wonder why?
A lot of the ads felt outsourced, which is weird considering Yostar Pictures could have used the PVs or EPs and just added small animations in between them. It probably makes sense from a staffing perspective so that more people could focus on the actual game, but I still think they could have done their down advertising.
@@kyarumomochi5146 I saw the ads and thought arknights was just another shitty chinese idle game cash grab using crappy "viral meme" ads, which you can argue that it kind of is, but at least the AK devs seem to actually care about the longevity of their game unlike 99% of other chinese mobile game devs. but nevertheless, way too late now.
@@DD-fs7pg honestly arknights is far from being the crappy quick cash grab game, the art, lore and world building go WAAAAYYY too hard, way harder than it needs to, the story is so good that it has it's own anime, the devs care a fuck ton for f2p players, the game is generous and i love the pity system, i mean the game is good, the ads are cringe af.....
This reminds me of the time that I would be discouraged to play Arknights because of the ads. Then, I heard 'Untitled World' and decided to look for content on the actual game. Been playing since August 2020, and still active as ever.
You gotta give Arknights ads credit where credit is due: They get people talking about them, even if it is because of how... _"good"_ they are, haha. Cheers!

Mobile ads love banking on misleading and controversy because that two factor is so easy to attract people, I mean look at ToF and Legend of neverland as good example of game advertise base on controversy.
The fact that i only started playing this game recently because they refuse to promote the gameplay AT ALL so i didn't know what to expect so i didn't even download it is insane to me, this only proves me right
The feater one feels ok to me, it actually shows off that you can push enemies to death in this game which is quite unique and is ACTUAL FUN gameplay but also shows that you can fuck it up too.... The voice-over kinda kills me inside tho, not enough... emotion? Doesn't excuse all the other bad ones of course. Idk maybe it works for the youtube algorithm I guess.
Idk whats wrong with these CN game companies. Everytime they release a game in Global they always have these cringy ads. They look like a poor company that cant pay a decent director for their ads lol
They spend hundred of thousands on the damn PVs, that are absolutely gorgeous, and they still have to goddamn hire a random as fuck marketing company to make absolute trash. Damn, the marketing budget is definitely higher than what they allocate to PVs with those views.
Not really Problem with PVs are they are 2d animated so you are basically giving false information since no one will be expecting a 2d chibi game instead Their budget isnt high its just dirt cheap to make ads like these
i like the ads where they hired nice actors with quality cinematography, coz at least it's clear that they actually invest something in their advertisements. plus they seem to be funny self-aware satire lul
the ad that got me into the game was when i think the game first released, bc there were ads about the obsidian festival event, and the ad was like the ads "showing" recruitment, basically selecting random tags and the result was the summer skins for ops like gummy and shining. idk how i was interested, maybe i thought they just looked really pretty and i really liked them.
the ad for arknights that got my into arknights was just a little youtube 'try arknights today' text thingy. Probably played some ad which I skipped. you know the things the text with a link that shows up after an ad. don't remember seeing any actual ad so I probably skipped it, but was like what the hell, I got a phone with enough space, I'll give it a go. tried azur lane, Did not care for how it played on my phone. Actually think I was just scrolling down youtube on my phone and the ad was there, in text with a link. and thats what got me into arknights.
Been doing those recruitment things for ages and still I HAVE NO SEIGE! * 0 * Literally been waiting for her to be even summon able and there's no chance so far.
I feel like most gacha games ads that uses skits are weird. They're not exactly bad or good, and the skit is pretty funny. But they are definitely on the weird side. I think the "good" ads are probably the one where they use the trailers as the ads, like the code of brawl event ad(that ad got me to play arknights after all lol). Other gacha games that I know uses the trailers as ads are probably only Honkai and Genshin(although they have some weird skits too lol)
Ironically it's because I didn't saw any of these that I got into Arknights, it's because my gf was one day like "check out this game I found 2 days ago, it's so good" If I saw any of these, I probably wouldn't have trusted her when she said "it's so good" It's my favorite game now though, so yeah :p
well I got into arknights about 2 weeks ago and love it!. but...I have seen any Ads for Arknights like those on your vids. I did find about arknights from the music/music video they have of Arknights lol
these horrendous ads are the reason that discouraged me to play arknights for 2 years, the only reason I started playing Arknights is because of a video called "oh the misery but its arknights lore". it had a nice but dark artwork and decided to give the game a shot and goddamn the games good. edit: also I first knew arknights at the 3rd ad but I didnt want to play the game because of the many misleading ads I saw before it, I regret not playing the game earlier
I got into Arknights because BTC, a youtuber, mentioned it a few times. If I watched any of these ads before hearing about AK from BTC, I wouldn't have given it a chance.
While most are outsourced the panda and corgi are inhouse since those employers also appear in Azur Lane streams from time to time (I assume AK too but I dont watch those).
My phone just got broken recently, and when I have my new phone, I can't log in into my gmail for a while cause I was outside. Also I've seen arknights ads it was hilarious. Like 5 ads in 1 night XD

Honestly the shitty early ads (mostly the live action ones) convinced me not to play Arknights. Ironic too since I did watch some of their later animated PV and their listened to their music (i.e. speed of light) which are actually pretty damn good, but now it's a little too late to get back in; already spent my time and money elsewhere.
