We're going to do reviews and Q&As at the end of every arc, so look out for those! But if you're expecting Grandma to like One Piece more than every other piece of fiction, even anime - I hate to say we're likely to disappoint. I don't see it from her perspective ever surpassing Pratchett's work - or likely Vinland Saga/Hunter x Hunter But regardless I imagine she'll be highly invested and effusive in her enjoyment, especially when we hit Skypeia/Water Seven - and if I have to take a shot in the dark...Zou

@@yeboimadil4781 if you’ve got any other modern authors she should check out let me know, we’ve both been looking into Sanderson

@@GRANIME Sanderson is considered a juggernaut in modern fantasy, so cant go wrong with him. Especially if she enjoys the world building of Discworld, as all of Sanderson books take part in the Cosmere and even books that seem unrelated are meant to be connected at some point. Mistborn trilogy is a good jumping off point, not as well written as his later stuff but sets up the lore of his universe very well. Im also hesitant to reccomend the Kingkiller Chronicles, as the series is infamously on a permanent hiatus. But Patrick Rothfuss has incredible prose that lets you devour everything he writes. The books are beautifully written and exceptionally unique, especially the magic sysytem.
