I think Ussop having that moment with Dalton was a cool/good one. Even though he's scared to go to the castle, and even though he knows he nowhere near strong enough to carry him there quick enough, he still tried, because of the determination and Bravery Dalton showed inspired him to act
Not really a spoiler, but not in the anime: At the end of Chapter 129 where Nami gets sick, a little SBS from Oda shows Kaya trying to christen the Going Merry. However, the bottle doesn't break, which is a sign of bad luck, and both her face and the Going Merry's face are shocked.
@12:54 "A hunch" [spoilers below the cut] Earlier, Mr. 3 is calling him a beast that can only use Instinct. Here, Luffy's "a hunch" reply would be better translated as "instinct." (It actually was translated that way in the manga scanalation I read long long time ago.) But now we come to the spoilery bit... It's my contention that this is the first use of Haki by any of the Straw Hats in the story thus far. Luffy's "hunch/instinct" really could fit into that. I do NOT think Oda originally meant it that way, but it can seamlessly be incorporated into the entire idea.
Actually decided to read alongside watching through these, just read the chapter (126), and the actual title of it is "Instinct." Hahaha. (Also is the first chapter of the Cover Page story involving Jango.)

Honestly, I always thought it was Him as well, but watching you think about it right here made me try to go see if I could confirm my suspicions. Instead, I realized it could only be one person. Dorry tells us that no human had managed to stay there the entire year, that they all die from one thing or another (dinos, disease, or giants). The one person he mentions that was able to leave before the log set must therefore be the one who wrote about Little Garden, Louis Arnot, author of the book "Bragmen." Then again.... Maybe the giants just don't know about others. I mean heck, I can totally see Miss All-Sunday knowing about the place, but apparently it gets enough travel that Mr. 3 was able to get there immediately, the Unluckies were able to get there immediately, and the general location (after Whiskey Peak but before Nanomani Island) seems to be known to all the numbered BW agents at the very least.

Actually, if you wanna know a lot more about the Merry in particular, check out the last pages of Chapters 91-99. Oda shows a 3D model with detail we never see in the anime, and draws all of the rooms and gives notes about them. It's really cool stuff.

Interesting but useless fact: the manga cover story for these two episodes didn't conclude until after the second fight between the Little Garden Big Bros. So technically, the anime spoiled itself... somehow. I dunno, I'm just rambling trivia to help out with the algorithm. ONTO THE NEXT EPISODE!

They have to pad the battle scenes, and even taking a few liberties later on that I'll point out in about a hundred episodes or so.

@3:20 While I agree that it's Luffy's fault for catching the attention of the whale, without him shooting the thing, the Merry would have splintered into nothing instead of just breaking off Luffy's special seat. So there's a bit of good and bad lol.
I can't say much without spoiling, so I only say that I can't wait for the day we can start throwing our crazy theories at Grandma. (And hopefully I'll be caught up by the time that happens.) Still trying to leave a comment as much as I can for the algorithm, though I don't know if it helps with these older videos.

Luffy only went to the execution platform one time, and never met Smoker until after the events coming up. [EDIT] Chapter 98 for reference.
Hahaha, it's ironic, this filler is where I do NOT particularly like Usopp, but it's where he scores points with Grandson. (Fun fact, these two episodes are the first actual filler in the anime and the second non-canon events; the first non-canon event was meeting Fullbody on the way to Loguetown [in the manga, this never happened, as Fullbody was involved with one of the cover stories involving Jango].)
@35:40 Wow, Grandson got it spot on there with my feelings about the Live Action, especially with regards to both Koby and Buggy. Also, I originally thought the Live Action was going to be a total POS, just because of all the Live Action things we've got for other anime, and the fact that it was Netflix. I kept on seeing people say it was surprisingly good, and I gave it a chance. I still HEAVILY prefer the manga (and anime), but I think that the Live Action did a great job for what it was meant to do; draw in more of a Western audience. It actually seemed to inspire a lot of people to start making the 1100+ chapter journey, and that's always a good thing. Also, I don't know if Grandson has fully watched the Live Action, yet (I would imagine he has by now), but I imagine he'd actually not hate this version of Usopp.
@3:50 Another fun fact about this cover story arc; it actually starts right during the climax of the fight with the Kuroneko Pirates at the island with Syrup Village, and ends just after Sanji joins and they encounter Momoo on the way to Arlong Park. So, technically, Oda threw this at us looooong before Arlong; Toei threw it at you after Arlong.
