Really wished Arma avoided the use of so many external scripts for simple things like delayed spawning of AI. Being able to place a group in the editor, with a simple "delayed activation" check box that could be activated by a trigger. This would add SO much to allowing performance to be optimized. DCS World is a great example of a flexible editor and robust trigger system. Here's hoping Reforger and Arma 4 will improve!

You can set timers on the triggers, that will allow delays.

Thanks, great guidance! I couldn't find anything like this anywhere. The only problem is that the recruit menu remains after the respawn and I can recruit any allied units. But I solved this problem by editing the script. It is necessary to remove the recruit menu when exiting the trigger so that units are recruited only within this area.

Hi, great vids, helped me out a lot. Is there a way of respawning a group of AI or solo AI so that it's name remains the same as before it was killed, e.g. AIGroupOne when respawned is still AIGroupOne. Been stuck on this for a bit now. Cheers in advance.

Not without a script, but that's one thing I don't know how to do, for respawned AI to retain a variable name.

I got it working. But as soon as I die it no longer works once I respawn. There is no recruit option, where as before I died there was.

Hello. First of all, thank you for great guides. Your videos are really easy to follow👍 I have one question. Is it possible to spawn ai reinforcements next to players position, where ever he may be, or do I have to choose certain waypoint? Or even better how can I call paradrop reinforcements close to me?

The best way to have a custom loadout is to use a redress script. I'll do a tutorial on it soon. What it does is applies a pre defined loadout to any troops that are spawned in.

Excellent tutorial having a issue though, works fine until i add multiplayer attributes and a respawn, will no longer let me recruit the units into my squad after that, any ideas??

In MP is was working ok for me until I respawned and then I could still spawn them but not recruit them. I'm not sure why this is happening. I'd suggest perhaps using MGI Advanced Modules on the steam workshop, where any AI in your group can respawn near you and revive/heal each other.

Make the trigger repeatable and set a delay on activation.

Thanks for the good video. My problem now is that I can recruit all units on the map. How do I make it so I can only recruit the spawned units and no others?

Don't walk up to all of them and recruit them?

@@OnlineCombatBN Yes but I have units with other actions such as transport units (helicopters). The Recruit window always appears there and can lead to errors.
