This is an Arma 3 Eden editor tutorial focusing on how to switch between animations whilst still allowing units to react.
How to's...
** How to change units behaviour **
Copy & paste the following into the triggers on act...
S1 setBehaviour "SAFE";
** Animations on Waypoints **
Copy & paste the following into the waypoints on act...
nul = [this] execVM "1stWP.sqf";
Copy & paste the following into notepad++ to create 1stWP.sqf file...
S1 playMove "Acts_Executioner_Squat";
sleep 10.033;
S1 switchMove "";
S1 setBehaviour "SAFE";
** Important trigger to stop combat **
Copy & paste the following into the triggers condition...
({(side _x) == east} count allUnits) ⋖= 1
NOTE!
The angled bracket (less than) ...⋖=1 is not right as youtube will not allow them in the comments so when you copy/paste simply replace ⋖ with the real angled bracket (less than).
Copy & paste the following into the triggers on act...
S1 disableAI "AUTOCOMBAT"; S1 disableAI "COVER";

Very nice. I've been getting back into arma and I decided to watch editor tutorials. Your videos are really well done. Keep up the good work. Question: Does this method of making animations work in multplayer? If not, can you do a quick video of how to do animations in multiplayer? thanks

Hi, great video. Any chance this can be done on a Group level? For example, adding some animations to a group of sentries on patrol? Thxs

Hello, I have a question and I need help. Please help me. I want the character to be seated when the player enters the game. When the player enters the game, the animation will end and return to normal. I did all the code, but I did not succeed. Can someone guide me, how is it?

is there any chance to put specific direction for each animation? i.e from the video shown above, I want animation on WP1 facing to the wall...

Hi can you help me with the animations. I did not get one theme in the plan to the bot plays the animation of firing his weapon, and not just a single and automatic fire. I didn't ask anyone who didn't help with this
