I have served in both the Navy (1969-1978) and the National Guards of Maryland and Washington (1978-1979/1980-1995). I've had the privilege whilst serving as a Civil Mariner to have dealt with the US Coast Guard on both coasts and was in NYC 4 days after the murderous attack on our Nation. As I stood on a 300 ft. Cruise Vessel with a raging heart and tears I watched the USCG the first time in many years in full battle kit. Hats off to the Women and Men serving my beloved Republic.

Warchild, I know how you felt. At 9-11 i was in aviation mech school. I'm a retired Navy Combat Sailor. My country was attacked, and I'm no longer in uniform!!! The instructers sent me home without a time penalty. I wan't my uniform back!! =Srtefan=
