@Peter Andre All ethnic groups in Myanmar are being ethnic cleansing since world war 2. But they stand up for themselves because they don’t want to leave the country while Rohingya did not. If they did all of them will not have to flee. They have more population than other ethnic groups but in order to stand up to the Myanmar military you need to have a reliable leader.

It would still have been the same reply as now. Govt has various reasons for not completely supporting the movement. 1 reason would be that "it's the junta which helps in wiping the terrorist hiding in Myanmar", 2nd reason maybe " the protection to the various infrastructure projects are provided by the junta", 3rd : " if there is no concrete evidence that people can overthrow the junta (China sponsored ) in a decisive swoop, then Myanmar will end up being a proxy of China. Etc etc etc......

Also, there are various ethnic groups as well. If there's no unity amongst them, then the refugee numbers will become higher. Then we can't say, we'll accept A group but not the B & C groups. Rohingyas issues will also come up. You'll have rohingyas trying to sneak in as well.

Besides, the Bamars don't have guns. The Bamars don't have an armed organization. The Myanmar military might seem like a Bamar army but they don't care about what ethnicity you are from since they serve the generals.

We can be very certain the disposed NLD leaders and other groups are secretly organizing the funding, acquisition, training and distribution of firearms.
