We can express approval and admiration to Mary for hearing the word of God and keeping it. Was Mary a sinner no, She was saved from the start of her life from sin by her savor and Son Jesus Christ.

Mary is the ark of the New Covenant. The Bible did not have chapter and verse like we do today. My God is the God of the living. Is your god the god of the dead? We do not ask the dead to pray for us or anyone. Luke 23: 39-43 if the criminal on the cross is going to Paradise. tony Hello Tony. First off, we dont believe Mary was resurrected either. Resurrection from the dead is only something that God can do. Mary was assumed into heaven. I assume translated was supposed to mean transcended? Again, this is something that only Jesus did. Also, the hail Mary is a prayer derived straight from scripture. The our father, and composition of the hail mary comes right out of the Bible.

tony Hi Tony. I understand you hold holy scripture in high regard, I want you to know that I do as well. What the catholic church teaches is derived from scripture. It does not detract from it. Instead, it illuminates God’s revelation to provide sound teaching on sometimes difficult verses to understand. For an understanding on Mary’s place in God’s kingdom, might I suggest reading 1 Kings and 2 Kings again. Remember also, scripture is not just the word of God, it’s also a history book displaying God’s love for his creation. What is prefigured in the OT is brought to its fulfillment in the NT. In 1 Kings we she Bathsheba as wife of king David, but then the mother of the King, her son Solomon in 2 Kings. Note the position and role of Bathsheba from one to the other. And if Christ is our king, then what does that make Mary? Its hard to answer all your questions as I cannot scroll down and continue my response, however I believe after Mary you made references to the sole rule of faith in Scripture alone with different verses. My question to you is, where do the words scripture and alone appear together in the bible? Also, where did the bible receive its table of contents? The 27 books which eventually came to be the NT were not completed by its writers until the very beginning of the second century. Scripture doesn’t tell us, the fact is that men with ecclesiastical authority determined the canon of scripture well after the last letters were written. By relying solely on scripture, your also agreeing that the books contained therein were decided as such by men, and not by God. In other words, in order to get the canon of scripture, you have to step outside of it in order to determine it. How can fallible men decide which books belong if they don’t have some basis in a traditionally held, orally given understandings of how the NT books full filled the OT prophesies? God bless Tony.
