Can I take a moment and say God is it so happy good to see people making armored content and yeah yeah that's exactly what it was like shut his shit down real quick
in retrospect it was as par as a eurojank, it hasnt been a great franchise unless you're a big fan of mecha's. wonder how mainstream and modern gaming reception would be, hope its like how soulslike were excused for their jankiness for being a "soulslike" genre which eurojanks and AA titles dreamed of.
@@R3TR0J4N I just want the new armored core game to be armored core I don't really like dark souls then again I don't really like much of anything the same people most of my age do enjoy you have to be a unique person to be able to enjoy stuff like that
Why do people keep quaking in their boots about the new ArmC being another Soulslike? Its like if Yakuza fans were like “gosh, I hope they don’t make the next Yakuza game like Sonic, I’m so sick of Sonic.”
@@Pleasestoptalkingthanks Because Sega still releases & acknowledge Sonic from time to time, while FromSoftware dropped Armored Core for about 10 years when ACVI comes out. Do you want your classic series to not be itself? Souls fans would feel the same if they suddenly lose their exploration & levelingn forced to make builds on the spot & play in a mission-based system like all Armored Core games. You got 5 Soulsborne games non-stop. Either learn the new curve or get out.
There is actually a parry mechanic in this gen, so I think he may have actually parried the moonlight. I think it was coffeepotato who did videos about how it works.
Soulsbourne babies: Omg Armoured Core has a parry system just like Dark Souls and Elden Ring. Copy cat! Veteran Ravens: Hold my moonlight blade boy, and see how it's done.
@@RippahRooJizah Even though the game is hard, it's really nice to you. THere's easy missions. You can restart from just before the mission you died in or restart the whole day with everything you got, so you can try, try again until you win. :D
They’d be too OP then, the strong ones can 1 shot over half the ACs in all games they are in, and they 2 shot everything else, even big bosses. I do feel you though, I wish they had a little more ammo and made the ones that don’t Instakill a little easier to use, like a bit faster windup and more range. They really do completely trivialize any AC game they are in, once you get used to them though.
@@user-vl9eo8gd7t hmmm, I’m not so sure about that. It’s way easier and faster to kill the top Arena ACs (that use any laser blade) with the parry blade while parrying them. Even against Ace and other moonlight users.
@@user-vl9eo8gd7t yes, but you also have to account for the heat as well then, if you are only looking at pure damage. As a single hit from most parry blades cause 999 heat build up on most ACs. For normal missions, the moonlight is much better to use, especially against MTs, but against ACs the parry blades can do more damage and can be more useful. (The usefulness is from why they are called parry blades. When paired with a shield, you can actually parry energy sword users with the shield, and doing so forces them to take a knee, as of they had just tried using a back cannon without OP-I, and the window is long enough to guarantee a hit with a parry blade.)
Parry blades do massive damage at close ranges. They will typically overheat an opponent AC as well, doing damage on top of the initial hit. Really, they’re most effective when used with a left arm shield. The actual parry aspect comes into play just by holding your shield out since any sword slashes are blocked by it, thereby allowing you to follow up with a parry blade attack.
@@lesslighter I checked the highest and lowest reaction speed arms and it doesnt change how fast it takes for the punch to come out. It also does not affect the cooldown time in between punches.

I'm still at AC:MoA, but I think it's time to bust some ACs from the other series. If only I had more Data to download them all. And storage T_T (A veteran from MHFU, and mastering AC1) Edit: Goodnews, I was able to get the game, and beat all of the ACs, (Including Lucifer) except Zinaida, I was trying to get to that part. (Don't know the mission pattern)
Yes, the energy shield blocking a Laser blade causes a flinch and stops their attack, forcing an opening long enough to hit them with Pile bunker (class of weapon is called parry blade)
@@richterdelgan123 it’s the same damage. Just, that it’s almost impossible to hit a moving target with them, so that’s where the shield and the parry come in. Blocking an energy sword with an energy shield, will force the enemy to drop to a knee for a sec, in a forced stagger animation like when you get parried in a souls game. There’s no increase in damage, since the high level parry blades can 1-2 shot kill already, on their own. Just the only good way to hit anything other than an AFKer is with the shield and parry stagger.
@@dangerwarg9682 i was trying myself with a psp and a vita. the AC can held up as long it have energy, and the parry don't mitigate all the damage, but it can knockback the opponent
