Due to the outro of the video being cut off at the end thanks to nearly a day of rendering with many failures. Let me write here what would have been there. I want to say a big thank you to the ravens who lent thier voices to this video, so please do check them out. Proxy Warrior: twitch.tv/proxy_warrior First Raven: www.youtube.com/@TheFirstRaven Armored Core Exile: www.youtube.com/@armoredcoreexile Rreckin Returns: www.youtube.com/@rreckinreturns As for the next video topic it will be about Jack-o.
Last Raven is the only one that pulls off the experience of being overloaded at work - frantically checking email while in one day everything you know crumbles and falls apart
Ha ha you know I liked Vaati video, respect to him for playing through the series and hands dirty. All these videos are going to shine a nice big spotlight on AC, so as an ac fan i could not be happier =)
This game never shows off the most important characters... The AC transporter and the mechanic XD Literally working a 24 hour shift to keep that AC up and running
To be fair it's the Pulverizer route 2 that's probably cannon as it's the only one where you actually become the Last Raven. Because in the Zinaida route...Jack - O technically isn't dead. He's just 'Lost"
This channel is an endless resources, a library of the past. These games that we hold dear lose meaning in time, which is why it is so important to hold on to the past. Thank you for this indepth video, sir.
@Armoredcorelore You and the others did a great job on this video. One of my favorite uploads from you, second place is your armored core 4 and for answer vids.
I am super new to AC and this is my first ever AC game. After 7~10 hours (mostly tinkering with the control and arena), this game left a huge mark on my mind for how brutally fun it really was. I am in love with the game and this video makes me love it even more. Thank you, ACL
Well it is quite the game to start with, but good on you for for taking the bull by the horn with the hardest ac game to date. I am glad to hear your having a blast with the game and that my video helped helped in making you love the game even more. It made me smile and i hope to see you in ac6!
@@armoredcorelore Oh, i was pulverized on numerous occasions and was ready to quit on any second. But something about this franchise just keeps pulling me back to the game. It's now 3AM in my country and i am still up, tinkering with emulation to play ACFA
It was quite the project let me tell you. Still the audio is a bit of a miss on this one, but i think all of the guests can be heard and I'll learn from it.
Dude, you are a godsend. You are the only one who explain the Last Raven timeline *with every Raven who died in the event you do the mission in every route* Everyone goes down until you, the only Raven who stood up against the future of the wretched world. *The Last Raven* edited : I recommend to listen this video with some ACLR BGMs, especially The Cocoon and The Nest when it hits 12 hours remaining and 3 hours remaining . It's really help you (and give you the nostalgic -existencial dread- feeling) immerse what happen in the surroundings
I think i got them all to be honest I'm not sure as after a while it all started to blend together ha ha. Sounds like an good idea to me, as i was worried about audio so no music in the video for me.
Possible solution for the mystery of secret mission/extra final ending. I think that it would take place after the Zinaida route, and the one that sent the invitation to protagonist Raven (or at the very least piloted the final Pulverizer model) was Jack-O himself. Here are the clues pointing to that scenario. 1. In the First Pulverizer Route, it is hinted that Evangel was piloting the stabby-stabby humanoid model. 2. Game established that Pulverizers were being made in Internecine of which Jack-O knew and tried to actually control the whole process. Both manufacturing and leading Pulverizers into battle using best pilots available (Dominants preferably) as pilots. 3. The whole process of Jack-O eliminating even his loyal friends for the sake of finding Dominants points to the aforementioned possibility, as killing off your own elite soldiers due to false accusations (which Jack-O made up) is working only in Alliance's favor. 4. Finally, Jack-O is considered LOST not DEAD during final hours of Zinaida Route, he also sends the final mission request to the protagonist. That makes it highly probable he was holed up in Internecine and had just enough time to get himself strapped into Final Pulverizer model, while Zinaida and protagonist Raven did all the heavy lifting in the background. Or its just a fun bonus, like fighting Stinger, Phantasma and Nineball Seraph in Another Age. :]
If it wasn't Jack-O sending the invitation, it might've been Internecine's programming last initiative before it ran out of power completely. After all, it is the red Pulverizer symbol (we see shiny blue ones on working models throughout the game) that is seen in the miniature on the mission select screen.
Jack-O's route likely involves him taking care of Evangel personally after realizing what Evangel had done and leaves both Zinaida and the Last Raven to decide who gets to be last man standing as they had been denied multiple opportunities to kill one another to prove who is the dominant
A few things strike me about this. 1. Solid collaborative work, though it could use some audio balancing. Thanks to all of you for this. 2. My god the Raven gets an insane amount done in a single day worth of time. Never mind how hard working the repair and rearm crew must be! I have to wonder how much money the Raven earned in a single (busiest day of your life!) day of work. Pre-expenses of course, because all that AP and ammo isn't going to be cheap. Come to think of it, there likely are at least 3 shifts of 'support crew' on hand working themselves to the bone. Not to mention our operator who might have gotten at most a nap or two for an hour between things. You'd think the operator and Raven are AI's or something given how they just _keep going_ at such an insane pace. 3. It's amazing just how detailed the timeline of events Fromsoft worked out for said 24 hours really is. To the point I really want to know what Ravens 'Canonically' took the job Zenida gets so upset about if you do not. For a whole lot of Ravens, we can figure they took specific jobs because of when they die and what mission we would fight them on. (Assuming they have mostly the same offers the player sees for work.) 4. I was right, the Internecine can design and send out Pulverisers at an insane rate, even if it only ever makes a new one when it's single unit is destroyed. There's 1-2 hours between Pulverizer deployments at least twice on some routes. The Internecine also seems to either hold a grudge or see the player's Raven as the best battle data, given the Humanoid legged Pulverizer's showing up so quickly after the quad leg's defeat. Could be coincidence due to them being thrown into combat zones though I suppose.
Thanks for the feedback Sorain =)The first point is on me, i did try to do some audio editing however it went from worse to bad to omg what did i do. But learning about it should be helpful in the future. As for the others, i'd hate to be on the raven team, it must be consent go in that garage and poor Sheila either lives off energy drinks and coffee or as you said has power naps between missions. The detail is deep, i mean all this in a day is quite packed and I'm sure one day we'll figure out who took what and what made Zinida such an angry raven. I honestly think a writer may have bent the rules of the creation process of the pulverisers to have the raven fight two of them back to back. Either that or the ai prebuilt both knowing Jack-o's plan.
To talk about your second point. I have a friend in the US air force and he is a maintainer, a crewman who is focused on repair and maintenance of aircraft. He told me that after his first month of being a maintainer, all the blood in his system has been replaced with caffeine, therefore explaining how they were able to get all that work done.
It must have been awful for everyone, i mean trying to go to work and suddenly ac attacking, no bombers, no a big red machine of death. You would just call in sick won't you.
As someone who loves the AC games since the good ol' PS2 days and has been a FromSoft fan since then, you and Vaati are making me so happy with how you're spreading the word of this wonderful series, and I am so excited that AC might FINALLY get the recognition I think it deserves! AC6 might finally put the series in the limelight after so long!
Oh I hope so lupin, as an ac fan I am very happy to see the surge of videos for ac now. We have a community that is talented and shows thier love for the series. Good times I hope are ahead.
I can't agree more. I have a Ps2 myself in great condition with most the ps2 Ac titles except ninebreaker and the psp titles with the exception of formula front which I have. As well as the ps1 titles.
@@armoredcorelore I wasn't even aware there was a website. I actually found this channel through another RU-vid video. If there is a website, and there is a RU-vid channel that has exactly what I'm looking for in terms of armored core content, specifically weapons, tactics, FCS nuances, etc, I'd most likely would subscribe to them to. :)
Bro thank you for making all these videos. As a long time Armored Core fan this is the best way to really get to know the games I mainly played as a kid nit understanding a single thing past ohh big mech go bang bang lol. I'm so ready for Armored Core 6 and to see where else you take us in this lore filled journey. Keep it up everyone you've reaaly outdone yourselves this time.
@@armoredcorelore I went through the same struggle as well. The difficulty is quite well deserved since near the end of the game outside of a few other pilots you are realistically the last raven after the end of the 24 hour war and dealing with the final pulverizer. However this game is somewhat forgiving in that you can restart at the check point in most missions or go back to the garage to change your setup and success/failure ratio isn't thing because again at this point of the 3rd gen timeline if you fail you die.
Oh LR holds it title as hardest game well and you right it does fight that this raven who seems to have missed the human plus train is pitted against foes they should have no chance against. But through blood, sweat and tears they become the last raven. As for me I'm off to relax ha ha.
Well i think we'll have quite the showcase of skills when AC6 is out. The battlefield will smell of burning metal and run black with the oil from fallen armored cores.
Ah a perfect timing to be a spectator for the LR explanation. I've been waiting for this, an approval time to have lunch with. My appreciation to you fellow raven
Thanks for presenting all this lore so well. You’re an excellent lore master for this series, your passion and knowledge are plain to see and it’s a joy to watch your content while killing time at work!
As a kid this is my first game of armored core on the PSP, I never liked it because it was so hard. Now that i have the emulator and experience on playing armored core 3, i can play it greatly but it's still very hard.
Oh it is. LR certainly took the So you think your good, think again approach. Mind you i will have to have a go at the psp version too for a certain raven video.
@@armoredcorelore I think it's harder in the PSP due to only having one joystick while the ps2 controller having 2 joysticks, then having small screen and the weapons being balanced.
@@mariestidola3573 its actually harder than the PS2 not because of the controls the FCS locks boxes in Last Raven portable were SHRUNKEN DOWN for the PSP so yeah thats some black magic stuff From Soft did as the AC3-SL were 1:1 you may have to look for the lock box fixes cheats if you want those to be fixed search for "Armored Core: Last Raven Portable - Lock-on Mod and AC-to-NEXT"
Armored Core and being made by FromSoft makes more and more sense the longer you think about it. I am actually excited for the reboot since the PS3 era attempt basically floundered.
I can't explain the joy finding this channel and seeing it grow as it has. You are the vaati for armored core lore and i as a long time fan playing armored core since i was like 8 or 10 renting from blockbuster, i am so happy to see armored core finally getting the attention and praise it deserves. I can't wait to see the videos you'll make on armored 6 as we all go through that game together as a community. Keep up the amazing work man!
Thank you for the kind praise. It is nice to see AC get some love after all this time and I'll be here i hope with ac6 lore as we learn it. Mind you i will have go away for a week or two to play it through ha ha.
Just a week away from AC6's release now and I'm happy to have found this video! Not sure if I count as an AC vet if I've only ever played Last Raven my whole life (thanks, 7 year old me) but it makes me happy to be all grown up to buy a more modern Armored Core game. My first ever since Last Raven too! Gonna be using this vid to get the endings I haven't got yet! Even after playing Last Raven myself for a while now since I got it again this year, I could not get half of the endings lol
I like to think we're all just lynx and ravens with different experiences =) And please do i admit it was quite the struggle you can see from my older comments i must have lost a month to this game to get all the ending and a lot of hair.
Yes fantastic after another video of armored core makes me appreciate again you being the best at actually talking about the story, broken record I'm sure but honestly you deserve so many more subs for all these.
Ok, this is one of the coolest lore videos from any franchise I've seen. It was so epic having all of the guests here tell a different side. Awesome job as always, and hopefully I can see you in the battlefield soon, Raven!
Great video, my only gripe is the audio levels being all over the place. I am very happy you are at the end of the PS2 AC but at the same time is sad because we will never return to this style of gameplay.
Thank you and that is a fair gripe i am taking this as a learning experience to learn and avoid such problems in later videos. And well there is still my to do list with a few ps2 ac items to do, so I'll be back to cover them after 5ht gen is done.
@@armoredcorelore collaborations are difficult to oversee when there are multiple parties involved. However as a RU-vid the learning never stops, cheers and congratulations on your success. I remember when your channel was on the 1k subs and now look at it. It’s on fire 👏🏼👏🏼
Well done, certainly more effort than this story deserved. If I'm not mistaken, this is the last mainline game story for you to cover until AC6 comes around, making it more fitting considering the title. As another comment stated, I did wish there was a way to determine what Ravens did whichever missions you did not choose during the paths, as well as who killed who if not by you. Sadly, the game offers little if any insight into that, and as such we could only guess. Or assume Zinaida is doing all the other kills cause the developers and storywriters favored her way too much. 6:44 - This implies the LR Raven is in fact the same from Nexus (that you can import data from Nexus also supports this theory), meaning Rim Fire's still mad about his dead dad. 1:30:13 - If we assume the Secret Ending is part of the storyline, it confirms the Aerial Pulverizer ending is canon. Jack-O is never confirmed killed in the Zinaida route (he's still "lost" when he sends you the final mission request), and Ed Weiss's after mission report, while ambiguous, implies he's still alive at the end. Regardless, good video, and kudos to all that lent their voices/aid to this.
After playing AC6, I always wonder why there always be one raven even only until after seeing this video, I have a feeling someone from fromsoft was a fan of last raven considering the concept of one raven only and honestly I really like the idea behind it and I hope it’s stay that way
Oh my this is such a lovely video that practically shines with how much effort was put in it The only issue i can find is the audio is a little off at times But nonetheless this is such a delightful video
The legend of Generation 3, and by extension, the original Armored Core gameplay formula concludes with one last war... A war that will truly test the mettle of any Raven that is willing to endure it. (Translation from what I've heard: THIS GAME IS F**KING HARD!!)
Gotta say its nice to find channels dedicated to this series since it was just recently revealed to me and i wish i had be playing it prior to AC6 (gonna try to plat AC6 while watching the video just gotta S all missions)
Holy crap! First off, you're almost at 10k; that's incredible! Do you have anything special planned to mark the occasion? And secondly, I can't wait to watch this extra-length/extra-detailed dive into Last Raven. Your content just keeps getting better and better; it makes me really happy to see you getting progressively more rewards for it! Cheers bud, keep 'em coming! :D
Thanks Bravo and honestly I haven't thought about it as I'm now working on the fifth gen stuff ha ha. Still I know a channel where I can get some laughs when I need to chill out.
@@armoredcorelore I hear ya man. Kinda kicking myself for missing your Pinned post about it >_< Question for ya and sorry if you answered this already but do you have any thoughts about the gameplay Footage Vaati recently dropped and will you be making a video about it?
@@ObsidianDragon7030 Ha ha don't be Dragon, i would have like it to have been perfect, but I'll take this vid as a learning experience and do better =) Funny enough i have not been asked about the vaati footage as i have watched the 4 minute footage we got and heard about Vaati and cowboy recreating the hub. Still my thought on it is from what i have seen it looks like a fun game, but till i get a copy in my hand i won't like to say it the best ac game ever. From the hub recreation i do feel a strong acv vibe from the game but again speculation is fun, but I'd like to play it myself before i judge. In all honest i won't be making a video as i have the lore of fifth gen to write up, footage to capture and we have so many videos about it now that i think I'll let the band wagon go by.
Will BJ really count as the lead in LR? For some reason the AC pilot on the cover only appears in VR, and you only get his head in the extra mission. Why send an AC to the cover if it doesn't add anything to the story? ah, before i thought she was zinaida
I would say artist design as last Ravens cover is pretty cool in my opinion. Apart from that unless this is what the last raven is suppose to look like after it's all over, but that's just speculation on my part.
@@armoredcorelore i mean, this raven is the player raven? Just appear in the intro, and put it just for vr arena is sad. Every ac in the face of the game (and intro) belongs to a main character or a important, think if white glint is just see in arena mode
@@unknownas9705 I hear you but honestly I can't think of a reason for this. Maybe it just the joys of video game crunch and sadly this ac was meant for more but ended up being shoved in vr because time was againest them.
@@armoredcorelore that's the point, as long as a cover ac isn't occupied by another character, I suppose it's the main character on duty, and yes, I have a habit of copying the exact design if possible (even when the game lends itself to changing pieces ) for the protagonist of the turn. AC3 examples. In ac3 I go directly to assemble the ac de crest of the intro (without the pieces that cause overweight). While in nexus, evangel is the one that appears in the intro and cover and I don't touch him, and I do more to my liking (although he does look a bit like oracle, it's just batman-like). PS: I downloaded xenia for ac4 (I need a better pc to run it well) and when I painted aalya 3 the same as where I live, I realized how "funny" it would look, I should pass it on to get an idea. good night.
Excellent work. ACLR is by far my favorite AC game because of its story, replayability, AC fights with the good ol fashioned Ps2 ACs. I only wish i could get access to OP INTENSIFY here, id love to really experiment with more builds and weapons. If anyone could help me out with that, thatd be amazing.
Thank you for the kind words. If you are emulating it, there is a forum post that gives the code and how to use them. forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Last-Raven-general-Human-OP-I-cheat-working
This is so amazing to get to be a part of. To the Ravens and Lynx of the past and future, i look forward to seeing you all in the field, and working with you all in the future!
the secret ending happens after zinaida ending why? because zinaida did nothing else other than finding the easy way in to battle us leaving the pulvarizer roam free. This way zinaida keeps her full health and peak performance to beat us to a pulp and the pulvarizer that looks like the pulvarizer 2 route one makes kind of sense maybe probably not bye
