He should contact Brian since Brian hardly knows many people in the world of arm wrestling, it would be super interesting to see them train together and teach him the necessary techniques.
@@DevilsBackbonePullers Tell Brian to watch the video and tell him to contact Coach Ray please. I think it would be very helpful for Brian before facing Eddie.
@@square7935I mean just him being inside the top 10 will make the sport better with more followers and media exposure etc. Again levan might not stay healthy for much longer with all the peda he’s taking
@@RejectHumanityReturn2Monkehe's just going to do some Expedition matches🎉 this is why Brian does🎉 him and his friend will do a fake match and hopefully get some views to the sport
Any person determined enough possibly can work his way up in armwresteling just working by this video 2 years hard work. Thx a lot big Ray the real KING of armwrestling knowledge
Id like to see Brian bring you and others out to do more youtube armwrestling content. From the looks of his most recent pull on youtube he might already be at a world level.
@@danharris2007facts. Some people it just comes more naturally. Brian definitely isn't the most intuitive but hes definitely not the worst. Hell come along nicely.
@@danharris2007Exactly, these people are use to watching these people training who's been doing it for years lmao. They need help to realize what's going on. It's this new age they need help understanding most things...
Imagine little coach Ray and giant Brian training together! lol! I am pretty sure Brian can beat Ray now even without having the best training techniques......It would be fun to watch anyway, hopefully he invites you out to train with him.
Ray man you are a beast, love the detailed explanations of each exercise. I think Brian would benefit so much from your coaching. It seems like he has so many people just throwing so many things at him and its probably to the point of having a slight negative affect on his training
I really think Brian would benefit a lot from training with Ray, he is a great coach, and i think he explains things well. Get a collab going if possible... Would be super valuable! Good job Ray! 💪
I really hate the Eddie Hall match. it means absolutely nothing. I just wish he would arm wrestle at least someone who is an established arm wrestler so we can get some sort of gauge of where he is headed. also, being a world-level grip competitor is going to be a very hard thing for Brian to break out of.
You people say this despite the fact that we have after pulling to watch lol, Brian and Eddie will either get injured in which case we wouldn't know shit even if they pulled an experienced arm wrestler, or they won't get injured and we will see them afterpull and we will know where they're at
@@kickboxerphilJohn Brazenk has difficulties pinning Brandon Alen when he gets in a kings move, ans Brandon couldn't do absolutely anything against Brian. Ofc it was left handed, but even then, it makes you think
I dont think people understand just how otherworldly Brian's strength is. So many armwrestlers seem to think he's just another "strong dude that will lose to any experienced puller" but comparing Brian to your local strongman or bodybuilder that comes to a practice is like comparing John to a decent state level puller
Not really Brian doesn't have any records🎉 you guys think Brian is some kind of superhuman and in the arm wrestling lifts we've never seen him get close to any of the top people🎉 he doesn't even bench as much as a lot of the top people🎉
@@shanemg321 records are important to people that don't follow strongman Sports and think Brian is leagues ahead of other strong men but he's not because he doesn't hold any weightlifting records and even his strong man records have been broken
It doesn't matter how much you add to your backpressure when your pronater is failing. It doesn't matter how much how much you add to your drag when your fingers and grip is failing. Well said, it's like pulling heavy trailers with a piece of string, the weakest link WILL fail.
Coach Ray, it would be interesting if you made a video training together with Brian Shaw, to be able to teach him how he should train and the precise techniques.
Great video! Good critiques and helpful for us normal people training as well. As an aside... I'd love to know where to get those cool handles Brian was using.
I think the plate grab was just because he likes doing them, and he's also one of the only people able to do it, so makes sense to include it in the videos, but awesome video I hope Brian sees this
Hey coach ray i know you are a super genius about arm wrestling and the more technical side of things can you show the style arsen lillev arm wrestled and what he did to become so explosive please and thank you
I think the problem is just how stupidly strong he is. He posted some training with branden allen. Brian just posted, and went sideways, and they couldnt stop him.
@@airgunningyup yeah you could be correct, but I think he would. The thing is, though we might not see it. He might ask people not to record it. So it could be a behind-the-scenes thing. Still it’s OK because no one’s expecting him to go out there and pin the best guys in the world lol it would be very good for him to get the experience though
Correct me if I am wrong Ray, but this sport has never had someone enter as a rookie with this type of strength, right? He has the strongest arm, strongest back and strongest grip by far. We don’t know how long his progression might take. He could be in the top 20 right now for all we know. Something like this has never happened. Brian has lifted dumbbells multiple times that way more than Levan with one hand lol. I met Brian twice. He is so nice but man it’s insane how big his arm/bicep is.
Also we saw Larry enter the sport with “this kinda strength”. Larry broke multiple powerlifting world records in multiple weight classes. Absolute elite of the elite when it comes to strength. And never really achieved anything in armwrestling.
@@UncleSauron_Armwrestling we already know hes well above larry based on brians training with brandon allen ( a guy who beat larry and got toyed with by brian
Arm-wrestler trains differently. Your method may work for you and to some it doesn’t. Devon showed his pronation lift and most experience arm-wrestler are doing it now but it’s not the same as how Devon does it.
@@prashantsinghsisodia6709 it might look similar to you but it will never be the same. Some arm-wrestler are taller and have a longer or shorter reach, and have a better range of motion.
If I had the potential and money that Shaw does, Ray and Janis has to be some of the people you look at to train you. Derek is secretly in love with the hook, Devon with outside pulling and georgians with their biceps. Imo they also fit better personality wise.
Brians potential is off the shards he is one off the strongest humans to ever walk this planet. Even at over 40 he hass plenty off time to get into armwrestling. he can probably win against alot of people just be raw power. He is not ready for the top armwrestlers for a while tho he will need alot of practice alot of armwrestling time on the table so hee gets the technical part of armwrestling right.
Coach Ray is one of the most knowledgeable armwrestling trainers, no doubt. But I think for a guy as new as Brian is, his trainers are mainly just getting him to start doing things. Like if someone was new to working out, you just tell them to get under some weight with safe technique and lift it without worrying about being perfect yet. I think they're also a bit intimidated by him - it's hard to tell him he "should" be doing something else when he just threw you across the room. At some point Brian will find this invaluable.
Many sports have coaches that weren't world beaters, yet their knowledge and application of it in coaching other athletes brought them to the top. Happens in every sport.
You gotta think if anyone is gna even get a round against Levan, it’s Brian Shaw. I think obviously Brian is a couple years from being able to challenge him but if keeps training, and Levan hasn’t completely wrecked himself with all the gear, Brian would be a good challenge for him. Because right now, no one is even close.
@@assman7218 Yes a couple years. And of course Shaw is on gear as well. But what Levan is taking is beyond toxic. His destruction will happen well before Shaw.
@@papabilby8855 Haha okay, you wouldn't be the first delusional fanboy saying that. And dude, nobody knows the amount of gear arm wrestlers are taking (I don't give a crap of Larry Wheels reaction to Levan's supposed gear amount, because coming from an extremely roided guy like Wheels it doesn't count for me). I don't really believe any of them is more toxic than the other. All of them are taking gear, so all of them are in danger.
@@assman7218 Levan said exactly what he is taking. You dont have to guess. And there absolutely is a “healthy” way to do it. It’s all unhealthy and dangerous. But what Levan is taking specifically is not only toxic but extremely toxic. And I’m not exactly how I’m “fanboying”. Just stating facts.
Brian has more going on than he's showing. Just because the stuff he releases moght not look perfect, he's doing better than we think. Everyone jumping on the band wagon trying to get views etc using Brians name.
That's the thing, brian is already strong no doubt, if someone guides him he will break every aw lift there is, but the question is can he use those strentgh in a table?
i think what Brian needs the most is weekly table time with guys who are stronger than him, but god damn find a guy who will play with Brian on the table
With or without proper technique, he will win. And after a shortwhile, no one below a certain weight, lets say 90 KG wont be able to touch him. Does not matter how much technique they have.
It's one thing to see the coreect technique but other thing to execute it properly. I think he just doesnt have the mind-muscle connection which is weird ig because he is a strongman but ig thats a bit different
DONT AGREE W/ All These People Saying "a few years maybe"... : Brians Body Has ALREADY Been Trained & Stretched & Put thru the HIGHEST Levels Of Resistance & Challenges & Recovery!!! ; YES he can work on 'Table' Specific Movements & Muscles and Needs Devon,.. MMT,.. or maybe some Retired Pro's to TEACH him & train w/ him the TECHNIQUES & Table Time,... But Within ONE Year This Dude Could Be Top 5!!!! I think people still involved Dont WANT Him To Get Involved NOW Bcuz he will prob. put most of them to shame!!! ; ) ONLY Levan,.. Vitaly,.. Jerry,.. guys in That Weight Class would beat him Rt Now,.. ONLY bcuz of experience!!! ; Give him 1 FULL YEAR of Table Time & serious training and they're ALL in trouble ,.. bcuz he's Massive - Tall - 400 Lbs and SMART,... Dedicated.... A world champion!!! Brian needs some guys who will COMMIT To Him like he's willing to , & BELIEVE In Him & Have His Back!!!
top 5? the delusion is crazy, strongman does not use the same muscles as armwrestling, not to mention table time and experience for manipulating the hand which brian would get destroyed. He will need at least 3 years to get any serious match.
