www.myarmtv.com I have had the unique pleasure of following the Great Cobra Rhodes for many years. Here is a montage of some of his great matches throughout the last five years. Cheers Cobra. Sincerely, Gary Roberts
To the idiots on here, you do not have to be better than m. Jordan to be a legend in basketball and the same goes for arm wrestling. This guy is a legend in the sport based on what his peers and those that document the sport say. His toughness and work ethic are second to none. He is in my top 20 and his weight I have him top 5
This is one of the coolest dudes ever , he lived for the sport , he was at every tournament and didn't act like Mr Billy Badass cause he was Mr Billy Badass!
You are an amazing competitor cobra and the best part is you didn't feel the need to be 300 lbs to be one of the best. I like seeing the smaller guy destroying these big guys. You are a legend brother
Why does it even matter what size you are, if you go from 260 with a fat muscular body, like a marshmallow man but hard, and then you stay strong and still train but don't eat as many calories, your strength will stay the same no matter what weight you're at, to a certain extent. You do lose a little, but if you do it correctly it should be very minimalistic. I like seeing all people pull myself. It's all good.
A real champion in the extension of the word!!! A true athlet with mystic in his own life and style (saw the TV show "armbattle" ,and he is suoerb a great gentleman as well!!!). BRAVO!!!, here one of his fans in S. America!!!
Fast reactions, experienced, deeo knowledge, the stare, strong muscle, bone, tendon, sportsmanship, the look, holistic, supporter. a legend, humble. Should be a movie Cobra. He pulls like a young Brzenk Fast & Furious.
Any video that makes me flex my hands, fidget and squirm to the edge of my seat throughout the entire thing deserves my thumb up. I gave this video a thumb up.
He used to live in Indiana and has been to a couple tournaments.Hes a great armwrestler and has competed in yukonjack tournmanets as well and I cant remember how many times but many time champion. He was about 170 then and very strong and a real cool guy as well.I would definitely list him as a legend of the sport
I don't know how Cobra hasn't suffered about 50 arm breaks in his career. He obviously has some strong bones. This video only shows a few of them..but I have seen the guy pulling from some very uncomfortable and totally scary positions more times than I can count.
Once you train hard for at LEAST a year, and use table time to your advantage, your tendons and muscles get way stronger. After a while you AIM to practice in uncomfortable positions to be ready for any puller on the map. At any given time. Never try this unless you've conditioned correctly.
@@johnbraucher1499phew! That’s almost how hardcore climbing training is, you should prepare your tendons before you use a hangboard for about a year before anything too crazy like hanging from tiny edges with added weight
This SOB held his own with a 300lb man Jerry big daddy caddorete yes ofcourse hes a fucking legend can't even find the video anywhere else besides these small clips in this one amazing
cobra is a Inspiration.he is a fighter,he just dont want to give up.i would fear to pull 2 armwrestlers...brzenk and rhodes.both are extreme strong minds.
Devon has a stronger mind than both put together. His background says it all if you can find information look it up on Devon larratt the guys been through it all and has the potential to kill everyone in the room at any time but chooses not to. As Micheal Todd said "lucky for us Devon smokes weed or he'd kill us all".
@ANTREAShbo Its a mouth piece so he can grit his teeth without messing them up. Similar to what boxers or football players wear. Some weight lifters wear them as well.
This fuckin guy is cooler than the other side of the pillow, and so smooth he could slide uphill. Just recently discovered him and his amazing body of work
Gary 💪▶️✌ you & Cobra go way back. You truly have an amazing collection of footage & History with these men I hope you get a chance to share all the men and women who helped grow " LOVED & believed in this sport over the years. .
@@armtv - I don't know what time period is Cobra's heyday of domination exactly. Like from the late 80-90s, I suppose. Videos from as early as 2003 sounds awesome. 👌 I remember Cobra and Neil Pickup talking about it on Neil's podcast.
No more than normal, lol. In some cases, certain quick moves causes a sharp pain down your upper arm......and it hurts like hell. But, also, he sometimes had aggravating injuries, and shouldnt have been pulling, but decided to anyways. One time he had broken ribs and still tried to pull. Usually, the injuries werent super serious, and not super frequent, really.
@Craig Laycox Just check a lot of the recent tournaments. There's Jodi Williams, a few strong Africans (names hard to remember lol)....I see a lot of them because I follow a lot of the top and upcoming arm wrestlers on fb. Talked to a lot of them as well. I'm gonna interview a few arm wrestlers in the near future.
Black guys are not into the sport, it's a culture thing. And it's not just black guys, Asians, Polynesians, Latinos all don't armwestle either (mostly). The sport is mostly a white thing so far.
I couldn't find anything here that makes him a legend. John brzenk, for example, who is equally considered as a legend of AW can break this stereotype in 1/10 of a second.
25 years that makes him a legend.. Has won many titles and tournaments in his weight class. You are watching him go outside of his weight class and comfort zone to challenge himself.
@T Virus tendons need at least 3-4 years to get used to "armwrestling loads" cause our body is designed to lift the weight for example but not designed to push sideyways (no matter how hard you try to pull and not push you will probably have to push at some point). so if Hall practises for 3-4 years-sure he can beat pro armwrestlers
@@luminairist I don't know his name but the videos are on RU-vid somewhere. I saw them the other month. Some bald brother smoked him twice a couple of years apart from both matches
Black people are under-represented in this sport. That's a fact. I don't get it though. They are very good at running, whether long distance or sprinting. Isn't this kinda like sprinting, only with your arms? Endurance is definitely a factor, but Blacks are very good at that too. What gives? P.S. This is a sincere question, so Please, no racist replies.
yidy1 hes very strong and conditioned. Good genetics for sure and just plain old fashoned hard work and training. For his size and weight class hes one of the best ever. His hand control os also out of this world. Great hands.
Sam Harris is the current champ in his weight division for the WAL league, and has been for a while. There's always been some black guys who are the absolute top of the sport. Through the 70s 80s 90s... Which is very statistically surprising... since not many black people arm wrestle, as far as it's generally not their scene, and just the percentage of black people at all in such participating countries, is not all that many compared to all the white US pullers, and all the asians and europeans. So it's pretty surprising that from the very few, some have been the best of their time. But as far as just regular lower level competitors, there's still a good number of black people in the sport.
John has taken on a great number of guys way bigger than him. He is the true legend! This guy might be the best in his weight class, but he clearly can't compete against heavier guys. Period.
Piero della Francesca brzenk was old. His doctor prescribed him testosterone therapy. But that amount was nowhere near the amount of steroids those people take
He was never a strong opponent he was just a fast starter and when you gain the leverage in the start you become twice as strong against your opponent. great technique but skill driven not strength given. if he gets caught he generally will lose to the stronger opponent.
