‼ PLEASE READ ‼ Hey yall! I don’t normally ask for anything but if yall are able to and willing I would really appreciate it if you could donate to this GoFundMe! It’s for my ex-girlfriend Chloe, we’ve remained good friends over the years, and right now she’s fighting a really tough battle with chronic pancreatitis, among other health issues! It’s changed her life significantly and she’s only getting worse, it pains me to see her like that, she can’t walk anymore, she can barley keep food or water down, she’s resorted to eating honey packets because that’s all she can hold down most days if at all! Any donation would mean the world to me and to her and her family! Thank you all in advance! ❤ www.gofundme.com/f/donate-to-help-get-chloe-to-the-mayo-clinic-in-fl?member=31994899&sharetype=teams&+share-sheet&
I would ADD pack your mind set, pack your positive attitude, you think you can do this???, " think again it's hard NOT for the weak minds,.. my son 22 y/o extremely physical fit with 5 years gym experience, his mindset BROKE!!!... not sure if he will continue :( it's a sad realty, this new generation is not made to last, and that's a scary thought,... my advice as a father is you find yourself in this hole of doubts, REFOCUS, ADJUST, QUITTING IS NOT AN OPTION!!.. at the end of the day you don't want to disappoint your love one's that are home cheering for you!....
My experience in the late 90s they gave me a packing list and my mom spent like 200 bucks on it and none of it was used. It all got locked away because it was the wrong kind as I was told and then I had to run with that heavy ass bag up and down the hills in Fort Jackson, if I could do it again, I would’ve brought nothing but my clothes, my birth certificate, and paperwork. And there were no cell phones so that would’ve been a non-issue. The army will literally give you everything else.
My son just left for basic in Fort Moore this month. I set him up with everything on the given list. Including extra here at home to send when he ran out. 1st week in at Reception, they had them all REBUY everything on the list. Gave them all an Amex from their first paycheck. Not sure why. He has 6 locks now….😂what a waste
I just turned 30 last month. I have had an immense lack of purpose for the longest time. I’m going to talk to a recruiter tomorrow to get some more information. But in my mind I’m set on finally committing to something meaningful in my life. I’ve looked over some MOS’s interested in infantry/cavalry scout. If anyone has had a similar situation/ advice that’s served I would appreciate it.
Yooo bro congrats on the graduation! Question tho I’m about to sign my 11x contract what are the odds I get 11b? ngl thats really the only one I wanted lol
i leave for basic training Sep 3rd im going to fort Jackson, i was going to take a couple envelopes and stamps to write letters i was wondering if that is okay to take
What a shame the military is today. When I went t to Boot Camp, the first thing we got issued was a Bucket. Then we were issued “everything “ on today’s packing list.
Shipping out in a couple of days and I'm taking basic toiletries, one shirt , one jeans and my ass up. What I've seen, every other thing is given / purchased there. And of course important things like IDs ,debit card and documents. Gonna lock the debit card lol. This we'll defend.
Prior service question (well was a direct commission in the AF)…a. Do prior service bay up with the rest or do they have them separate from the pack (bay wise). B. Can I bring my own boots if I wear them at reception? Sounds like a “no” but just curious.
any prior service gets their own bay, even those switching mos get to be in a bay with other prior service individuals. and they got their phone in the bay at all times and get to order food and such to the bay and got to have protein etc
Depends on where you go. We had a prior service guy from the Air Force he was an E5 they made him do the same things we did sleep in the same bay as we did. They didn’t give him any special privileges or treat him any differently. Now if you are switching MOS that’s different you’ll stay with what is called the MOS-T’s in a whole different barracks you’ll be called by rank rather than call a trainee etc
I really wish that RU-vid existed back in 1985!!! When I packed for basic training, I packed EVERYTHING plus the kitchen sink in a large suitcase!!! Talk about OVERPACKING!!! This was before shoes were actually made specifically for running and my shoes sucked !!! I had to drag that d@mned suitcase up two flights of stairs at reception and then to the barracks at the battalion. It didn’t have wheels so it sucked… it was a heavy, old school suitcase. Then it got locked up in a room and I didn’t see it for 8 weeks. Pack light, you won’t need most of it!
howdy! i leave for basic and AIT in about 3 weeks, and i want to ask you about AIT and the 68W position as a whole. i’m a 68W too, and wanted to ask how you enjoyed your time in the position? Also! I have my documents in a leather folder to keep up with it… is that allowed to take along with books?
hey Ben can you get some info on the future soldier prep course and make a video on that.. i will have to go there before basic and there isn’t many videos on what it’s really like
I just got back from usmc bootcamp few days ago I was told not to bring anything but my documents and clothes on my back they supplied us with everything we needed like hygiene and running shoes etc. or we bought it at recruit px
Would stuff like underwear or socks be considered "civillian" that they'd take away? I've got some full coverage underwear that I love and would absolutely bring a few pairs to basic if I could use them.
I just graduated infantry osut from Fort Benning ( Moore) last thursday, even if we brought underwear and socks in reg we couldn’t use it until after we completed basic.
i’m wondering once basic training is done i know you get to go home for a little bit after graduation to chill and see family and friends but im wondering for how long? is it a few days or a week?
No you’ll go to the troop store anything a DS or SDS calls out you keep if they don’t call it it’s trash plus if you break in your boots good enough and take care of your feet you won’t need it
I enjoy the vids brother thanks to you and aaron battley i took the steps to enlist made an 87 on the asvab im waiting to go to meps now i want to enlist as 11b and i have been getting into rucking to prepare myself for osut and then ranger school and rasp. one thing i have not had a solid answer on yet is am i able to bring my own socks as long as they are the same color as the issued ones and no logos
How will I be able to bring my phone with me? Do I just take it with me when they go through my bag or like how does it work since you’re allowed to have your phone now
I'm not rlly good and smarts in highschool but more smart in destroying stuff and outside like worth ethic is yhe possibility of passing asvab good or bad
I really have bad ingrown hairs when I shave can I bring my chemical nair???( if you don’t know what it is it’s a painless chemical that can remove unwanted hair anywhere on your body)
@@aidanrochester4537 oh I know what you mean. That female product. I’m not sure I ship to basic at the end of May. I know they require to shave regardless
There are washers and dryers….dont pack your whole life and bring it to BCT because they will laugh and you and you will be required to carry the stuff you brought plus the stuff they give the choice is yours on that one good luck tho!
@@aidanrochester4537 you can bring a debit or credit card and you can bring cash if you want but doing BCT you won’t be able to spend that cash at all so there’s really no point to bring it. Keep everything on your debit card. When I went to basic we had guys that brought $100 plus dollars and they ended up getting it stolen. So there’s no point to bring cash if you can’t spend it doing BCT. The only thing you’ll use is your eagle cash card or debit card.
If you don’t bring it up they don’t know about it. The only thing they truly look for is Mental health, Broken Bones and just major stuff. You should be good. 🤙🏽
