Joshua Avery honestly I don’t think it’d work anywhere else....these are soldiers in football pads and their in the best physical condition of anybody in college sports so they have athletes that make this system work. The speed at which they run this offense makes it very hard to defend. And their pace keeps the ball away from the opposing offense. The use time of possession as a defensive strategy and it works to perfection
@@12sk8erdude - No, they're physically inferior to just about any but the worst FBS teams. Teams like New Mexico State and Umass may have less physical talent. The offense takes incredible coordination and timing. You need smarty-pants to run it, which is why the service academies can do it. BYU could also run it if they go all-mission players.
Because Michigan is much faster than Army, Army concentrated their efforts between the tackles, just pounding the crap out of the 4-2 and 3-3 front with super quick hits for the most part. Excellent strategy.
They don’t have the most skilled players so the triple option offense slows the game down let’s you control the clock. They can’t score as much or as fast. Cancels out the skill cap between them. Michigan has a bunch of 5 star talent and army has walk ons and 2 stars.
