Slot's ways bode well. We'll still need reinforcements in 2-3 positions, possibly more if players leave or if contract negotiations to the 3 key players stall...
FSG is the obstacle! If they had any ambition, they’d buy more decent players for Klopp when he was outperforming the squad he had and was going to finals of Europa League and league cup first season he arrived! They consistently under deliver on transfer market and lead Liverpool to break by 2022-23! We tried three times to face Real Madrid and look at our midfield vs Madrid midfield!! How are you going to compete with City and Madrid when you had Henderson, Milner as your main midfielders and no backup for Mane, Salah or anyone. Short on CB, RB, DM, RW, LW … Top clubs buy top players, Liverpool sifts through bargain bin for deals! You can get good results with an good team, but in a 64 match season, you’ll get stuck sometimes and don’t have that extra quality to breakthrough and that’s the difference between a top club and one that wants to finish in top 4 like Arsenal! Liverpool are going to be the new Arsenal of 2006-2016. FSG is an American business. At least an Arab sheikh or Russian oligarch would actually enjoy football and have pride in his team winning!! These guys are just looking and profit margins! 🤷♂️
The FSG model is to improve the club and wait for its value to increase. They are doing that, they have made a huge amount of money since they bought it. It’s like flipping a house. Buy it, fix it up and then when it’s at peak value sell for huge profit. Or simply have a huge asset on your portfolio. They are less concerned with making profits year on year. They take the money made and reinvest it in the club. They have upgraded the stadium, the training ground, the youth set up is better than ever. These are all things that improve the clubs value and long term make us more money to invest back into the club.
Whilst still keeping with the high energy & aggressive press with 1/2 touch passing attacking actions in the opposition half there will be a far more patient build up from defence to attack whilst in possession. Hense why it'll be important to sign another ball playing CB preferably a left footed 1 to replace Matip who was superb with the ball at his feet. Van Den Berg looks like he'll be given a chance in pre season but if he isn't so comfortable in possession then he'll need to be sold & a LCB will definitely need to be signed. Matip has gone & that's 1 play making CB gone, Van Dijk is now 33 so he'll only have maybe 2 more years after this season at the top level if he renews his contract. Gomez & Quansah are both very comfortable & progressive with the ball at their feet as is Van Dijk, especially with his long range passes. Konate will need to be a little more comfortable imo when in possession all are right footers. Looking at a Hincapie/Inacio/Hancko or even Colwill if Chelsea do need to sell will be a priority. Interms of the DM l think is less concerning as Endo will be rotated due to his age, he's underatted when in possession & will keep the ball ticking over nicely whilst we build an attack. Bajcetic if his fitness issues are behind him is a tremendous prospect & has height at 6'1 which is an advantage aswell. An ex CB too he'll be very comfortable in dropping in between the 2 CB's in the build up phase. 1 other other option who is being Iver looked is Tyler Morton who really caught the eye when he first broken into the squad & was brilliant in the 2 champions league games against AC Milan away & FC Porto at home where he set up Salah for a goal. He did well on loan at Blackburn & was even better at Hull where he really thrived in a DM role. Very comfortable in possession with superb passing range, with a good engine & tackling ability.
can't fanthom why no one else is talking about Tyler Morton, he did really well when he was given his chances under klopp and performed in his 2 spells on loan, like you've just said..
@@francisfisher7716Because when you do a deepdive into his style he’s not a proper 6, it worked out in the championship but wouldn’t in the premier league. He’s similar to Curtis jones and would be the 8 in a double pivot which we have plenty of depth in already. If we even play with a double pivot since Slot often changes formation, in a 433 as a lone 6 Tyler wouldn’t work at all because of the lack of strength and agression, defensive abilities. It’s like playing Curtis as our 6, none of us really want that do we.
@@francisfisher7716 Elliott, Quansah, Bradley all had successful loan spells at Championship level or lower & stepped up brilliant at senior level for Liverpool. Morton & Carvalho were both exceptional for Hull in the championship last season & I'm sure that they can take their chance in pre season with both hands to be another 2 options for Slot to confidently count on for next season
@@francisfisher7716Morton as a rotation player yeah maybe but not as a starter. The number 6 position is one of the if not the most important position in football. Morton laks physical abilities to dominate in that position. There is no doubt that we need a new defensive middfielder.
Its about meantaing the ball looking to score and winning being strong working to win weather its jota.or Nunez Salah.or Trent Alexander.or other strikers who ever the board bring in
Arné knows this is not gonna be an easy job. That's a start. But he's got the passion, the guts and the grit required to do an excellent job...And that's rich, for me. I'm gonna be patient in my expectations. I'm fully in support of young players coming up and challenging the old guard to step up too and lead from the front. Salah could give us a great valedictory year of excellence and help attract more brilliant young players from abroad who would welcome the opportunity of a Liverpool pedestal to rise into world reknown like has Salah! Interesting times ahead. And for Liverpool's football...this means more!
I Want Liverpool to be the best and that singing the right players Weather its strikers midfielders defenders I hope Michael Edward bring in the right I want Livetpool to the best in the world strikers who Can score
Spent €500m over the last 4 seasons of which €300m in the last 2. This myth about us ‘not spending’ is bullshit, just because we don’t splash our money everywhere and spend €250m a summer doesn’t mean we don’t make signings. Transfer window is open for a long time, euros aren’t done yet which impacted signings f.e. player negotiations, we’re known for making our signings towards the end of the window which now makes sense since Slot has to assess his group of players in order to find out who/what we need.
Bro what are you talking about the only time they splashed big money on players was on vvd and alisson and nunez and only vvd and ali worked out they never actually spent money on proved good world class players i mean they dont even spend enough on wages which is a big problem because it stops us from actually buying world class youngsters because their salary is more than our highest paid who is just earning only 300k thats like too low they are stingy owners i mean last season we needed an actual good dm who wouldve filled in the gap left by fabinho immediately yet they went for a 30 year old I'm pretty sure fsg stinginess played a big part in klopp leaving we couldn't get Bellingham and they didnt even go for rice and they bid 105 mil for caicedo because they obviously new he was already going to chelsea which is why they bid late because they knew he would reject and people will think they actually wanted to spend big we currently have no salah replacement but they dont care because they are probably gonna use elliot as the excuse for not buying a salah replacement they will probably say hes ready to be the main rw 🤦♂️ they are not smart spending klopp just knew how to develop players well. klopp saved them which is why we were bad under the former manager before klopp #fsgout @Larsd69
@@Larsd69the transfer window isn't that long the euros is about to end and they literally said they would be opportunistic in the window 🤓 meaning that they don't really plan on making any signings arsenal have already gotten a class cb united have gotten a class striker chelsea just signed a bunch of wonderkids and probably the next Ronaldinho aston villa have gotten a brilliant lb and who have we gotten huh us so called goodly managed club in transfers how are we supposed to be a big club when we barely buy class players like madrid I can't even see us competing with city and arsenal next season and united might even be back to normal because they are also in talks with de ligt like bruh these owners need to go
Well he’ll probably need to re think his st options now it looks likely that Nunez will be serving a ban of some sort probably for a significant chunk of the season, rough man was really looking forward to seeing Darwin in his system aswell
When we won the title in 2019/20 we had a mentality of being able to score one and sit on it without playing risky football and thereby seeing the game out, what changed? Intensity is our identity = rubbish
Are you scared because Manchester United bought De Ligt? Much good buying Varane and Casemiro did them. Let Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes work. They know what they're doing. Even if they fail and make mistakes, they could lose their jobs and their credibility. All we fans lose is bragging rights on the internet. Do you remember that Klopp only bought a teenage Marko Grujic in his first transfer window? I'm assuming you have far more knowledge and skin in the game than the people actually tasked with doing the job of improving the club and the team? And I'm sure we random fans on the internet have far more information on the transfer market and agents and player profiles than the people whose jobs is literally buying players? Just chill and let them work. You should already be running your own football club with all the knowledge you have.
@@KayZenShoGün yo I didn't even read all of this I trust the club to do best because it is the 5th choices no one is looking at work are gems. I agree 100% that we'll be good just that I didn't finish the rest of my statement
@@KayZenShoGün Do Edwards/Hughes really know who sign for Slot? Last he made a copy paste on Dortmund and had help from Klopp. They knew what Klopp needed to win against big teams..
Pace merchant, great presser, inconsistent in the final third, great dribbler without end product… basically a worse Lucho. We need someone on the right to deliver actual G/A
@@kumarreaturaj9873 We’d have to break our salary system for him which would cause more problems. He’s asking ridiculous wages which would make him our top earner alongside Mo, Virgil and Trent. As much as I want to see him in a Liverpool shirt, it’d be suicide financially and would cause other players to ask for more aswell.
sell nunez, replace him sell diaz, replace him sell Tsimikas, replace him sell some of those coming back from loan to facilitate the CB sell jota and gakpo aswell icl, Salah is the only forward worth keeping
@@christiandawit612 reality will hit hard when it is last day of the window, Salah and VVD looking like running down their contracts, chuckle brothers still occupying lw and st and no signings whatsoever hahahaha
