I was at a show, Arnez was performing, I was rollin' 🤣. I had been drinking and as Arnez left the stage and exit through the crowd I wanted to tell him how much I enjoyed his performance, and I kind of startled him, (thinking security was coming), but this cool brother just said, "Thank you, brother.", smiled and kept it moving. This was 15 years ago. I would never approach a comedian or performer (unless I knew him) these days! Lol.

I think comics beef because they think they are funnier but can't get on show with that comic to prove it. And even if they do then usually it's a smaller show and only the people there will know it. Then it's a handful of very big acts so it's a battle with the peers you're around to get to that level. The constant road grind seeing the same faces and whose headlining and years of that can make some people bitter or jealous. And I could be totally wrong but the only comic from his era that I can think of with that type of energy (fast comedy, funny walking, falling down) is Steve Brown.
