Bax is the Anglo "Sibelius"----stand alone approach, serious mood and captivating all at the same time .

Oh yes -- The "Anglo Sibelius" is most appropriate . Both are unique .

I am so lucky to have been introduced to Bax by the late Vernon "Tod" Handley when he led the Guildford Phil'. Golden days, and happy concert memories. I thought I knew Bax well, but this is new to me

Some of the most beautiful music ever. The dream-like theme at 7:35 is transcendent. I know about comparisons of Bax to Sibelius and even Shostakovich (I don't hear that one at all), but Bax had his own voice.

Another wonderful example of "Jack" Thomson's Bax. Thanks for posting

A small part, but I just love sudden moments of brightness in Bax's music like at 10:12. There's a similar moment in his 3rd symphony.

Directed toward the darker, sometimes brooding -- large use of lower voices -- Bax must be kin to Sibelius . The results are moving, strong -- satisfying the soul .

Those that enjoy Bax, I invite you to listen to my first symphony. It's my Bax tribute symphony.

I knew i saw that scenery somewhere before, skyrim is so beautiful, depicting somethings so common yet the style is un- debatable wherever I see it, you can just tell it's from skyrim. not just any game that one.
