Just imagine how other competitors must have felt like standing next to him on stage. It must have been like trying to look manly next to Zeus himself.
@@khav11 He was never 6’1 he’s always been 5’9 now that he’s older he’s 5’7 I know this because I met guys that met Arnold and they are taller then him 5’10 to 5’11 and they are taller then Arnold they showed me pics next to him
absolutley top class vid mate, i can remember when me and my dad used to watch the conan films, this song always stuck in my head... even when i went to gym i used to have it stuck in my head while i thought to myself ''someday ill be like arnold... someday.'' truely inspirational, long live king arnold! :)
the BEST thing u did was put CONAN music in here!!!!!!!!!! i love it!!! thank you so much!!!! 5:25 looks awesome!!! they should make a statues like hat!!!
I used to train to this soundtrack - awesome music to pump up to!!! Arnold - awesome check those peaks at 2.10 ! Those guys in this video ( zane, colombo , robinson ) were the pioneers of bodybuilding - what an awesome time it must have been ...
I feel the reason Franco and Arnold worked so good together is that there was no competition with each other (True Competition) these two were in seperate categories for bodybuilding
I love that pic at 4:14. Unreal. And anyone who doubts Arnold's achievements, aesthetically he beats the shit out of ANY modern bodybuilder. Built, defined, not overly massive legs. Tapered, narrow waist. Etc, etc. Yes he took steroids. But he also worked his ass off to graft arguably the finest physique of all time, and use fame from that to become a movie star, politician and more. The man is a juggernaut in whatever he does, and you HAVE to respect that.
you said it perfectly, Arnold had a small bone structure but a rather wide frame and when he was on season he weighed around 220 but had the illusion that he was 250.
I've been lifting for the last 13 years, and I can say the following is true: (1) Supplements now are better than they were when Arnold was building. (2) Range of motion during any type of resistance workout will determine the overall shape/proportion of the body. (3) People who look at themselves in the mirror and note the areas that need improvement are the ones who get the best results. Arnold was a true artist and sculptor in his time. People are bigger now, but Arnold is proportional.
Back when bodies had narrow waist lines. I hate the bloated abs of today's body builders. These guys did it right. And of these giants of body building no one did it better than Arnold. Not only as a competitor, but as a charismatic leader of the sport! One of a kind and my idol in all things. As he said, you can apply his teachings to do anything, be it in business or any other worthy pursuit.
Look at all the torn benches, poor equipment, rusty dumbells and poorly lit and ventilated gyms he trained in. He didn't need top class 100 dollar a month gym memberships, spotless machines or air conditioning and he still trained 4 hours a day and was the best in the world. Keep that in mind the next time you feel your gym isn't "good enough".
@Mrmoc7 . Firstly, it seems that searching for alternative views to arguments will benefit you more than me. . Secondly, in order to make progression in a discussion,I find it useful to deal with relevant points before taking another direction. You were asked an easily answered question to which a yes or a no followed by your alternative source would suffice . Thanks in advance!
Damn, I read it up and you're right.. I guess I always thought he was the real deal because I liked him as an actor and I sometimes saw him as a role model. Nonetheless, he made a huge impact on bodybuilding, how to lead a healthy lifestyle and how to reach the goals you set.
Why was Arnold so (and still is) legendary? His physique is very good but there was a lot of good talent in his time, lots who could be right there and beat him. so why did he always win? What was his edge
yes ronnie is thicker and much more dense but what people forget is arnold is 6,2 tall and to pack that much muscle on his frame is not easy. if arnold was about now with all the gear available to present day bodybuilders you would have a monster on our hands . Can you imagine the size of his guns and chest .Personally give me arnolds look every time
hello im shamon. i want to gain muscle mass what foods should i eat. should i eat junk food and should i eat calories. i want to put on an extra 20 kg of muscle plz help me
the second song is brother or nutshell by alice in chains they are one of my fav bands but lil wierd for an arnie clip oh by the way how good does lou look in the movie love you man he still looks way fit !!! more so than the great arnie !!
im 14 and i weigh 137lbs and 5'10 (scrouny ik) when i bench more than my body weight i just bring my arms to a 90 deggres angle or less and then bring it back up, is this a bench?if so i bench 165
The amount of work required to get muscles that big while while maintaining such ridiculously low body fat is just insane! But i guess thats why he was the best.
@Solowizard he picked maria shriver because she was rich, famous, but most importantly, a member of the kennedy dynasty. arnie knew the best way to propell his acting carreer, popularity and political carrer was to marry someone with connections with the american goverment. you got to give arnie credit, he knew EXACTLY what to do in life to get ahead.
@TrentSki80 The greatest feeling you can get in the gym or the most satisfying feeling you can get in the gym is pump.Let's say you train your biceps , blood is rushing to your muscles and that's because of the pump. *don't understand * can explode any minute.
@Hromovik If you can do more weight doesn't mean anything, its about how you can build your muscles. I see guys at the gym lifting extremely heavy weight but they don't have definition. Arnold was all about definition. He treated his body like it was a piece of art. He would work certain areas of his body to define it. Lifting extremely heavy weight doesn't make you a body builder, its how you represent it as a piece of art.
IMO best bodybuilder ever, sure other guys are bigger but I just am yet to see another guy with as spectacular overall body as his. Arnie practically put it on the map. I have been in gym 4 years, i'm 23 and can only dream of putting in that much hard work and effort to acheive his results, of course with a litle vitamin S lol!!! music is from conan the barbarian soundtrack, although the first song is slightly different to the soundtrack version I have... weird..
part 3:27 EPIC I've never seen such genetics on a bodybuilder ever in my life. Even in today's bodybuilding, 30 years of steroids manufacture, supplement science, diet theories and training techniques and advancements, are still trivial when faced with 2 million years of F* EVOLUTION. What was given to this man was the output of Nature, a natural born monster, that steroids, supplements and training can never do.
