I was running a 23T pinion with stock electronics and max punch setting at the time. Lipos were older Hobbystar 4s hardpacks packs from RCJuice. Tires come down to preference. I'd recommend not going too heavy. The Duratrax are good wheels, but the glue beads are notorious for coming undone. About to try some Proline MX58's soon. The 8s dboots Backflips are smaller, but one of my favorites. This is an older video. My K8s is a completely different animal now. 😎💪👊👊

Hey Joseph 👍. I vent all my tires whether they're belted or not. My thinking is it keeps sand, silt, dirt, and water from jacking the foams and throwing the wheels off balance. I like the Duratrax wheels, but they add 1.5 lbs 👀. They're also a bit stiff and bouncy. Not saying they're bad, but not perfect either. 🍻😎💪👊👊

I'm still not sure what happened with the power cut out 🤔. Definitely a bit concerning. It seemed to happen just after leaving the ramp. I later felt like my brake didn't respond at one point 😱. Proline trenchers and Proline Mashers have been good to me with that power. I'd turn down punch some with that 2028 1100kv though. Motor is a monster.

Rich Duperbash yes yes. They really have to go with metal shock towers. The structure has to be 100% metal to metal. I like how my Losi DBXle has a flat chassis brace to reinforce the chassis. I’ve skied it plenty and never any issues.

The 2.5 mill I got from Gravity RC came with a blunt tip syringe that draws up and makes loading the cup easy👍. I put most of it in the cup first, then pressed the spider gears down. I'll usually use a heat gun or space heater to heat the fluid and help settle it in the cup. 😎💪👊👊

@@mikeinvegas1 there's lots of options and opinions out there. Graphene packs are ideal, but higher C rated, high mAh hardpacks get the job done. I can't speak of stuff I haven't tried myself. Visit the Facebook ARRMA 8s page. Lots of feedback on different options. 👍

I haven't ran the Badlands, but these are much lighter and only 1/2 the price. The heavier you go, the crappier the handling plus more overall stress on the truck 😎💪👊👊

Thanks so much Chris 🤗!!!! There's lots of ways to look at it really 🤔. Plastic/composite chassis's can be incredibly durable, to their breaking point. One big drawback is driveshafts bending. The ARRMA 3&4s rigs solved that issue with their telescopic center driveshaft. I've found this K8s chassis very well designed and durable. Even Mitch with M2C is impressed with the design 👀. Going thicker can only do so much and adds punitive weight. True strength comes with higher grade material and that's not feasible for an RTR at this price point. Many people won't need a 7075 T6 chassis, but people who want to routinely jump and totally thump a heavy 1/5th like a 1/8th will gain a substantial benefit 👍. What people see as a problem, I view as a "use dependent" issue. Durability is highly subjective with a broad array of opinions. I see this truck being WAY more durable than others want to believe. Nothing is indestructible of course. Repairing things is simply part of our hobby. So is accepting driver error related damages 😱. As always, I think guys that plan to go extreme should expect to upgrade, whether 6 or 8s. Or just fix what they have and keep bashing 👊!!!! 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊

Some people will jump a almost 30 pound truck 30 feet then complain and call it junk if it breaks. Like you said if you drive this truck the way it was intended you wouldn't have those problems. But of course if you get monster air and have wrecks its gonna break. See I'm a guy who isn't a big air basher so I don't even have to think of worrying about those types of problems. But I understand how guys like you and other big air guys it's all a cost of doing what you do and is expected for a rtr and adding strength is essential. Rich gave the perfect answer, thanks Rich, one thing to add. Mould tooling costs for larger plastic chassis’s is massive and then we are locked into that design/length/size. With ARRMA different chassis mean different vehicles, also guys can drill and dremel alloy, make their own vehicles and make other option parts.

Brother I'm sorry for your misfortune breaking the same ankle twice 😱. That totally sucks. Something like that definitely puts the brakes on mobility 😝. My rig hits in the lower 50's with the 23T. Fast enough for bashing for sure. No ballooning with the MFT internal belting either. These don't have the best glue I'm finding though 🤣. After 4 bashes, I've had to reglue all 4. No biggie, but good to know I guess. Best of luck Harry 🤙. Take it easy and don't reinjure yourself. I worked in Ortho for 15+ years and wore casts, boots, and had surgery myself 😝. Your ankle and lower leg will takes awhile to be at full strength again. 🍻😎💪👊👊

The height is about 8.25" width almost 4" and there's really no ballooning at all with the internal MFT belting. So far I'm very impressed 👀

I think they will be sick on my Reeper and also widen it's stance. Only downside is I can't find the six packs like yours anywhere but the lockup ones I found look nice and aggressive.
