A man after my own heart. I am 48 years old with a 10 year old daughter. I just got into the RC game about 2-3 years ago. I have the Arrma Granite Grom and the Typhon Grom. I was going to pass on this one, but your review has sold me. Just the color scheme alone on yours is really well done. I love that Dumbo RC radio. I have about a dozen RC's binded to one radio. I will have to try a X6FG (Gyro) receiver, as I have just been using X6F's that I get from Aliexpress. Thanks for another great video. I also enjoy your suits, shoes and watches content. A well rounded gent! 😀 If you even remotely like the Granite and Typhon Groms...this one is it! I actually think the Typhon Grom is better suited with the stock brushed system. But this? Oh man. Brought me right back! It dropped the day after I sold my Mojave 4s. 🤔
Your son is a lucky boy with a dad in the hobby! When I saw first vids on the Mojave Grom, I instantly loved it - and ordered one; just gotta wair 2 more weeks or so, 'cos here in Europe we always have to wait for the cool stuff. ;)
I must say the overall look and design is amazing. Not a big fan of the Green Wheels but the tires are awesome. Perfect brushless upgrade performance .. and the body is so so so nice.
I said the exact same thing in my review about the way it feels so much like the 4s mojave. It's incredible how they duplicate that feeling with the little grom! Awesome work BTW! Earned yourself a new sub!

Yeah man, I like this little radio. The extra channels are a bit useless unless used for servos, but the gyro function made my Kyosho MK2 RALLY driveable on 3s 😉
Cool video! I’m in the same boat. I got into planes lately and still have all my cars and trucks. I got this little truck coming in the mail tomorrow. Same color. Man I might have to go brushless like you did!
Just finished installing some upgrades into my Mojave grom tonight. Installed a Hobywing 4500k brushless motor. Hobbywing esc. Receiver for the FlySky Noble 3. Aluminum steering rack. Aluminum esc tray. Aluminum motor plate. And installed a set of Hot Racing steel drive cups on the diffs. I just trimmed the stock motor heatsink and pinched it closed a little and now it fits the smaller can of the Hobbywing. On the stock battery, she hauls ass now.
Great to see another city basher. I live in a small city in NH. I blast the TLR typhon around city streets. Getting the typhon grom soon. My friend wants one of these.

I love my little mojave grom, but I have a castle system in mine, but mine wants to blow over. I got 47mph on 2s and 63mph on 3s blowover limited i got one blast on 3s and my rear diff went out so i would highly recommend getting arrma's metal diffs I've had great luck with them on my typhon and granite grom but i cant wait to see what you do with yours
Good energy here. Love that you're upgrading right away. It sgoes beyond the cookie-cutter reviews of the stock truck. Keep it up! And if you get the chance, maybe inspect the diff outdrives. Those have been a weak point. I'm hoping they're good now.
The diff drive cups still come in plastic. The spider gears in the diff are now metal. But the two side gears in the diffs are still plastic. Upgraded to Hot Racing steel drive cups. Hopefully some one will come up with a steel set of side gears to support the spider gears.

@bigbristv hey my friend thanks for responding, it's funny you say if iam in midtown I was 32St bway but i just retired, and I now live in NJ abd there are a ton of racetrack in NJ on road off road and in between we can definitely hook one day , I have been in the RC since 2005 so you can imagine how many vehicles I have, I caught the RC bug early I want nuts on buying tons of on road, off road, i use my losi vehicles for racing and my traxxas vehicles are for bashing. The 1/14 scale Mojave from is my first arrama, when I took the Mojove out of the box it's definitely a solid truck, my next arrama hopefully will be the 6S talion or the 6S kraton anyway thanks and I'll be in touch thanks my friend God Bless but i think there is a track in the bronx have a great day , thanks your friendly neighborhood hotel DOORMAN William from NYC FORGETTABOUTIT. Nice this little Mojave looks just like it’s big brothers super fun & easy to control. I plan on doing the same what I was wondering is will the electronics from a Rlaarlo fit in it I have the Desert buggy D12 I think & the Terminator both brushless set ups the Desert Buggy is about the same size so I’m pretty sure the motor & esc will fit. Both are ran on 3s & the Desert Buggy is super fast definitely in the 40’s.
Not sure about the rlaarlo stuff, but the setup I have in there is solid. I've used it on a few rigs now with very good results. Just working on how to keep the motor cool 🤔
This is such a good setup for this RC, very impressive. Thanks a lot for sharing! By the way where did you get that mount for the servo so you can mount the speed control? I didn't really want to cut that stock one apart when I replace the esc.
Can’t wait to get mine I’m just gonna do a hole mini series on my channel for a while and racing series can’t wait to rip that Mojave as soon as I get it looks so realistic pretty awesome with the body roll my sunfire 4wd buggy rally car has so much body roll now it looks really cool I’ll have to do a small running video on that one again soon.
I saw this rc today at the hobby store, and i have the typhon grom, and it's tempting to get the mojave, but I have 12 rc cars. im spending, lol. And wondering arrma would do an infraction grom.
@bigbristv OK nitro isn't for everyone but for me I love the sounds and enjoy tuning. I want to get in to 1/5 buggies but here in Malaysia parts are hard to get.
Mine too, but it wasn't the tires' fault. Explains why they don't rip apart on any other rig. Arrma also changed the Senton body because of that. In my Senton Tips video (or maybe the Upgrades video 🤔) I suggest some wheels/tires that worked great for me. And we're cheap, to boot, pun intended 😁
Hello friend 👋. Got a question: A good old friend of mine is sending me a Mojave Grom, new in the box 👌. I want to upgrade to brushless, and I have a combo here for it 👍. Now what I have is a Hobbywing brushless Quicrun 16BL30 with a Quicrun 2435 4500KV motor 😳. Will this system work or motor is way too fast ?
It should work fine, just be sure to check the shaft diameter on the new motor. It may be 2mm whereas the stock on is 2.3mm. As far as speed, that depends on your battery, really.
