This scene is so amazing! I love how Stephen does a lot of it and a lot of the action in general on the show. He’s a beast! It shows how much of a badass Oliver really is!
In my opinion, season 1-2 are OG and the best. Season 3 saw a slight decline but still wasn’t terribly bad. Season 4 had a lot of tone issues and went away from how Arrow was established to be. Season 5 was a great redemption for the show. Season 6 was still okay to meh. Season 7 in the beginning IMO was amazing. I loved prison Oliver, but it dropped down towards the end. And Season 8 was phenomenal.
If you go your own way you shall die in your sins except you repent you shall perish. For God does not take pleasure in the death of the wicked but rather they turn away from their wickedness and live. Why will you die ? but rather turn and live so turn and live ye. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter fear God and keep his commandments for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgement and every secret thing, whether it be good or whether it be evil.
at almost 40, if i consistently train for an hour every 3 days for the next 365 days (factoring in my body's recuperation time), jumping buildings as shown in this episode (jumping length of about 20-30 feet at a 10-20 foot drop; anyone can do the fire escape drop, all you need to master is your hand-arm strength versus your body weight, and i have been messing with iron 2x-3x my weight for 15yrs, have you seen limitless the series?), i can also do it in this manner (if it weren't on building tops, a 20-30 foot jump isn't so impressive; neither was stephen dealing with building height in the shot, he was managing the jump length, which he did, with enough momentum and proper landing techniques), or in other words, real-life ninja aspirants like me respect scenes like these because these productions push this art to the mainstream, we get to see the things we love on civilian tv, its not that obscure anymore, it has gained a little more traction. if only this material has been made available a whole lot earlier, like 20yrs ago when i was still in my teens, i'd join in a heartbeat.
He's tucking and rolling when he lands. The distribution of the impact is over his entire body, not just on his shoulders, hips, or knees. On the other hand, repeated attempts would eventually cause a fracture.
This is a really old comment, but it kind of ticks me off. He never made any superfluous moves. It was all efficiency based. His rolls were surprisingly well performed as well. Stephen Amell trains both parkour and freerunning. He is actually quite well trained a disciplined in that regard.
