Arsenal drop their first points of the season, due to a disappointing draw at home to Brighton. In this video, we go through that red card that I do not agree with and talk about why the referee has let down the integrity of the game and the decision was not done fairly. Let me know what you think!

Do you know how many players kicked the ball away to "delay play", at least 8-10 from what I saw, not one yellow. To people saying Declan should've been smarter, be realistic

That is the best take I‘ve heard so far. It’s balanced and with common sense. Exactly what the referee lacked yesterday. Also, Sterling als false 9 and Havertz at 8? Sounds really interesting. Want to see that actually

Some times i fail to see the use of VAR in epl but it all comes not use the chances you get in the game if we were lethal in half time we would have won the game easily and the only difference between arsenal fc and city fc is the striking force when critically look at city vs westhm fc halland got 4 chances and scored 3 goals

Remember when Simon Hooper "mistakenly" rules out Luis Diaz goal because "miscommunication with VAR"? Arteta said back then, “[The officials] are trying to make the best decisions. We need to understand that mistakes happen.” Didn't think that through, did he?

I do agree the referee bottled the call that costed Arsenal a man short but regardless Arsenal al had a lot of chances Saka missed. Havertz missed some. Glad he was able to convert one. Goal that Brighton scored was poor man management and poor player formation. Odegard knows better to drop down to create a pivot with Partey. What in earth was he doing up top leaving Partey in an island vs 2 attackers. Timbers as well needed to invert into midfield when defending with one man less. Brighton overloaded that midfield. Arteta didn’t really adjust until late after the goal went in.

True but playing with ten men in that frenetic second half was a peculiar situation for the players. They were all out of position, trying to adapt. I'm more surprised we actually managed to create chances at all and not lose the game.

@@jamesrobertson9697 that’s true, they were all adapting but looking at that Havertz chance, in my opinion a killer like haaland bangs that in 8/10 times, I’m all for havertz but no matter the situation whether 10 or 11 men we should be putting away those chances and that ultimately cost us 2 points

The ref was definitely to blame. But it was also our own fault for not taking any of the three great chances by Havertz, Saka and Odegaard. We had 45mins to make it 2:0 and we didn’t. It’s not like they had solid defence.

Sterling as the 9 with martinelli early on then sub for Trossard. Trossard is amazing but works better in a tired down team say 60’ onward. Martinelli has had little goal threat and it’s disappointing but with Kai in the LCM we could see more from martinelli with Kai overlapping

i hate the fact that ars players keep falling down for the foul, if they stop doing it, they might win it on quick transition. The fact that we used to fall down is not good in football overall. Just get back on your feet and move and we might save ourselves more than we think a foul should be given to the opposition team. Saka did it,. Dec did it, odengard did it (tho he is less), seems like that is the problem need to be tackle first. Guys stop falling down, win the duel and if u been foul, get up n get going, unless u hve win it and its towards 70' into the game. Theres a clear distinction between tactics and stupidity. Kai keeps falling down where he shouldn't. He definitely has some balance that need to work with, given the chance to someone like Jesus, or someone else, they might have just finish it. Trossard try hard to prove himself but he do no good, maybe he should come on from the bench after this. If we worked on this not fall down attitude, we will be the distinction by far margins in Prem because all other teams doing it.

After the bayern game and the euros, I think Saka must be aware of how often he ends a run prematurely and doesn't get the foul. I noticed he didn't do it on saturday when he had the option to in the box.
